Psyche blinks. ~All I'm hearing is the appetizer, when do you start talking about the main course?~
-Doradanne's face brightens considerably.-
Doradanne: Oh, you and I are going to get along fabulously.
-She leads her "princess" off towards Le Wow, a noticeable spring in her step... now that her high heels are off.-
At the restaurant, Psyche stands next to the table. ~Well? Aren't going to get my chair for me?~
-Pent's just wandering around, being all non-canon and all-
-The chair is moved in a flash, Doradanne at it's back.-
Doradanne: My apologies. I'm having to remember most of my etiquette training.
A certain blue-haired woman is also moseying around the city. Though, her mood doesn't seem to be the most positive at the moment.
Psyche grins. ~Consider this reeducation, then~ I've attended many high society gatherings in my time as the Shadow Queen of Nimbasa.~
-Doradanne takes her own seat, blushing a little at having to struggle with her dress.-
Doradanne: I would have to attend dinners with the other portion of my family - those were things to see. The Donnell-Mortons and Morton-Drakes do not get along well.
Psyche laughs derisively. ~Fun. So tell me about yourself.
-Oh hey, there's someone to talk to Fooly-
-Doradanne sucks down her "appetizer", the aforementioned 108-herb soup, without so much as touching her spoon.-
Doradanne: Well, I'm the youngest of my family, I have two brothers and two sisters, and the Donnell-Mortons are an agrarian sort of family - my older sister is an agricultural virologist, and my older brother is as close to the old "Tauros Barons" as you can get these days. I... *Sigh* just find it all so bland. Like, I love Pokemon, but... It just seems so bland.
Psyche eats with a similar zeal, but shows a bit more decorum by using her spoon. She listens intently.
-The first course arrives, and is gone before Doradanne continues.-
Doradanne: I took the regular etiquette courses before eventually using my allowance to study swordplay and olden history. Then, I started gathering a large collection of Pokemon of remarkable talent, either by pedigree, training, or mutation. I was all set up... except for the fact that no one takes me seriously. I... Don't do well under stress.
-She sighs as she remember the disaster that was the Parfum Palace Contest.-
Psyche sighs, listening to this story. ~I know that feeling.~ She pats the other girl's hands.
-Doradanne smiles sadly back at Psyche.-
Doradanne: Thanks. But I don't have psychic powers, either - I've been to all of the experts I know, and I apparently have about as much Auric potential as a Caterpie.
-The second course arrives, and Doradanne goes to town on it.-
Psyche smiles sadly.~They aren't all they're cracked up to be...~
-Doradanne sighs as she sets her second set of plates aside.-
Doradanne: I don't know if that's comforting or disheartening.
Psyche sighs. ~Can't it be both?~
-The third course arrives and is gone in a flash.-
Doradanne: I suppose so. Say, you wouldn't happen to be able to talk to Pokemon, would you?
Psyche nods. ~Why?~
Doradanne: Well, it just seems like a common skill for heroes to have - being able to converse with your Pokemon just seems like it would make everything so much easier.
Fool bumps into Pent during her walk
Fool: Why, hello there Pent! How have you been my friend.
Oh, I've been fine.
-He shrugs-
You?
Fool sighs
Fool: I've been... alright I guess.
She looks kinda sullen at the moment.
Is... Is something wrong? :c
