Hive Mines

<Tracer(?): "Wait... So how do we get to this 'Flipside' once we hit the surface anyways?">

<Patrolling!Scyther #2: "Oh, that shaft will take you straight there, more or less. It stops through Flopside first, though.">

<Tracer(?): "Wait a minute... Flipside and Flopside?">

<Teala(?): "Someone here obviously liked games...">

<Dahak: "What IS it, though?">

<Captain!Scyther: "Flopside's a factory town that makes gummis.">

<Patrolling!Scyther #1: "Yeah, and if your friend DID head for Flipside, he'd have to have passed through there.">

<Patrolling!Scyther #2: "You know, just a sanity check to make sure he didn't beeline for the beach at Klein Cove or something.">

<Teala(?): "... 'Klein Cove'? Just how many places ''are'' there on the surface?"> ._.

<Captain!Scyther: "Quite a few. If you don't have any idea of where you're headed, it could take you a long time to find someone here.">

<Tracer(?): "... We'll keep that in mind... Erm... So we're free now?">

<Captain!Scyther: "... I suppose that we could let you go... But why are you looking for this Pidgey anyways?">

<Tracer(?): "It's a bit of an errand that we got asked to do.">

<Captain!Scyther: "Fair enough. You should be able to find the bridge easily enough. Just keep going in the direction of the blue light. It should be near the outskirts.">

<Tracer(?): "Thanks...">

<Dreyer: "Uh... Yep!"> ^_^; ^_^;

<Tracer(?): "Yeah, as you can see. The weapons were kinda bulky... So... We didn't really get to take any with us!"> ^_^;

<Savarin: "Huh... Guess it wouldn't be the only weird thing lurkin' around in this world...">

<Elh: "... Tell me about it. And can we get to a town that ISN'T overrun by monsters already? Thanks.">

-To Gelato-

<J!Unown: "This one says that was a nice save... If fairly reckless.">

<Gelato: "It's not THAT well known of a TV show, is it?"> :?

Re: An Other Story: Tracerquest

Route 4 Desert

-a group of primarily Trapinch, with a few Bagon, Druddigon, and Deino, play with each other in the courtyard of a camp of tents on the outskirts of town. A Flygon observes them-

Raudona: < Children, you can't be THAT tired at this time of day! Play a little harder- oh? >

-a more familiar Flygon streaks down from the sky-

Rojos: < MOM! >

Raudona: < ROJOS! My baby! >

-the two Flygon glomp each other-

Raudona: < You got to Hoenn all right? Or... >

-she looks at him carefully-

< I hope things weren't too bad there... >

Rojos: < Oh, no! I mean, it was kinda scary at first... then I made friends with this Vanillish, and things got REALLY scary, but then I got used to it, and we became ninjas, and we might have saved the world. ...Or broken it, we had a hard time deciding. But then things got a lot more peaceful! >

Raudona: < So... why did you leave for home again? I thought you'd have found a place to settle down for a better life than here? >

Rojos: < Well... I guess I did find this nice place called Aisle Town, in a desert kinda like this one... but I got a taste of adventure, and liked it enough to keep going for a while. >

Raudona: < Oh, same as always. Still watching the creche. The Feignbright children are all grown up now! And- >

???: < Knock, knock~ >

Raudona: < ...ugh, they are as bad as ever. >

- a Dewott enters the complex -

Rojos: < Lyn?! >

Lyn: < Oh hey, looks like the washout has come back home. Guess what? Tax day~ >

Raudona: < I already paid your "taxes" for the month, Lyn. >

Lyn: < Surprise Double Tax Month! Besides, he hasn't~. Let's see what's in that bag of yours, eh? >

Rojos: < I read up on the tax code. If anything, I'm owed a refund. >

Lyn: < Oh, is somebody getting uppity? You need a reminder of who has the badge here? >

- Rojos quickly removes an odd-looking staff from his bag -

Rojos: < Um, we really don't have to fight... >

Lyn: < Ooh, yes, give me that and you should be paid up for the week. >

- Rojos suddenly hits Lyn with the staff, consuming the Dewott in a bright light -

Rojos: < ...but if you insist... >

- the light grows significantly in size, revealing the form of a Samurrott -

Raudona: ._.

