Saffron City, about 15 years ago
-A 16-year-old girl with long pink hair is sitting on a bench in the middle of the city, a Charmander sleeping on her lap. Sitting to her right is another girl about the same age, with short blonde hair. A Bulbasaur, Bellsprout, Oddish, and Exeggcute are playing nearby.-
-The girl with pink hair looks at the scarlet sky and gently nudges her Charmander. The Charmander yawns and opens his eyes.-
???: The sun's setting.
-The other girl nods and stands up.-
???: Vewe, Vlerë, Vafra, Vrucht!
-The four Grass-type Pokémon stop running around and look over at the blonde-haired girl.-
???: We're heading home for the night! C'mon!
-The Grass-types run to the blonde-haired girl as the Charmander yawns again and jumps off of the pink-haired girl's lap. The girls walk awhile before either says anything.-
???: You haven't been very talkative lately, Anima.
-The pink-haired girl softly smiles.-
??? Anima: Neither have you.
-The blonde-haired girl smiles back.-
???: True enough. Arceus knows we've both had a lot on our minds.
-Anima stops walking as the other girl turns a corner.-
Anima: Hey, Lynette...
-The blonde-haired girl stops and turns around.-
??? Lynette: Hm?
Anima: Can we... Can we stop by my old house again today?
-Lynette solemnly smiles.-
Lynette: Of course.
-The two walk in the opposite direction and reach a house surrounded by police officers. A young-looking police officer walks in their direction. He smiles at Anima.-
???: Visiting again, Ms. Haven?
Anima: Officer Shane! Nice to see you!
-Though she tries to hide them with her smile, tears run down the side of her face. Her Charmander hugs her leg in an attempt to comfort her. She crouches down and begins to pet him.-
Anima: ...How much longer will it take...?
Shane: ...Detective Collins has been saying the trial will last only a single day more.
Anima: Then... the last day is tomorrow?
Shane: Barring any unforeseen complications, yeah. Probably.
-Anima stops petting her Charmander and stands back up.-
Anima: Thank you.
-She walks away.-
Lynette: Er... it was nice seeing you, Officer.
-She bows nervously, then runs to catch up with Anima. The two return to Lynette's house for the night.-
Outside Saffron City Courthouse, the next day
-Anima is sobbing. Lynette, too, is crying as she tries to comfort Anima.-
Anima: H-How... could th-they do this...? "The e-evidence was insufficient"? No it w-wasn't! Why would they even s-say something like that?! They're m-monsters... All of them!
-Lynette hugs Anima. Both continue to cry.-
Saffron City Detention Center, several days prior
-Anima and Lynette are in a visiting room, talking to a man on the other side of a wall of bulletproof glass.-
Anima: Rueckl...
-Rueckl smiles, his eyes and hair the same red hue.-
Rueckl: Ms. Haven, Ms. Heath. I don't often get visitors. This is certainly a pleasant surprise.
Anima: Drop the facade.
Lynette: You know why we're here.
Anima: We need you to confess.
Rueckl: I'm sorry, what was that?
Anima: Confess, dammit! You killed my parents! Why can't you just be honest about it?! The evidence will--
Rueckl: Ms. Haven. My attorney has already rendered your testimony inadmissible. According to the law, I am the one who's being truthful. Because that's the truth. I did not commit the crime of which I am accused.
Anima: ...But you told me...! You outright told me that you killed them...!
Rueckl: ...Did I...? I fear your memory's a bit hazy... I don't remember saying anything of the sort.
-He smiles again. Anima glares at him.-
Anima: ...You...! You bastard...!
-Rueckl laughs, and turns to the guard.-
Rueckl: I apologize, Ms. Haven seems to be in an unpleasant mood today. May I return to my cell?
-The guard nods, and leaves with Rueckl.-
Saffron City, the day after Rueckl's acquittal
-Anima is running through the city, sobbing. Lynette is trying to keep up with her.-
Lynette: Anima, what are you doing?! Where are you going?!
Anima: ...You should know. W-we walk this way almost every day.
Lynette: ...Your old house... but... why...?
Anima: It's the scene of th-the crime. I'm investigating. They m-missed something, dammit! I know they did!
-Lynette's eyes start to water as they get near the house. The police are nowhere in sight.-
Lynette: Even if you find something, it won't change anything. The case is closed.
Anima: I don't care. I just need to prove he did i-it... Rueckl... That man does not deserve to be free right now!
-She tears through the police tape and runs into the building.-
Lynette: Anima, you're insane! Damn...
-She runs in after Anima.-
-Anima runs to the scene of the crime, frantically tearing the room apart.-
Anima: There's gotta be s-something! Anything...!
Lynette: Anima... Calm down... please...
???: There's nothing. Don't worry, I already checked.
-Rueckl enters the room, smiling.-
Anima: You...! YOOOoOOOoooOOUUuuU!
-She runs toward Rueckl, who kicks her to the floor.-
Lynette: Anima!
Rueckl: Ms. Haven... I'm trying to send a message. Your parents were bad at comprehending that, too.
Anima: Rueckl...!
Rueckl: Maybe this will make it clear to you. I can do anything I want.
Silence.
Rueckl had pulled out a gun.
And in an instant, Lynette was on the ground in a puddle of her own blood.
That nightmarish sound echoed for far too long. It could have been an eternity.
Then...
Silence.
I don't know how long it lasted. The rest of that encounter was a blur.
Somehow, I ended up with Rueckl's gun...
I didn't feel remorse. Not at all.
As I pulled the trigger, everything became clear to me.
When justice fails, the only thing to do is take matters into your own hands. It's that simple.
Some people in this world deserve a punishment far worse than death. But death is the most I can give them. And death is a punishment I am prepared to give. Every time.
That day, fifteen years ago... It changed my life's direction. Gave me a mission. I devoted myself to ridding the world of the filth who found ways around the law.
I would go on to kill... dozens. Maybe even hundreds. By now, I've lost count.
But here I am, ranting...
My name is Anima Haven. And with my own hands, I will create a perfect world. A world where only kind, well-intentioned people have any place.
I accept that after everything that's happened, I can't put myself in that category. The world I will create... it won't be for me. It will be for them. For everyone.
What I want is unending peace, unending happiness. And there's nothing I won't do to make my dream into reality.

.........Get it?
