Topic: Touhoumon Nuzlocke - We Are All Little Girls

http://i.imgur.com/bCc4OXZ.png

Inspired by Dune's X-Com thread, I decided to do this as a bit of a side thing =P

So, anyway here are the rules I'll be going for:

1- Fainting means Death, not using that puppet again
2- Catch only the first thing I see in each area.
2.1 - If it's a puppet I already caught before, I catch the first different thing that appears for the sake of variety.
3- No items!
4- All puppets will be named after WAAPT characters.
5 - I'm playing in Set mode

By the way, this game has different types and a different type chart, so here it is:

http://i.imgur.com/JUcghu6.png

So, let's get things started:

Episode 1: The Eternally Boring Beginning

http://i.imgur.com/8KtQN2q.png

The only relevant thing in the start speech.

http://i.imgur.com/NPjZVjw.png http://i.imgur.com/l96GjCD.png

Our heroines ladies and gentleman! The first one is Renko Usami and the second one is Maribel Hearn, they're the only real normal humans in the entire series, so it makes sense for them to be the playable characters, which I'll go with you might wonder?

http://i.imgur.com/952jhme.png

I mean, really

http://i.imgur.com/NPjZVjw.png http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fskay_sprite308.png

Renko is Sarah on a dress. And now you know why Eskay has that avvy on the TVT forum =P

(Funny thing is, when I went to ask Eskay for Sarah's sprite, I ended up PMing Verax instead, woops .)

By the way, since the trainer is going to be Sarah, if someone dies, blame Eskay, not me =P

http://i.imgur.com/Pg19YGn.png

More of the usual thing.

http://i.imgur.com/h9lvo4N.png

By the way, overworld sprites are not changed in this game.

http://i.imgur.com/JwPmEDY.png

This pic is relevant because the rival is the only character in the game with significant dialogue differences, so, here's the first conversation:

Huh? Oh... Hey, Sarah! So your move was today.
That's great! Did everything go okay?
... you had to ride in the back of the moving truck...?
Man, that must have been unpleasant... Still though, you're all right, and that's what counts!
Isn't it nice to be out of Kanto? I bet you can't wait to see what this region has to offer instead!
Oh, I forgot! Do you have a puppet yet?
No? Well...
I'd help you get one, but I have to help Birch with his studies in the wild.
Maybe you should go meet him!
See you!

I like the Lampshade Hanging. By the way, the rival isn't Birch's kid in this game, instead she's your friend as it is on the actual Touhou series, any dialogues referencing that have been changed appropriately.

http://i.imgur.com/k1xPirt.png

He's being chased by something that isn't in this game! We must help!

http://i.imgur.com/Lb89KSe.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/OIRCaEa.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/UD3x1Gl.png

Here's our starters, the green haired one is Sanae Kochiya and she's of the Faith type, the blonde is Alice Margatroid and she's of the Reason (aka Psychic) type and the purple haired one is Reisen Udongein Inaba, she's of the Heart type. Who I'll go with?

http://i.imgur.com/Plt5LNH.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/pBkqxXT.png

HEART IS AN AWESOME POWER!

By the way, I'm playing Hard Mode, this means that I can't see what nature my puppet has, and also that I can't use item in-battle, I'm expanding that for outside of battle as well, so Poison is an actual threat in this run more than in any others. Also the game gives you a Macho Brace just so that the Con Mon at the beggining can actually beat you, I don't think you can get EVs in this game at all, this game doesn't mess around =P.

http://i.imgur.com/ETuFxzf.png

This is our Con Mon, CNazrin, a cute mousey~

http://i.imgur.com/TXbpque.png

And she was beaten with little to not effort as you might have expected.

Why not? They're both Butt Monkeys! Though Herbert still has a lot to suffer before he reaches Reisen's level of Butt Monkey-ness.

Now to discuss the Reisen line:

First of all, one mechanic of this game is that most characters have multiple evolutions depending if you have a certain evolutionary stone on them or not, all of them start at C form, which means Chibi, then can go Normal which happens by level, Attack Form, Defense Form, Speed Form, Helper Form, Technical Form and the rarest of them all, Advent Form with the use of evolutionary stones. Knowing this, let's look at Reisen's base stats (HP/Atk/Def/Sp.A/Sp.D/Speed):

CReisen: 60/55/55/80/50/80

Reisen: 80/70/75/125/75/105

AdReisen: 70/70/50/120/90/130

DReisen: 85/75/70/95/135/70

TReisen: 80/70/100/110/80/90

Normal Reisen is quite the Glass Cannon, and considering this is a Nuzlocke, a mistake could easily end up with Herbert dead, however she does have a very good Sp.A and Speed, though it's held back by the line's rather shallow movepool and also only evolving at level 36.

