Silent: "Okay." -- gives Maggie more.
Algira uses her patterns to call to the group from the other side of the chasm.
-Suddenly a bolt is shot out of nowhere and manages to pierce through my hoodie, pinning me to the wall-
This is just not my day is it!
Ana: <Wow! More science!>
-Algira buzzes and tries to flutter back across the bridge, but Silent motions her not to; she obeys and instead flies higher to try and avoid attacks aimed at her-
"Algira, stay there! Whatever is attacking us..." -- goes to Tagg, looking for something in his bag to help -- "Can you move?"
-Struggling to pull out the bolt-
Doesn't look like it Silent, it's buried thick into the wall!
Bohr: -Starts trying to teleknetically pull out the bolt- <Hmm, seems like there's umbrate coated on the bolt. That'll be trouble, it'll be tougher for me to move.>
-The culprit is revealed to be a quadrupedal automaton, slowly reloading another bolt, as two more automatons roll in before revealing themselves to be robotic Alakazam with a crossbow on one arm, and a sharpened spoon in the other-
Muddy: <Oh boy, more trouble.>
Draca: -Flying above the combatants- <Hey, at least I have more space now.>
Lina: Xavier! Thunder Wave! Chrome, Meteor Mash!
-They do so-
Maggie: "Umbrate? Hm..."
-Chum bites his blade with an Ice Fang, then charges at one of the automatons-
-Sweetie tries using Bug Buzz on the other-
Silent notices the quadrupedal automaton, turns to Algira. "Quadrupedal then, Algira, on it! Water Pulse!"
Algira flutters and charges a sphere of water larger than she is to launch it at the quadrupedal bot. Silent meanwhile evaluates the bridge scene mentally.
"Lina, Maggie, we are sitting Psyduck here. Let's have Chrome, Sweetie and Algira spread around to throw those bots's aim off us while we help Tagg and get outta here."
Alakagross Ballista: -Stumbles slightly from Algira's Water Pulse before firing another bolt-
Alakagross Sphere #1: -Gets scrapped by Xavier, Chrome, and Chum-
Alakagross Sphere #2: -Goes into ball form to dodge Sweetie's Bug Buzz before trying to bisect him with its spoon blade-
Helios: -Looking ahead- <More of them!>
-Indeed, more Spheres start showing up-
Well this is just wonderful.
-Sweetie manages to fly out of the way of the spoon blade, then notices more of the incoming Spheres-
Sweetie: <The hive shall prevail!>
-He tries Bug Buzzing the Sphere again-
-Chum goes over to try and help Sweetie, slashing at the second sphere with his chilled sword-
Maggie: "Oh dear... Maybe we should use your strategy, Silent."
"Can you try distracting them, Scouter?"
Scouter: <Certainly!>
-Scouter tries flashing his patterns in the way he would use Confuse Ray, though hoping to serve more as a distraction than confusing the spheres-
Silent sees more Spheres approaching, curses under his breath, while Algira manages to avoid the Ballista's bolt by the figurative nose and change.
"Bad time I chose to let Sol go out and play." -- produces a 'ball. "Okay, Dintel! Take care of that– that whatever-it-is!" -- points to the Ballista.
And sends Dintel's Poké Ball rolling across the bridge, the ball opens revealing the Sandshrew wo goes swipe and punch at the Ballista.
"Algira, inflict what you can on those sphere things but keep them [outta] here!" -- and goes try to help Tagg. -- "Okay, let's see, Umbrate material... Quick! Anyone has a mon with a [Fighting] or [Dark]-type move available?"
Algira flies just a short distance ahead of Scouter and rains Silver Wind over the Spheres to try and call their attention away from Tagg and the others.
Maggie: "Let's see..."
"Scouter knows Low Kick, Bite and Crunch and Chum knows quite a few Dark-type moves but he's kind of busy..."
"None of SleepyHead's Dark-type moves do damage..."
