Tyler: I guess we at least know what we're up against now...

Wraith: <Yes, and what's to stop it from just making that happen again, except with a layer of the Earth's crust?>

Tyler: Of course...

Wraith: <We're dealing with Glitches. It always gets worse.>

I'm not sure. I know some have come into being from horrible accidents with the PC.

Tessa: I don't care where they come from, just that they have to go.

-she pulls out the picture of the map-

Tessa: Okay... Jubilife is just ahead. Maybe we can find help or information there.

-the group enters Jubilife...-

-and is greeted by a young boy, around seven or so, tugging desperately a woman's--presumably his mother--sleeve, who looks absently into space-

Boy: Momma! Momma, what's wrong? Can't you hear me?

-a few passersby, several who are the wrong color, give him sympathetic looks. A man dressed in a black uniform with a patch on his chest showing a triangle inside a square inside a circle, appears and moves over towards the boy and his mother. A woman follows him, similarly dressed-

Man: William Grayson?

Boy: -sniffs- I--I'm Billy. What happened to my momma?

Man: We need to bring your momma to the big house, okay? And you need to go with Miss Lila here. -he gestures to the hard-faced woman beside him, who makes an attempt at a warm face- You'll be able to see your momma soon, but right now we need to bring her with us.

Billy: B-but the big house has all the freaks in it! Momma's not a freak!

Man: They're not freaks, Billy, they're Glitched. And you're mother will come home as soon as she gets better.

Lila: -steps forward and sweeps Billy along in front of her- Come along, we need to go.

Billy: Momma! -he reaches around Lila towards his mother, who doesn't notice him. Lila firmly grabs his arm and pulls him along, and he finally relents and follows-

Man: -waves his hands at the passersby- Move along! Don't gawk at the Glitched. You want the same to happen to you?

-the people gulp collectively and hurry on their way-

Man: -sighs and runs his fingers through his hair, then unclips a radio from his belt and speaks into it- Deputy Jake Smith, we have a Glitched in the main plaza... Memory loss. Yeah. She has a kid, too, Lila took him with her.

-he sighs-

Jake: Look, I just need someone to come pick her up. I have stuff I need to take care of. Yeah, yeah, I know. I'll take your next one. Thanks Natalie, you're the best.

-he clips the radio back to his belt and turns away from the woman, suddenly noticing the group-

Jake: Newcomers? Who are you, and what's your business in Jubilife?

Tessa: -steps forward- We're from Canalave! We're gonna kill Missingno.!

-Jake laughs-

Jake: A bunch of nunners like you are gonna kill the Glitch? When the Order Police have tried and failed?

Tessa: The... what?

Jake: Boy, you are sheltered, aren't you?

Hey, if some kid can stop a Crazy guy from destroying Sinnoh, we can stop Missingno.

Jake: Y'mean that girl and Cyrus? That madman's got nothing on the Glitch. Y'all are just a bunch of nunners, you don't get it. You don't have an Order Police, or Glitched popping up all over the place. That kid? That type of thing happens regularly.

-he hesitates for a moment, then turns and motions with a hand-

Jake: Follow me. Let me show you what you're up against.

-Adrian follows-

Jake: -stops in front of one of the large buildings that are common in Jubilife--this one, however, is crawling in the black-uniformed, hard-faced men and women wearing the patch of triangle inside a square inside a circle- Welcome to the Big House. This is where we keep the Glitched, until they go normal.

-he nods to a woman with long blonde hair, who casts a suspicious glance at the newcomers, then opens the door-

-inside is complete chaos--children and Pokemon with almost comically elongated limbs, colored in all kinds of colors that they by all rights should not be colored, run around, screaming with laughter as they tear the place apart. A few of the Order Police and a few Nurse Joys try to maintain order, which is all but impossible to maintain-

-over in the corner are the adults. Some are colored like the others, or misshapen, or pixelated, and some just stare at the wall, looking dazed-

Jake: The Unnumbered One did this. It's playing with reality like a kid with a finger paint set. It might not even know what it's doing. We have no idea. But you really think you can take what did all this on... and win?

Tessa: -completely unfazed- Absolutely!

Jake: ... Kid, you're a moron.