AdReisen is also part Reason type, so that makes her a very good sweeper, though she trades strength for speed and is massively weak to physical moves, so she ends up being even more glassy than Normal Reisen. There's also the unfortunate fact that we only get the stone to evolve CReisen to this form in Mossdeep at earliest, so there's really no way I'm going to be able to get her and most people probably aren't as well.

DReisen is a Sp.D tank with a decent Sp.A and has access to Hypnosis, so she can work well for stalling as long as you don't throw her in front of a physical puppet, though at least it's defense is not as low as AdReisen's but still lower than Normal Reisen.

TReisen is the balanced one and likely the one I'll go for, good offensive and defenses while being reasonably fast as well, a good Jack-Of-All-Stats to have, her only problem is the fact that the entire line has a rather bad movepool when most of the cast has good coverage, the entire line also lacks a boosting move, so that can be a problem, though access to Hypnosis make her able to cripple the opponent easily if you get lucky with Hypnosis's bad accuracy.

Reisen is of the Heart type, but can learn a fair bit of Reason moves as well, which is very good for AdReisen, her typing makes her weak to Faith and Dream (which is the equivalent to the Fighting type here), but resistant to Heart, Reason, Ghost and Dark, so it's a good defensive type which works well with her more glassy properties by giving her a few nice resistances, especially considering that Faith is weak to Reason, which she learns many moves of, so that makes Dream type puppet her main enemy. The Heart type is only strong against Faith and Dark, so it's not very good offensively, which can be kinda bad for a Glass Cannon, however Normal Reisen has a high enough Sp.A that it shouldn't matter much.

Going from the initial stats, it seems that Herbert's nature is Bold, appropriate? =P

And this is where we'll end for now, next time I'm going to battle with Maribel and get a few more catches, here hoping I get a certain puppet...

Now THIS. THIS is what I wanted my XCom LP to be like. With all of these fancy imageries!

Episode 2: Highly Responsive to Analysis

To drive the point further that Reisen learns Reason type moves, the very first move she learns is Reason type. Psyshot is a renamed Confusion.

Hello item that I'll never use.

http://i.imgur.com/cW8Mz4O.png

Hey Maribel.

Let's see... The puppets on Route 103 include...
Oh, hi, Sarah!
... Oh, I see, Birch gave you a puppet as a gift.
Oh, he thinks we should have a quick battle to freshen up?
Hmm... I guess that's not too bad of an idea!

http://i.imgur.com/XkWRMZD.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/yD7zkvh.png

Time to discuss about the second starter of the game, Sanae!

http://images.wikia.com/touhou/de/images/6/64/Sanae_Kochiya.png

CSanae - 65/35/90/55/90/45

Sanae - 90/60/115/80/115/70

Tensoku - 90/110/180/60/60/50

ASanae - 80/70/80/130/80/90

TSanae - 90/60/85/105/80/110

The entire line has Serene Grace, except for Tensoku who has Maintenance.

CSanae is Pure Faith, but her secondary typing changes a lot depending of the form.

Regular Sanae is the best tank this side of Blissey, having 90/110/110 defenses, acess to Calm Mind and Wish as well as Mirror Coat and Giga Drain make it very hard to cause any Special damage to her, and even if you do, there's the risk of getting a Mirror Coat to the face for your troubles. Regular Sanae is Faith/Wind, which resists Fire, Water, Heart, Flying and doubly resists Wind, she's weak to Earth, Reason and Beast only, which makes her even more of a tank. She has acess to a nice offensive moveset as well, being able to learn Aeroblast (which is Wind typed in this game), Extrasensory (Faith type here), Heat Wave by level and Surf and Giga Drain by TM as well as having decent Sp.A. Basically, once Regular Sanae gets a Calm Mind in, start running.