"Oh, Slliuq knows Revenge!"
Foudre: <Hey, I know Bite!>
Silent notices Foudre.
"You're a kittyyyyyy!!!!!:3 Oooh… Bite, good idea! Here, come kitty:3" -- leads Foudre to the bolt -- "Can you try to remove it?"
Foudre: <Yeah!>
-Foudre tries Biting the bolt to remove it-
-The Spheres get distracted by the Silver Wind and try shooting Algira with their bolts-
-The bolt doesn't budge, probably because it's buried deep in the rock wall behind me-
Muddy: <Somehow I don't think that's going to work.>
Draca: -Fires Dragon Pulses at any emergence pipes-
Helios: -Tries blowing the Spheres into the chasm with Hurricane- <Hey, you leave Algira alone!>
Silent frowns and turns to Draca.
"…I don't guess you'd want to try a bite? Okay," -- thinks for a moment -- "that's not working. Plan B… Maggie? Give this to Foudre!" -- and hands over a X–Attack.
Algira buzzes nervously, and manages to knock two bolts out of their path with a Signal Beam, but can't evade the others and screeches helplessly.
(off for noms)
Maggie: "Right."
-She gives Foudre the X-Attack, then Foudre tries pulling more-
"If this doesn't work, can you remove your shirt or something, Tagg?"
-Scouter leaps into the air, then uses Detect to figure out how to best dodge the bolts, then grabs Algira and manages to help the two of them avoid most of the bolts-
-Both of them then retreat closer to the attacking group-
I can certainly try Maggie.
Muddy: -Grabs onto Foudre for more leverage-
-Meanwhile, the Spheres sway like reeds in order to avoid getting blown away-
Draca: <Helios, try blowing it below them!>
Helios: <Right!>
-And starts focusing his Hurricane at the bridge itself, blowing the Spheres into the chasm-
Ana: -Tosses a Focus Blast at the Ballista while it's still reloading-
Algira: <-eeeeeeeeee~> -- is pulled and saved by Scouter.
"Dintel, shove that thing, don't let it bother Ana!" -- points to the Ballista.
Dintel gestures a 'ok' then goes clamp one of the Ballista's legs. He then uses his [Strength] to lift the Ballista, screwing with its aim, and toss it at a nearby wall.
Algira -smooches Scouter: <Thank you~>
She flutters towards Helios, still a bit scared.
Alakagross Ballista: -Gets scrapped by the combined efforts of Ana and Dintel-
Helios: -Cuddling Algira- <Are you okay?>
-Meanwhile the tugging manages to pull out the bolt...along with my clothes-
Well that's annoying.
Dintel meanwhile has his interest piqued by a noise coming from inside the scrapped Ballista. He tries to reach inside with his claws...
-To Ana-
Dintel: <Oh, look what I found!>
Dintel ITEM GETs
a [Jar of Oil]!▾
Ana: -Slightly disappointed- <Just oil Dintel?>
-Meanwhile, some cracks start appearing on the bridge-
Dintel tilts head at Ana.
Silent turns to Dintel. "Uhm... we could use some knowing more about what these things are. Would you mind scavenging for more stuff?"
Dintel blinks then gives the jar of oil to Ana before trying to fig his way into the machine.
Algira flutters around Helios beaming welcoming patterns, not noticing the cracks on the bridge.
Algira: <Eeeeeee~ I haven't seen you for [long]! How have you been~ :3>
-to Tagg-
"Hmmm... hope you're not feeling ill with all this. Want a M&M?" -- and offers the bag not noticing there's only [one] left.
Helios: <Fine Algira.>
Oh sure Silent, I love M&Ms.
-Takes and eats the [last one]-
-Maggie and team continue on, Maggie feeling strangely more hungry for M&Ms now despite how many she ate earlier-
I'm actually surprised that you haven't tried to ogle me...
-The bridge at that moment cracks to critical levels underneath our feet-
