- Everyone moves deeper in-
-Ahead of us appears to be a large humanoid statue-
Helios: <That's kind of a weird thing to have for them.>
Draca: <Well let's get this over with shall we?>
-And uses Flamethrower on the statue...which turns out to be a giant mecha-
Well that's wonderful.
Maggie: "Scouter, try using Low Kick!"
Scouter: <Of course!>
-Scouter tries tripping the mecha-
Dintel -listening to Helios: <Perhaps it has more things inside...>
"Yeah, why would a civilization of back in the times when humans were basically chi-"
-And the statue is revealed to be a mecha (gee, who didn't see THAT coming)-
Sol: <...A boss battle!> -- staggers as the creature moves.
"Awww f-..." -- cuts himself short, goes for cover. -- "Sol I think this is good time for you to make yourself useful."
Sol glares at Silent but moves ahead and projects a [Barrier] on Helios, Scouter, Draca and herself.
Umbra: That's almost as big as my one Rotom mecha. ._.
Lina: Hammer Arm! Focus Blast!
Chrome: <Oh great, a Centurion.>
- Both Chrome and Xavier fire attacks-
Mecha: -Takes the attacks, stumbling due to Scouter's Low Kick, and then lets out a large amount of scalding steam at us, while trying to squish Scouter with its built-in hammer-
Sol: <....> O_O
Dintel: <....> o.o
...Both Pokémon flee at the scalding steam, Sol yelling nervously.
-Observing as the steam spreads around-
"I hope the Barriers help block some of that..."
-turns to Tagg and Umbra-
"Guys your mons can fly... let's get that thing's attention off us please?"
-Scouter is able to avoid the hammer via Detect and, as such, is not squished-
Sweetie: <Hmph! I can fly too! I shall distract it!>
-Sweetie starts flitting around to try and distact the Centurion, getting in a Bug Buzz if he can-
Maggie: "Right... Slliuq, Chum, see if you can do something to it!"
-Slliuq and Chum try getting closer to the Centurion, the former attempting to hit it with a Brine, the latter with an Aqua Jet-
-As Ana and Bohr use Safeguard to block against the steam, and the Aqua Jet and Brine connect, doing minor damage-
Interesting, the armor's non-flame retardant.
Guys, try using Fire type moves!
Draca: <YOL TOR SHUL!>
Bohr: -Uses Flamethrower-
Chrome: -to Silent- <Done.>
-puts on his armband-
Hey! I'm a squishy human! I don't belong here! Hit me!
-Xavier keeps Focus Blasting-
Maggie: "Well, that changes things. Kinda wish I had a Fire-type."
Foudre: <Awesome, I'm fighting now!>
-Slliuq, Scouter, and Chum head back after hearing their attacks might not be quite as effective-
-Sweetie is still flitting around-
Maggie: "Kernel, could you use Sunny Day?"
Kernel: <Right.>
-Kernel causes a bright light to stream in, though is damaged slightly due to Solar Power-
-Foudre then charges at the Centurion with a Fire Fang-
Silent looks at Chrome.
"...Not exactly what I meant, but if it works..."
-notices the sunlight, turns to Dintel-
"Okay, Dintel, you're coming back. Ichtacya, you know what to do!"
With that Silent the Sandshrew and sends [Ichtacya] out.
Ichtacya -looks at the Centurion: <...I though you had me recalled for my [safety]!>
"Complain later. Solarbeam that thing! And Sol, keep Foudre covered!"
Ichtacya swiftly synthesizes some energy and fires a Solarbeam at the Centurion.
Sol meanwhile rushes after Foudre, waiting for her Fire Fang to complete before firing a Confusion attack.
Centurion: -Starts sparking from the numerous attacks-
Alright, let's finish it off!
-Foudre uses Fire Fang on the Centurion-
-Kernel, not particularly wanting to waste a Solar Power, uses SolarBeam on it as well-
- Xavier Focus Blasts again. Chrome takes off his armband and Meteor Mashes-
Centurion: -Collapses as its chest explodes-
Glad that's over.
Maggie: "Yeah."
"So... should we continue?"
Kernel: <You have a certain Sunflora you might want to get out of the sun!>
Maggie: "...Right."
-She recalls Kernel-
Ichtacya -looks around shiftly: <...Can I be recalled now, please?>
"...Fine. But I am sending you out again as soon as we reach somewhere interesting."
-And recalls the Leafeon as she waves a oh bye to Maggie's mons-
-to Tagg-
"Hmmmm.... don't jinx us. We better get something good out of this."
-Sol meanwhile looks around-
Sol: <...Where are the Experience orbs? Or the victory fanfarre? Perhaps this is a [fake boss battle]!>
-Digs through the scrap and pockets a Centurion Dynamo Core-
I think this'll make a great souvenir.
Muddy: -Watches the elevator descend- <I guess that's our ride out of here.>
Umbra: -blinks- They had elevators?
Xavier: <Yep.>
Maggie: "Wait, it's over already?"
-Kernel pops out of her ball-
Kernel: <Wait, it's finally over?>
-to Xavier, with a hint of snark-
"Didn't your urbanists at the time suggest that deadly robot guards would be, kinda, counter-productive to tourism?"
Sol -idly to Tagg: <...Or we could have walked back to the entrance...>
Silent grabs his back and goes pick Dintel up, the Sandshrew takes the atop-head position and waves to Tagg and Muddy, idly commenting on the jar he had found before.
-sees the elevator coming-
"Well this has been a fair adventure. Kinda like back in the old times... when the things trying to kill us were more... normal."
True that Silent.
-Hops on the elevator presumably with everyone else-
And up we go. Pull the lever Kronk Bohr!
Bohr: -Pulls it-
-We ascend-
-We end up at an exit overlooking the ruins we entered-
Let's head back to the city, I think I've had my fill of adventure for one day.
