Sarah: Well, there's no saying that we can't polish up your armor a little bit and make that happy ending~
-Lucius' smile broadens, and it would take empathic senses which Sarah does not possess at this point in time in order to detect the faint hint of sadness behind it.-
Lucius: ...I guess you're right. Maybe someday I'll be able to hang Tsumugari over the mantelpiece of my little house in Unova and tell the kids all about the weird and wonderful adventures that the princess and I went on.
-In Sarah's daze, the "kids" remark goes unnoticed.-
Sarah: Heh... that'd be nice...
-She starts to struggle to her feet-
-Lucius rushes to support Sarah in an effort to stop her from falling over.-
Lucius: Whoa, easy there. I reckon you should lie down for a bit. This is your room, after all. Though I can keep you company for a little while longer, if that's okay with you.
-Sarah giggles again-
Sarah: Don't worry, I was just moving toward the bed...
-She leans against Lucius slightly-
Sarah: Having some company would be nice, though... could you stay with me tonight?
-If Lucius was red before, that's nothing compared to what he is now.-
Lucius: Uh... sure. Though I might have to slip out at some point during the night because you know, hero stuff and all...
-He slowly starts to lower Sarah into her bed.-
Sarah: Okay...
-She curls up as she's set into bed-
Sarah: Thanks, Herby...
-Lucius sighs as he lays down next to Sarah.-
Lucius: ...One of these days, I need to tell you about Herbert. The real Herbert. You would've liked him, I'm sure.
Sarah: I'm sure I would...
-She snuggles into Lucius-
Sarah: You don't mind me still calling you "Herby", though, right? It's... well, it's how I've always known you...
"I suppose. Your disguise isn't particularly difficult to tell if you really think about it. Lucario themed, purple, emphasis on Aura, general personality... Still kept me fooled though."
Lucius: Looks like I need to work on my acting skills a little, then.
-He rubs his head and stands up rather suddenly.-
Lucius: Anyway, I should probably be heading back to the cave now... just to get things in order, you understand. Don't want to leave the place in too much of a state... see you around, I guess.
-He starts to walk off.-
Lucius: ...No. I don't mind.
-Sarah smiles-
Sarah: Okay... thanks, Herby... again...
-She drifts off to sleep, cuddling him.-
-Crow decides now would probably be a good time to give a status report and, as a result, calls Titan-
Murcrow: <Hey, Titan. For an update of what's currently going on, I ended up battling a Frogadier a bit ago and sorta-managed to infiltrate Zrone's base.>
-Lucius is currently in small therapist's office somewhere in Nimbasa, the therapist herself - a tall young woman - sat opposite him. The nameplate on her desk reads "Dr. Yamada". A Stoutland is sat in the corner of the room, snoring and wheezing in its sleep.-
Dr Yamada: ...Well, Lucius, I think we've done all we can for this week. We've been making good progress so far, but presumably you don't want to stay here over the weekend.
Lucius: That's right.
Dr Yamada: Then you're free to go. Despite what you seem to believe, you don't appear to be a danger to either yourself or others at present. Remember to keep the dream journal I asked you to write up-to-date, and I'll see you again on Monday.
Lucius: ...Yeah. Sure. See you then.
-He picks himself up and starts heading out into the streets of Nimbasa, checking the internet on his wrist-mounted computer.-
Lucius: (Okay, I'd be lying if I said that didn't help, but spending a week cooped up inside that psych ward just made me feel so useless, like nothing more than a burden... I need something to focus on other than my myriad mental issues. There has to be something I can do to get my mind off of things...)
-Whilst attempting to check on the status of the superheroes on his computer, a certain video comes to his attention.-
Lucius: (Hmm... is that...?)
-After a few moments, Titan answers the call, though it sounds as if his attention is elsewhere.-
Titan: ...I see. The former information is entirely irrelevant. The latter, however, could prove to be highly important. What exactly do you mean by "sorta-managed"? Given the nature of infiltration, I would presume that either you succeeded, or you did not.
