Lucius: Like I said, you've got a pretty good disguise going. Just lay off the pink accessories a bit and you'll have everybody fooled.
-He leans back in his chair again, sighing.-
Lucius: Well, I won't keep you much longer. I have stuff that needs doing. And I'm sure you're keen to start spending time with your new boyfriend rather than a washout like me.
Sakura looks somewhat worried for a bit, she then takes a deep breath and gives a small smile.
"It all goes wrong every time I try and do something right..."
She then begins singing, the lyrics making it obvious that she also speaking directly to him.
-Lucius blinks in surprise, but doesn't say anything and instead elects to let Sakura finish the whole song, his expression impassive.-
As Sakura finishes, she gives Lucius a small smile
"I thought this song could get a few of my thoughts out in a more pleasant way. Stop thinking of yourself as a "washout" or something like that when people obviously care about you. Stop trying to pile up responsabilities on top of yourself when you already have a lot of things to worry about. Every hero is contributing in their own way to make the world a better place, you're one among them, not their boss. If you don't want us to get hurt, do you honestly think we want YOU to get hurt? You're going nowhere by acting alone, stop concerning yourself so much with us and think about yourself for once. There's nothing with sitting back occasionally and having some fun when there's nothing else happening, nothing wrong with being dumb for a day and laugh the day off with friends and enjoy the moment. We're just as responsible for you as you are for us."
Psyche is available. And Mysterious.
-Lucius' expression remains impassive for several more moments before he finally manages a rather thin smile.-
Lucius: ...Believe me, I'd love to call all this quits and just let things go back to normal - or at least, as close to normal as I'm ever going to get. But I'm too far gone for that. The concern's appreciated, though. I'll try to take things easy for a while... for your sake, and for Sarah's. And don't waste time worrying about me in future. It's bad for your health, considering how often I seem to find myself in trouble.
-Psyche may notice Lucius occupying himself by jogging through the streets of Pueltown, though his mind appears to be in an entirely different location to his body.-
Psyche does indeed notice and beams to him. ~Surprise, Bitch. I bet you'd thought you'd seen the last of me.~
"Being a superhero is bad for my health and you don't see me complaining."
Sakura then moves to give Lucius a careful hug.
"I just don't want my friends to throw themselves into danger, at least, not without help. I'm here, Lucius, if you ever feel like going into harm's way, I'll gladly dress up and go with you to offer some help. It's not bothering me, it's my job. Seeing you get that beaten up and being able to do nothing about it, it just makes me feel useless. So please, let me help."
-Lucius looks rather surprised as Sakura goes to hug him.-
Lucius: ...You don't need me to tell you how to be a hero, you know. You're better at helping people than I am. I'll keep you on speed-dial, but at the end of the day Titan's my father and that makes him and his goons my problem. I'm the only one who needs to lose sleep over them.
-In his inattentive state, Lucius nearly falls over in surprise upon being accosted by Psyche, but manages to catch himself.-
Lucius: Oh, uh... hey there, Caroline. Sorry about not meeting you at the Dusk Factory like I said I would, but I've been... well, let's just say that there's been plenty to keep me occupied.
-Psyche might notice that, whilst Lucius doesn't look as dishevelled as he did yesterday, he's still clearly recuperating from a number of bruises.-
"No, you're wrong. They are a threat to the entire world, they're everybody's problem, not just yours. When someone plans to destroy the whole world, his son isn't the one who should be concerned with it."
Psyche shrugs. ~I've kinda been dealing with my own senses of crippling insecurity, so you know, not been bored waiting for you.~
-Lucius raises an eyebrow at Sakura.-
Lucius: ...You don't think he actually has a chance of succeeding, do you?
-Lucius gives a small sigh before folding his arms and fixing Psyche in his sights.-
Lucius: That makes two of us, then. You've been keeping yourself out of trouble, I hope?
"Honestly I can't tell anymore. Whether he can or not, I'd rather not allow him to try so I can find out."
-Something akin to a grin begins to form on Lucius' face.-
Lucius: In that case, tell that sidekick of yours to step up his training, because I don't plan on waiting around for Titan to make his next move. I just need a couple of days off-duty to let the bruises heal, and then we can let him have it.
Psyche nods. ~Just got out of the hospital yesterday.~
Sakura breaks the hug because yes she was still hugging him and sweatdrops
"Actually I told him not too long ago to take it easy, he actually so much into the training that he was pretty much ignoring everyone unless they came searching for him."
Lucius: ...Much like me, in other words.
-He gives a small shake of his head, then a smirk.-
Lucius: You know, some people would say you have bad taste in boys.
-Lucius raises an eyebrow at Psyche, concern passing across his face.-
Lucius: ...How was your stay?
"Is it bad taste to like people who are nice and hard-working?" she smiles.
-Lucius gives a shrug.-
Lucius: I think the words most people would use are "self-critical" and "obsessive", but yours sound nicer.
"Come on, give Blitz a break, he has to make double the effort we do since he has train as both a human and a Pokémon."
-Lucius sighs.-
Lucius: I know, I know. It'd be hypocritical of me to complain about someone else's obsessive behaviour when I'm pretty much the textbook definition of the word. Just... forget about it.
"Take it easy, Lucius, we're just joking around."
-Lucius rubs his forehead with a gloved hand, though his glove appears to have had one of its fingers torn off by the thorny bush he was sleeping in earlier.-
Lucius: Yeah, I know. And I'm always the one who takes the joke too far and ends up souring the atmosphere. Hence why I said to just forget about it.
"Well, all right then. Anyway, it'll probably be good to go back to action, I might end up lagging behind if I stay away for too long. Plus, it'd be an occasion for you and Gekkobi to finally meet each other."
Lucius: I suppose it will. Anyway, don't let me keep you. You've got a confession to make, whilst I've got to figure out how to be selfish for a few days. You know how to get in touch with me if you need me.