Lyn: < WHA?! WHAT THE HECK DID YOU DO TO ME- >

Rojos: dangit Wabbajack

Lyn: < ... you realize I could crush you all the more easily now, right? >

- Rojos straightens up and folds his arms -

Rojos: < Hey, you wanted a fight. Can't blame me for wanting to make things more fair for you after everything else I learned in Hoenn, right? >

Lyn: -sweating- < Um... er... You know, I'm good, I'm good, see you... er... next year! >

Re: An Other Story: Tracerquest

Hive Mines - The Landing to A Rusty Service Elevator

-A certain party has gathered at the station for a certain elevator heading for the surface...-

<Nimbus: "Eh? They have the slickest bridges over and these janky things for actually getting up there?">

-Who are a little less than impressed with that discovery-

<Gelato: "... Er... Is that thing even going to be able to take us all? I'm not sure if I can even spot a safety mechanism on that for if the cable snapped."> ._.

<Tracer(?): "... We'll try to get as many mons as we can up there by normal flight... But... We're going to have to take SOME-">

<Natrix: "Tracer, I am NOT serving as a boa for blubberbutt here! Whoever you send with them had better be able to ride on their own!"> >:|

<Savarin: "I'll take his spot! I'm great at ridin' things!">

-Which causes the Dragonite in question to shy back uneasily at the proposition-

<Nimbus: "No! Er... Uh... Maybe Dahak could take you? Please tell me you will, Da-"> ._.;

<Dahak: "I'll take him...">

<Gelato: "You should tag along, Elh!"> ^_^

<Elh: "Eh?! Why on earth would I-?!">

<Gelato: "You're the client, right? It couldn't hurt to talk to the mon you hired, could it?"> ^_^

<Savarin: "Remind me, do those million rings cover these side quests we've been gettin' into? I forget..."> |?

<: "... Eh... Fine.">

-And acquiesces reluctantly and heads off with the Deino to clamber onto the Golurk-

<Simo: "I suppose that I will tag along with Nimbus. Gelato would probably be easy to squeeze along.">

<Gelato: "Heh, well, your shoulders ARE comfy and sturdy..."> ^_^

<: "We'll see you at the top then...">

-And gets onto the elevator along with a certain Druddigon, an ice cream cone, and a pair of snakes, along with the less flight and riding-worthy mons from the accompanying groups-

<Natrix: "Oh great, I have to be stuck here with you!"> >:|

-Which prompts the Seviper to leer, and give a vaguely threatening gesture with its bladed tail-

<Maurice: "Watch your face, new meat. I don't know HOW you know my friend, but you're hissing down the wrong hole here-!"> >:(

-And is cut off by a Leaf Blade being levied up against his neck-

<Natrix:  "I'm sorry, did you just insinuate that I should take orders from you? I've been around longer than anyone else on this team!"> >:(

-And leads the Seviper to perhaps reason that being confrontational on his own isn't the best course of action-

<Maurice: "But that's- And- Gah! I'M not supposed to get held up like-!"> O_O;

-And calls out to a familiar-looking face-

<Maurice: "H-Hey! A little help? Get this jerk off my case!">

<Teala(?): *sigh* "Natrix... I think you've proven your point... Can't you just be a bit more... Well... Leader-like?"> -_-;

<Natrix:  "Hey, my job's to keep this team together and SAFE! Dragging random bandits along for the ride isn't helping that!"> >:(

-And slithers off to the other end of the elevator car, as a certain Vanilluxe turns from the scene-

<Dreyer: "Erm... They seem like they have a bit of a rivalry... ._.; ._.;

But... We just need to turn it into a friendly one, huh?"> ^_^ ^_^

-Though its hunchbacked, and definitely not 5-foot-tall blue and red companion is busy looking off into the changing space in the background-

<Tracer(?): "Hrm..."

<Dreyer: "Eh? What's wrong?">

<Tracer(?): "Oh... I was just thinking, Dreyer...

Those Scyther said that the humans of this world were turned into Pokemon... And by dragons... But... How?">

<Dreyer: "... I don't know... Maybe the same way that Plasma brought up that castle out of the ground?

... I think it's kinda concerning that no one was there to stop this, though...

... Was there supposed to be someone like us, there?">

-Someone like... Us?

... Is it possible this place's history really have been shaped by a small group like that? And... Did they simply not show up when they were needed?

... Could we also be doing something like that, too?

... No. That's insane. We weren't the only trainers out there to run into those caped morons and stand up against them... We were just the ones "lucky" enough to take them on in the endgame. If we weren't there...

Someone else would come... It's not as if we're the only one who can solve a region's problems... Right?-

<Tracer(?): "... Mrph. I don't think it's a fair comparison. This place had tons of issues well before we even stumbled on it that our home didn't.">

<Dreyer: "... If you say so...

Oh. Do you think that this 'Flopside' that we're gonna stop by will know anything about who built this place?

