Stage

Ren takes a small bow, and tosses Hecate's capsuled Luxury ball. Instead of a Luxury Ball's normal red and white sparkles, Hecate emerges amidst a flurry of Ghostly green and blue will-o-wisps and swirls the color of ghost Obscura.-

-Hecate's Accessory ensemble consists of a whitch's hat that has had its point cut off so that Hecate's flame can be the "point". She also has a small broom that she is holding.-

Ren: Today Hecate will be performing a Cute appeal using Flame Burst, Will-o-Wisp, and Round. Please enjoy! Hecate, Iiit's sshoooow tiiime!

-The house lights dim as a scream starts off an upbeat song-

On Stage

-Hecate is singing along with the song using Round  to stay in harmony with the music. She is also jumping around in time with the music waving her broom to "direct" the movement of her Will-o-Wisp-

Hecate:

-Hecate jumps with her stubby arms in the air and a huge smile on her face as she says the final two words of the stanza, and mirrors the routine as the stanza repeats.-

-When the musical interlude with sound effects starts, Hecate start float around, with her will-o-wisps floating around her and using Flame Burst to create pictures fireworks style of the sound effects.-

-A broken clock face...-

-A Purlion's face...-

-A Murkrow...-

-A grinning Sableye...-

-A  flaring Chandelure...-

-Another broken clock face...-

-A Dusknoir...-

-And a  Noctowl's head.-

-As the lyrics start up again, Hecate starts using round instead of Flame burst.-

Hecate:

-On the final scream Hecate uses a Flame Burst that explodes in the shape of a jack-o-lantern.-

-There is applause as the sparks fade and the house lights raise-

-Ren's parents are applauding.-

Eric: I'm impressed.

Clara: You always say that when Ren uses a fire type for an appeal.

Eric: You're just down because Ren doesn't use Rock-types much.

On Stage

-Ren and Hecate take a bow - really, ren is the one who took a bow, Hecate did something along the lines of "sticking her arms out and bending at her 'waist'".-

Backstage

-Ren and Hecate walk backstage.-

-Ren makes a mad dash for the changing area he claimed to change into his third and final outfit of the day.-

Stands

Lina: -to Amh- There are a lot of Halloween displays this time...

-Joseph watches with anticipation-

Lina: Probably.

-Joseph does a brief Happy Dance-

-Joseph's mood takes a swift 180 as he hugs Martin-

Backstage

-Ren nods with satisfaction as his picture is displayed, he turns at Martin's words and his face falls a bit.-

Ren: -kindly- Thank you Martin. If you'll allow me to offer my opinion on your appeal, more than anything, you tried too hard and tried to go too big. You shouldn't try to hold yourself to our standards. Joseph and his mon have a natural talent for contests, and as for me, I've been a coordinator for over 10 years. You may be new to official contests, but so were others today. Some did good, and some did bad, but the all did the same thing I did when I was just starting; they started small.

-Ren puts his right hand on the teen's shoulder-

Martin, don't be afraid of doing things small and soft; remember, bigger isn't always better. So don't mope because of a setback, okay?

-Ren has an idea. takes out a small card with gold-leaf borders, which he then signs.-

Ren: -holding out the card- Martin, here. Take this to the VIP section of the stands. This will let you watch the Battle segment in comfort. Have a drink and a snack while you'll watch, and Joseph and I will see you after the final round.

Auditorium

-The brackets have been displayed on the screen. Ren and Joseph's placement in the brakets ensure that the can only meet in the finals.-

Ren: -Smiles, to Martin- Actually, this is only good for today. I got a lot of these because I was an exhibitionist. It would be a more of a waste to not use it.

-The first battle pairing has been displayed. Joseph is against a lady who has just as much experience with contests as Ren does.-

On Stage

-A brunette in a blue Dress takes her position on stage.-

Helen: Well let's move on. I do so dislike people who aren't punctual.

On Stage

Helen: About time, boy.

Emcee: Now that both entrants have taken their positions, let the contest battle Between Joseph Hudson and Helen Maythis begin.

-A yellow bar appears beneath the pictures of Joseph and Helen as a Buzzer sounds-

-Helen sends out a Togekiss and a Vileplume amidst as shower of sparks and cherry blossoms via their seal capsules-
