Late!Past, in Ilex

Roc senses something amiss and tells Shahinne to stand still. The two birds look down to see a Time Bubble opening near the shrine, and a certain [Celebi] slowly emerging from  inside it.

Shahinne: <...Eeeep!> -- hides behind Roc's talons.

The Celebi emerges, holding what appears to be a small seed in one of her paws, and yawns, then approaches the shrine and notices a nontrivial amount of small dents all over it.

Roc: <...> -- [curses internally]

Past!Past, near Olivine

The Swellow would look to be amused at Breeze's gesture, if he weren't a Shadow mon at the moment and thus unable to feel any level of amusement at the move. Instead he just picks some speed to rush past the Chimecho while letting out a Ominous Wind...

…and then he just falls asleep for no raisin because of the Yawn and crashes down on the airstrip.

Maekrite, meanwhile, is knocked back by the Dragon Pulse but quickly gets up, starts roaring. He looks around him looking for ways to unleash his anger…

…And Ardos seems to catch on to that. He gives Maekrite some instructions over the comm device and then Maekrite snorts, goes pick the fallen Swellow off the ground and with enough force to break his wing hurls it at Marmalade, then resumes his charge against Salamence while coating his tail and flanks in Steel-type energy.

The Electivire, meanwhile, did not even manage to get off the ground before being hit again and falls unconscious, his body letting of some sparks in random directions.

Late!Past, in Goldenrod

Sol follows the trail of psychic communication and finally locates a certain Mew.

Sol -telepathically: «Uhm... a-anybody» -- looks a bit confused -- «I could check around, I guess...»

-And she broadcasts a ping to subconsciousness nearby to find information about the certain Mew. Which after a somewhat tense minute produces an [echo] coming from below the Dept. Store.

Olivine Airstrip, past

The pilot of the charter casually mentions that Ever has very good aim, then sets everything in motion for the charter to take off. Some grunts appear from nowhere with the express intention of making sure their boss can get away.

Maekrite's attack is halted by the forming sand trap around him; however now that he is a big, mean Ground-type Pokémon as well this constituted nothing more than an annoyance, that are always good for the already edgy mood of a Shadow Pokémon. Maekrite covers himself and lets out a roar, then fires a Sludge Bomb at Marmalade before taking the combined attacks from Ever's mons.

Ardos commands the Nidoking to move away and target [Salamence], but it takes the Nidoking some time to move with the sand restraining him.

While Ardos observes the developing situation for the last moments, some of the grunts head towards Ever to try and intercept, they release a couple of canine mons in front of him.

But as that happens, a bird-like figure can be barely seen approaching by air from the general direction of Olivine.

Olivine Airstrip, past

Because canines have very good hearing they SUFFER under the INSTA-DEAF that would make Pokéteco proud (yes, we remember him). Most of them can do nothing against the Silver Wind, and only a couple of them that know Fire-type moves manage to shield themselves a bit and then retaiiate with the aforementioned Fire-type attacks, mostly Flamethrowers, aimed at Breeze.

Maekrite is meanwhile busy being pinned to the ground, not to mention being in pain from the attacks received, in particular the psychic ones. Seeing this and hearing police sirens approaching from town, Ardos curses and takes a look at his subordinates. A quick evaluation of an incoming defeat and then he turns to the pilot and tells him to take off.

Ardos -to Ever: "If you're willing to fight so much so that I can't use this weapon, then fine, enjoy its power."

Then he mutters some words to Maekrite via the comm device.

Lash. out. on. everything

Then he turns around, takes out his comm device and crushes it. As a strong dark aura starts forming around Maekrite, Ardos merely enters the charter and goes to his seat as the charter starts slowly moving across the airstrip.

Goldenrod Dept. Store Basement

-Mew blipifies herself- and, coincidentally, Sol- into the basement-

Mew: Oh hai

Mew: I remember helping you... how did that work out?

Burglar: You made me completely undetectable! To EVERYBODY! My family thinks I'm dead!

Mew: ...dangit. I should have seen that coming... want me to undo it?

Burglar: YES!

-Mew does her voodna thing-

Burglar: I- I can be seen again! I'm going to go home and hug my family! Then turn myself into the police! There should be a law against the amount of crimes I've gotten away with!

-he runs off-

-Mew sees Sol-

Mew: Whoops! Need a lift home?

Olivine Airstrip, past

-Salamence swerves aside from the rock, giggling- <See, Marmalade? Nothing's set in stone~>

Marmalade: <Cotton-brain, what did you do?>

Ever: That was amazing...Diesel! Breeze! Attack, and put in everything you've got! Salamence, Marmalade, get ready to follow up!

-Diesel leaps forward, while Breeze's eyes flash. The Chimecho launches a Hyper Beam as the Kricketune's blades ignite into Giga Impact, the force of Breeze's attack propelling Diesel forward with incredible speed to increase the force of the Giga Impact against Maekrite-

-Salamence, for her part, begins charging a Sky Attack, while Marmalade Digs underground, using her wings to carve the dirt away-

Olivine Airstrip, past

-Diesel crashes straight through the barrier and smashes into Maekrite, while Salamence dives forward, cloaked in a phoenixian aura-

-for Marmalade's part, there is a muffled yelp from underground, and then silence-

Olivine Airstrip, past

-Salamence is snatched from the air- <Eeep!> -and begins Cotton Guarding-

-Diesel attempts a Silver Wind on Maekrite's back, while Breeze disappears underground to help Marmalade-

PEFE Goldenrod, some time ago

Silent is near-asleep by the table while Maekrite sulks mentally. Sol sighs and turns to Mew.

Sol: «I could tele-explain but it's pretty sad. That Pokémon... he was our friend. Then Cipher got a hold of him and now he's like that.»

-she prompts Mew to move in closer with her-

Even earlier, near Olivine

Maekrite begins exerting pressure on the cotton to try and reach Salamence's hide to tear it; however he is distracted from it momentarily by Diesel's attack, that causes him a lot of pain and brings him down to the ground, though he does not fully release his grip on Salamence.

Instead he chooses to drag himself and Salamence away from Diesel's attack and then grab one of the boulders that were left scattered around by the earlier Earthquake. He then summons the last bits of his strength and hurls the boulder high into the air. With a roar he then proceeds to pin Salamence on the ground and leap after the boulder to bring it down on Salamence, hard.

Olivine Airstrip, Past

High above, the bird-like figure of a Staraptor is watching the scene unfold, wings slightly folded, ready to dive.

A very tired and battered Maekrite drags himself to Salamence's body sprawled on the ground. He is panting heavily and doesn't notice Ever, or his own bleeding from his chest and face. He then grabs Salamence and lifts her with one of his arms, intending to strangle or smash her… but as he listens to his chirps he can not bring himself to do it.

He just stares dazedly at the broken bird, as if trying to figure something, anything out... and as he fails to, he grumbles and gets ready to take his frustration on Salamence. Roc observes ready to strike.

Olivine Airstrip, past

-Ever sprints towards Maekrite-

Ever: This is over, Maekrite! I'm going to get you back home!

-and flings an Ultra Ball at the Nidoking-

Olivine Airstrip, past

-Ever immediately recalls Salamence, and turns to Roc-

Ever: Hi, Roc. No, I was definitely planning on letting Maekrite murder her.