Wonder if they've got anywhere that's nice and chilled to just below the freezing point~"> ^_^ ^_^

<Tracer(?): "... Ah... I guess it's worth a shot...

Just... Don't spend too long in there. I think we'd make Elh mad if we didn't find that Pidgey and get back to work."> ^_^;

-And the elevator continues climbing, the wide open spaces below vanishing as the car continues its climb towards Flopside-

Flopside - PMD-B

-A certain party is going around, asking different local mons about a bit of a delayed matter-

<Worker!Floatzel: "Eh? Pidgey, huh?">

<Foreman!Marowak: "Oh? You talking about that new guy that moved in a couple weeks ago? Yeah. He comes by here from Flipside all the time!">

<Tracer(?): "I see... Thanks.">

<Savarin: "Aw, come on, goin' a little slow can't be that bad, can it?">

<Elh: "Care to explain to me how this could possibly be any WORSE?"> :|

Abundant Shrine-B

-A certain group of mons is standing before a small wooden structure-

<(Ex-)Spy!Bayleef: "Uhm... How are we supposed to polish that?"> ._.;

<(Ex-)Assassin!Rampardos: "Just when I thought I couldn't get any lower, here I am... Doing serfs' work!"> >.<

<(Ex-)Assassin!Garchomp: "... Whatever, just find something, rub it, and make it shine a bit.">

-And the group starts to approach the structure... As a small jolt of electricity strikes the Rampardos-

<(Ex-)Assassin!Rampardos: "YEOW!">

-And whirls around... And finds nothing-

<(Ex-)Spy!Druddigon: "Oh what now? Step on a burr or something?">

<(Ex-)Assassin!Rampardos: "Someone shocked me!">

-A gust of wind beats at the Bayleef, who is promptly sent sprawling by the wind-

<(Ex-)Spy!Bayleef: "O-Ow! H-HEY! Whoever's doing that, stop! We're trying to do work here!">

-Suddenly, a thunderbolt strikes right behind the five-

<All Minus the Garchomp: "AUGH!">

<(Ex-)Assassin!Tropius: "Take cover!">

<(Ex-)Assassin!Garchomp: "Oh come on, you pansies. It's probably just some of the local kids being ob-">

-A much bigger gust of wind bowls them all over... The land shark in particular gets blown into a tree-

<(Ex-)Assassin!Garchomp: "O-Ow..."> @_@

<(Ex-)Assassin!Rampardos: "Run for it!">

-And the five hastily desert their positions... Leaving a small wooden structure very much unpolished, and likely now with some added wind and damage from stray electric bolts as two troll genies brofist-

<Tornadus: Woo! They never saw it coming!>

<Thundurus: It's times like these I wish we still had microwaveable popcorn!>

Back at Flopside

Raudona: < I would love that, but you know how roots go deep. I'd have to take the rest of the town with me, and we couldn't afford that for everybody. >

Sam: -To Tagg & Crow- <Now, you guys are new, so make sure you listen to me to learn how to be a good detective!>

Crowgepi: <Of course!>

Turtwig!Tagg: <Okay...>

Sam: <And that starts with getting hired! If people don't hire you, they usually don't pay you. Those movies where the sleuth stumbles onto a juicy case kinda lie to you there. :(>

Misdreavus!Every: <Yeah, and sometimes they get annoyed if you take a case without them knowing. It's a sad state of affairs.>

Crowgepi: <How horrible!>

Celebi: <Of course, you can certainly help people without payment!>

Sam: -Quickly nodding- <Yes- of course! Just... you can't really buy food,magnifying glasses, or fingerprint dust without money.>

Misdreavus!Every: <I can! But it might have been a fever dream.>

Gogie: <Uh, yeah, let's do that.>

International Courier Wanted

Crowgepi: <Ooh, what's that one?>

Roxy: <Ooh, look at the destination!>

Misdreavus!Every: <Seems sufficently compensated...>

Looking for a team of hunters to relay sensitive communique to PEFE Island on behalf of Emperor of the Ancients. Diplomatic skills a must, reward will be provided on site of delivery.

Meet in front of Imperial Embassy for further details.

