Crewe: You make a good point. Hm...
-she looks around, and becomes aware of a mostly-melted tub of ice cream on the floor. She points at it-
Crewe: There's still that. We don't have to get off the couch for that.
-Lucius grimaces.-
Lucius: You can have that. I'm not a wild animal, I don't eat anything that's been on the floor for more than an hour. Who's dumb idea was it to put the minifridge so far away from the sofa, anyway?
Maul: ~Yours.~
Lucius: Quiet, you. You're undermining my leadership.
Crewe: Bah. It's in a container. What's wrong with it? It's just a little melted.
-she reaches down and picks up the tub, starting to eat the melted ice cream-
Crewe: Still tastes chocolatey. If you don't want it, you can find your own breakfast, fruitcake.
-Lucius frowns and turns back towards the TV.-
Lucius: I'll pass for now, thanks. I wasn't even that hungry in the first place.
-He fumbles around and manages to locate the remote that evaded him yesterday before idly flipping through channels.-
-Crewe rolls her eyes-
Crewe: Right. Of course not.
-she drops her head against his shoulder-
Crewe: It's super yummy, though.
-Lucius gives a mock scowl.-
Lucius: Don't try to seduce me, you temptress. I'm immune to your charms.
-Crewe snickers-
Crewe: Oh really? You can resist the siren song of melted chocolate ice cream?
-she holds up a spoonful under his nose-
Crewe: It's cootie-free!
-Lucius turns his nose up at the offer of melted chocolate ice cream.-
Lucius: Of course I can. I don't trust you and I don't trust anything that's come into contact with you. A simple policy that's served me well throughout the years.
-Crewe pouts as she eats the ice cream herself-
Crewe: Aw, what? Is that any way to treat the person who saved your life? And I thought we were getting along so well.
-she drops the spoon back in the tub and wraps her arms around him, grinning-
Crewe: Besides, aren't you supposed to break down and confess to how much you love hugs after I save you? That was our deal, right?
-Lucius goes a rather distinct shade of red.-
Lucius: ...That last fight wasn't nearly climactic enough. Besides, my life was never really in danger. That Amplifier dork would probably get queasy at the concept of killing time, yet alone people.
Crewe: Not climactic? I smacked a Luxray in the face with my shield. That was awesome. Besides, you don't know that. It could've all been a facade and she was really just super psychotic and would've snapped you like a twig if I hadn't shown up just in the nick of time.
-Lucius snorts.-
Lucius: Yeah, right. I think I was in more danger when I faced the freaking Hydrator. At least he went to the trouble of putting together an actual deathtrap, even if it failed miserably at its intended purpose.
-Crewe raises an eyebrow-
Crewe: The Hydrator? These people have even stupider names than we do.
Lucius: You're telling me. I'm worried that I might setting a bad example. Still, I guess we're better off facing people like the Hydrator than, say, somebody calling themselves "the Executioner" or something.
Crewe: You absolutely are setting a bad example. Because now these people are ridiculous but they take themselves seriously. You should've called yourself the Fruitcake. Then the villains would have no excuse to take themselves seriously and we could beat them up like it's nothing.
-Lucius raises an eyebrow.-
Lucius: ...You know, there's times when I wonder if you got into this whole thing just so that you'd have an excuse to beat people up without consequence.
Crewe: Nuh-uh. I joined so I could beat up jerks without consequence while wearing a sweet outfit.
-Lucius shakes his head despairingly.-
Lucius: You are a girl of simple pleasures, aren't you?
-Crewe beams at him and hugs him tighter-
Crewe: Yep! Violence, hugs, and ice cream. That's pretty much all I need in life.
-Lucius does his best to maintain an impassive expression even as his cheeks redden.-
Lucius: Such a tragedy, then, that I can only provide two of those three things.
Crewe: Well, duh. I already ate all your ice cream.
Lucius: All of your ice cream, you mean. I still have plenty. I just can't be bothered to get up and fetch it.
Crewe: I don't believe you.
-she yawns and curls up against him, holding him closer-
Crewe: Besides, if you really hated hugs, I wouldn't be doing this, now would I?
-Lucius only grows redder.-
Lucius: Wouldn't you? Because you've gone to pretty extreme lengths just to annoy me in the past.
-Crewe looks mock insulted-
Crewe: Annoy you? All I ever wanted was a hug! Are hugs really so terrible, fruitcake?
