-She hides a little more in her muffler.-
Jessica:But if this is permanent...I need to learn to do this myself. And um...it woulda...been...real embarrassing...
-Diane smiles-
Diane: I could have taught you.
Jessica:T-that'd be worse! I mean...do you hope I stay...l-like this or somethin'?
-She brings the muffler up to the bottom of her glasses.-
-Diane blushes a bit-
Diane: -sheepishly- Um, a bit, yes...
-What little can be seen of her face goes beet red.-
Jessica:O-oh...u-um...I...
-She just kinda stands there awkwardly.-
Diane: S-so! Um, what next?
Jessica:Um...how about some food? Are you getting hungry?
-She looks like she just wants to get off that topic...although that muffler looks like part of her anatomy by now and it's hard to tell.-
Diane: Food! Food sounds good. Let's go get some food.
-After an awkward silence and paying for Jessica's new clothes, Diane drags her out of the store.-
-Jessica is dragged...again. This time she eventually stops letting herself be dragged and walks beside Diane. She spies a random Café.-
Jessica:How about there? I'll pay this time.
-The muffler slides back down to it's spot on her neck again. She gives a small smile.-
-Diane smiles-
Diane: Sounds good to me! Let 's go.
-Jessica ends up ordering some hot tea.-
Jessica:Ahh...this is good!
-Diane sips coffee quietly, thinking. The reddish tint in her cheeks may or may not be from the cold outside.-
-Jessica raises an eyebrow.-
Jessica:You alright? I mean it's cold out, but you should have warmed up by now. Something on your mind?
-She tilts her head a bit.-
Diane: Well, I was thinking...
-She shakes her head. The redness is even more prominent now.-
Diane: N-nevermind... I'm fine.
-Jessica leans a little closer.-
Jessica:Thinking what? C'mon, you can tell me.
Diane: Well, I... Guess I kinda like you.
-Just when you though she couldn't be more red.-
Jessica:H-huh? But....uh...don't you have a g-g-girlfriend already?
Diane: Yeah, I know, that's why I said "Nevermind"...
-She blushes and turns away-
Jessica:Well...uh...i-if it means anything...
-She takes a deep breath, then look at Diane straight on.-
I like you...too.
-Red enough to generate heat she is.-
-Diane looks back at Jessica, her face and hair roughly the same shade of red.-
Diane: I, um... wish I knew what to say...
Jessica:T...then don't.
-She stands and leans in, giving Diane a quick kiss.-
T...there. I d-did it...
-Yep, still red.-
-Diane just stays silent for a few moments, before pulling Jessica into a real kiss.-
-She's right there with ya now. She pulls away.-
Jessica:W...wow.
-She gets this kinda goofy smile on her face.-
-Diane giggles awkwardly-
Diane: So, um...
-She's just as awkward.-
Jessica:Y-yeah...uh...
-Diane is hugged with a *fwump*-