Antiquus ( Aerodactyl )

Rank: 5
Reward: Schrodinger's large about of Rings

Sam: <OOH!>

Crowgepi: <Emperor of the Ancients?>

Tangent: <Protip, if you can get paid for going on vacation, take the job!>

Blenda: <Well, SOME of us are diplomatic...>

Cuyahoga: <Charizard can be very diplomatic.>

Blenda: -Rolls her eyes, freezing at the sight of a spot of light reflected by a windchime-

Tangent: <Hmm, I guess the Ancients have an Emperor? But why would they need us, hmm...>

Empire of the Ancients Embassy

-We all file in-

Tangent: <Hmm... this place rings a bell...>

Antiquus: <"Ah yes... You were the group that was watching after the musician on tour... Well, I most certainly can't begrudge a group with the chivalry to look after a young lass, what brings you back here?">

Sam: <You had a job for going to PEFE Island?>

Antiquus: <"Ah... Yes, I did indeed... I guess I should have expected that a group with more nomadic tendencies such as yours would be interested.">

Turtwig!Tagg: <Alright, let's hear it.>

Antiquus: <"I need a message forwarded on behalf of his majesty to an island that the Empire has had a bit of an...

Ahem...

Tense relationship with.">

Crowgepi: <Tense? How?>

Blenda: <They probably invaded it.>

Antiquus: <"... We prefer 'explored'. Though to be fair on his highness, it wasn't his order to become entangled in that ferals' den, he inherited that mess from his predecessor.">

Roland: <So where are we going exactly?>

Celebi: <Now THAT'S an old excuse.>

Antiquus: <"There is a party of explorers from our nation that has managed to get stranded on the aforementioned island... I'm not FULLY certain what manner of politics went behind it, but I believe they were FORCED to return after displeasing the former Emperor.

They are apparently alive, though the current Emperor has found communication to be rather vexing, and trying on his sleep. He was hoping to establish more formal communication with the natives and to attempt to retrieve what is our realm's.">

Cuyahoga: <Charizard should be informed as to the dangers faced in such a mission.>

Turtwig!Tagg: <So we're basically playing ambassador, is that correct?>

Antiquus: <"Effectively, yes. Though if you're prudent, you will not play up your ties.

That is the reason for his Highness seeking aid from such faraway lands.">

Tangent: <That sounds manageable. And the message?>

Antiquus: <"It's right here.">

-And passes over a letter with a seal with lance-toting Liepard-

Antiquus: <"You ARE aware of the transport arrangement that this mission will require, yes?">

Misdreavus!Every: <Ooh! Do we get a Hydreigon to fly on?>

Roxy: -Closes her eyes for a second- <...Giratina?>

Turtwig!Tagg: <A Wailord?>

Antiquus: <"... :|

It's a little less romantic than that.

Your transport will be whatever you come up with. For obvious reasons, the empire cannot make its affiliation with you evident to ensure the success of this mission.">

Misdreavus!Every: <....Are you sure you can't lend us a Hydreigon?>

Turtwig!Tagg: <I don't think we could all fit on one of those.>

Cuyahoga: <...this crowd is going to be tricky to find space for...>

Tangent: <Relax. We're no worse off than we were when we were looking to go to the island for pleasure.>

Antiquus: <"So... I take it that you accept?">

Turtwig!Tagg: <Yeah.>

Tangent: <Yes.>

Antiquus: <"Good luck, then.">

-And hands over a letter-

<"As for travel... You have a number of options, but the port that would most likely be easiest for you to reach from here would be Seaside Wonder... No border checkpoints and the like.">

Blenda: <Fortunately, that was already the plan.>

Guardian: <Yes, it generally behooves us to travel quietly.>

Antiquus: <"Mmph... Good luck then.

And... Perhaps one of the more lovely members of your party would feel up to conversing over tea and gummis should you return? After all, I'm easily swayed by feminine wiles~">

Cuyahoga: -Blushing- <Charizard do like tea...>

Guardian: <Do you know what Cofagrigus like? Accomplishing things. They are very fond of this.>

Crowgepi: <Ooh, I could join you for tea too!>

Roxy: <Psst, he's no good for you anyways, he'd dump you for the ambassador from Dragonspiral after 5 months, 3 days and 42 minutes.>

Sakura: -Nervously- <Um well, I don't know...>

Antiquus: <"Um... Well, I must say that is a rather... Erm... Impressive showing... Though that Togepi is somewhat concerning... But...

Perhaps I should let you all get to your work?"> ^_^;

Turtwig!Tagg: <Yeah, we need to figure out how we're getting to the island.>

Antiquus: <"Well... I wish you the best of luck...

Take care!">

-And begins to head off, before calling out-

<"Oh, and Jasmine or Viridian Green for your return?">

Turtwig!Tagg: -Wistfully- <The latter would remind me a bit of home...>

Celebi: <Jasmine~!>

Sam: <Hey, we got the mission, you don't need to talk to him anymore >_> >