Murcrow: <Well, it might be relevant because I the only ranged attack I have is Ghost-type and it might be helpful if I had another, but okay.>
<Anyway, I made it inside and found out that he's keeping something there and that he has robots guarding the place which are surprisingly susceptible to electricity despite using it themselves.>
<Also, he has some sort of scepter that was apparently a prototype for his attempt to remake the world in a way apparently only humans in human form would understand. I'm not sure entirely what it does, but it does nullify abilities, made my team and me weaker for a bit, and did something else that felt weird and wrong, but I couldn't say for sure what it was.>
<But I said sorta because while I did find all that out, we revealed we were there in the process.>
-Titan taps his fingers against his desk.-
Titan: Hrm... this is a troubling development. I may be able to spare a team of Grunts for further investigation, but nothing more. All of our assets are currently dedicated to ongoing operations. In fact, I may need to call upon your services for a scouting mission, provided that you believe you are willing to undertake such a task with your current moveset.
Murcrow: <Hm... That would be helpful, though I've been talking with that, well, Greninja now, and we were planning on organizing some of the Phone People who know Zrone or would otherwise want to help to sneak into his base, free whatever he has captured and see if they'll help us take him down. I would suggest a team-up, but I'm admittedly not sure how well that would go...>
<But, oh, what sort of scouting mission?>
Titan: ...Poorly, that's how. Very poorly indeed. As for the scouting mission, it has come to my attention that a pair of costumed vigilantes recently destroyed one of Illusion's devices in the Haruba Desert. My Excubitors are currently attempting to track down the perpetrators as we speak, but what I would have you investigate is the fact that Shard herself is overseeing retrieval of the machine's wreckage. Needless to say, I would much rather we be the ones to perform salvage operations rather than Illusion.
Murcrow: <Ah.>
<And I can do that, sure. Did you give Finn the heads up about all this, though? His base is in Hippowdon Temple, so he should be able to help.>
<Who are the Excubitors, though?>
-Titan sounds almost confused at Crow's question.-
Titan: ...Why would I do that? I would not expect a mere animal to be capable of advanced reconnaissance and deterrence any more than I would expect an untrained civilian to be capable of neurosurgery. That, and Finn has proven himself to be nothing more than a persistent nuisance. As for the Excubitors, they are a specialised task force I established to combat the recent rise of so-called "superheroes". Thus far, they have been performing above and beyond expectations - their very presence has been enough to effectively drive the once-burgeoning faction underground both metaphorically and literally.
Murcrow: <...Ah.>
<Well, I'll head over there and see what I can figure out as well as a way to stop her.>
Titan: Best of luck.
-The connection goes dead.-
Murcrow: <Right...>
-Crow prepares to get ready when the Eevee strolls up to him-
Eevee: <...You're going off again, then.>
Murcrow: <Yeah. Should hopefully be back soon, though.>
Eevee: <Right, well...>
<About what you said before?>
Murcrow: <You do want to join after all?>
Eevee: <Well... See more how it is at least.>
Murcrow: <Oh, sure.>
<I'll get a ball for you, then. I'll see about a name later because you're probably not going to need one this time.>
<Oh, and try and be stealthier this time.>
Eevee: <...Right.>
Hopefully, Dad doesn't find out at least...
-Crow, who is now wearing a turquoise Domino Mask, comes flying in here, looking for things-
-Finn, who Crow did tell after all, is observing the ruins of the area with the Bronzor-
-Somewhere in the desert, Shard and her right-hand Member are poking around the crater left by the emotion machine's explosion, examining what's left of the wreckage. Shard is clearly suffering in the heat beneath her armour, and S' silver suit doesn't appear to be doing her any favours either as she scrounges around in the sand.-
Shard: Finished yet?
S: No, though that might be because I don't see you getting down here to help me out...
-Since the heat is rather unfriendly to Ice-type Pokemon, the only Pokemon currently out of their ball is S' Purrloin, which seems perfectly content to lounge around and watch the proceedings.-
-Finn is watching Shard and S do stuff-
Finn: <Hmph. Good thing they're not done yet. Hope Triton gets here soo->
-Crow then flies in at that time-
Triton: <Hey. Sorry I'm late.>
Finn: <Ah, there you are.>
Bronzor: <Ah. You're the boss's trainer? Nice to meet you.>
Triton: <Uh, nice to meet you...>
Finn: <Persephone. She joined a few days after I set up in Hippowdon Temple.>
<And was certainly nicer about it than some of the others there...>
Triton: <Right. So... what do we know...>
Finn: <Well, they haven't found anything yet and our job's to stop them.>
Triton: <Right...>
Finn: <And you can both float, so...>
-He starts shaking the ground with an Earthquake to try and disrupt Shade and S, Persephone already floating and Crow getting off the ground quickly enough to not be affected-
