Lucius: Yes, let's! I'll be the boss, since I came up with the idea, and you can be my first Admin. Together, we'll be Team Confectionery, fighting for the right to eat junk food all day without any ill effects whatsoever!
-He pauses, then thinks for a moment.-
Lucius: ...Can we run an evil team and still be superheroes at the same time, though? I dunno how many double lives I'm willing to lead.
Crewe: Hm... maybe we could do it openly, but this still sounds like a lot of work. Maybe the world will just have to wait for healthy cake until we're not needed as superheroes anymore. Or until we retire.
-Lucius scratches his cheek.-
Lucius: Yeah, work seems like it'd go against every principle that Team Confectionery stands for. Still, I dunno about you, but I'm not planning on hanging up my cape any time soon. Not that I wear a cape, but you know what I mean. After all, why would I wanna quit? I've got a purpose in life, great job satisfaction, and a loyal partner. All I'm missing is a beautiful woman hanging off of each arm.
-Crewe rolls her eyes-
Crewe: You are utterly ridiculous, fruitcake. I hope you realize that.
-she leans against him-
Crewe: I know how you feel, though. I like being a superhero. And I do have a cape.
-Lucius smiles.-
Lucius: Of course I know that I'm ridiculous. It's part of my charm. After all, without me, what would you poke fun at?
-she smiles back-
Crewe: Heh. I have no idea. I'd just be totally lost, I guess.
-she pops another handful of popcorn into her mouth, looking thoughtful-
Lucius: Exactly! We depend on each other. It's been like that ever since I took you in and gave your life meaning out of the goodness of my heart. That's true heroism, right there.
-He's too busy congratulating himself to notice Crewe's pensive expression.-
-Crewe laughs, rolling her eyes-
Crewe: Yeah, yeah, you're the light of my life, fruitcake. The more you draw attention to it, the less likable you become.
-Lucius gives a small shrug.-
Lucius: Hey, this is a two-man show. Without you, I'd look pretty stupid running about in a Lucario costume all by myself.
-Crewe shoulders him, grinning-
Crewe: Right, because you most certainly don't look stupid running around in a Lucario costume with me there running around in a Sneasel-viking costume.
-Lucius answers with a light punch to Crewe's shoulder.-
Lucius: At least then I'm not the only person doing it. Besides, hanging around with a cute girl all the time must do wonders for my reputation.
-a slight blush enters her cheeks as she rolls her eyes-
Crewe: Right. And I'm sure being rescued by a girl all the time is also doing wonders for your reputation.
-Lucius punches her in the shoulder again.-
Lucius: I already told you, that last one didn't count as a rescue. I was just waiting for the right moment to free myself, which coincidentally happened to be around the same time that you showed up.
-Crewe snickers-
Crewe: You just keep telling yourself that, fruitcake. Whatever floats your boat.
-Lucius gives an exaggerated huff and folds his arms.-
Lucius: If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were trying to undermine my authority.
-Crewe snorts-
Crewe: What? Me? Never. I would never undermined your "authority".
Lucius: See, now that's what I like to hear. Truly you are my most loyal underling. And also my only underling, but that's beside the point.
Crewe: Y'know, maybe I should stage a coup. I bet I'd make a better leader than you. At least I wouldn't have to be rescued all the time.
-This time it's Lucius' turn to snort.-
Lucius: Yeah, right. You'd get bored of leadership after a week tops. The only tactical incompetence you'd be able to make fun of would be your own. With great power comes great responsibility, and with great responsibility comes great amounts of pointless busywork. Besides, you like me far too much to overthrow me.
Crewe: Hm... maybe you have a point. I like being the loose cannon of the team. I couldn't do that if I was officially responsible for watching out for you.
-Lucius grins.-
Lucius: Precisely. Just think of all the trouble I'd get myself into.
Crewe: Ugh. And I would be expected to fix it even more than I already do. Sounds horrible.
Lucius: Now you understand just how lonely it is up here at the top. The demands of leadership are many and varied. It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it.
-He then frowns.-
Lucius: ...They haven't brought our pizza yet. What kind of celebration doesn't have pizza?
Crewe: Mmhmm. Of course.
-she looks over at the door, frowning, then shrugs-
Crewe: A lame one? That pizza better be super awesome.
-Lucius gives a dissatisfied grunt.-
Lucius: Hmph. How are we supposed to celebrate properly if we don't have pizza? All we've done is just sat around and talked. That's hardly celebrating. In fact, it's like the opposite of celebrating.