You might be wondering what Tensoku is, it's a Humongous Mecha introduced in Touhou Hisoutensoku, apparently Sanae is a Mecha otaku so I guess she's the one who would pilot it, you can get it from the same stones as the Advent forms. Anyway, DAT DEFENSE. Tensoku is Steel/Fire and as such it's doubly weak to Earth and weak to Water and Dream, while resisting Flying, Reason, Nature and doubly resisting Steel. It has acess to the elemental punches as well as Superpower, like Golurk, he can also Fly. You're probably not going to beat it using Physical moves, even Earth type moves may be unable to OHKO it unless it's Special.

ASanae is basically a more offensive Regular Sanae, it still has a decent bulk and is able to learn Aqua Shower (renamed Water Spout) as well as Thunder, giving it Rain Dance can be really devastating if you can't outspeed it. It's Faith/Water, making her doubly resistant to Water and Fire and resistant to Ice, Steel and Heart, it's weak to Reason, Beast, Miasma and Nature. She has a slightly more limited movepool than Regular Sanae though, being unable to learn Heat Wave and Aeroblast, making Thunder it's only Wind STAB.

TSanae is Speedy Sanae, still with a good bulk and offense, it's Faith/Nature, making her doubly resistant to Water and Wind and resistant to Heart, Nature, Earth and Beast, it's weak to Reason, Flying, Miasma and Ice. It has the benefit of learning Calm Mind naturally, but it's movepool is comprised only of STAB moves, Surf and Mirror Coat, it's pretty mediocre compared to the others.

One thing for people who start with Sanae, the Faith type is weak against Beast, Tackle is a Beast move, there are Beast types around, that means you'll be dealing with Super-effective STAB moves right off the bat, I'd say it's well worth it though, Regular Sanae is beastly.

http://i.imgur.com/33J4tee.png

Hello weakness to Reason, it was a two hit KO and it even got confused.

http://i.imgur.com/tnHbdz9.png

Unfortunately I lost the post-battle dialogue, but she did say the usual thing of "Look at you! Your puppet already likes you". Let that sink in for a moment.

I guess Herbert already has a crush on Sarah (this was totally unintentional by the way, I love how appropriate it is =P)

http://i.imgur.com/J8zjORH.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/OGXSUlJ.png

We got our Orbs! Nice detail that the Pokéball is now a Yin-Yang orb.

Now let's catch something on Route 101!

http://i.imgur.com/p2GceKR.png

It's a kitty!

http://i.imgur.com/a64Gre0.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/IoA9Wjb.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/yWYRR3r.png

It's a known fact that catnip works on Chen =3

http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2013/102/f/8/touhou_collaboration_art___chen_by_kane_neko-d61f5l8.jpg

CChen - 55/75/35/40/40/95

Chen -  80/100/60/60/60/130

AChen - 70/130/65/60/65/100

AdChen - 80/90/80/60/70/110

TChen - 70/90/65/90/65/110

CChen can have Pick Up or Run Away, which become Limber and Early Bird once she evolves, with the exception of AdChen who has the Advent Ability, which is basically White Smoke. Alli has Pick Up. CChen is also Pure Beast.

There's absolutely no reason for someone to ever choose Normal Chen over AChen, if you thought Reisen was Glassy, look at this line. AChen and Normal Chen have virtually the same movepool and the former has a higher attack and makes up for the lower Speed with Tailwind, which is basically Dragon Dance in this game, there's literally nothing Normal Chen can do that AChen can't do better. The two puppets can learn Night Slash, Slash (which is Beast type here), Soar (Flying Sky Uppercut), while also getting Brick Break and Dig by TM, which has the Gen V power if I remember right.

AdChen is the closest Chen gets to being balanced, she has a rather low attack but Tailwind makes up for it, her defenses are still a bit too low though AdChen, as well as Normal Chen and AdChen, is Beast type, meaning it's resistant Ghost and Earth, but weak to Fire, Water and Flying, not very good for an already frail puppet. It doesn't help that AdChen trades Night Slash for Volt Tackle, making her even more frail, it's not even that good with dealing with Water puppets since she can also learn Cross Poison instead of Soar in this form.

TChen is... Bad. She's Beast/Wind, making her resistant to Ghost and Wind, but weak to Water and Fire. Her stats aren't very good and while she's able to learn Tail Wind to make up for her low attack, she only learn physical Beast type moves by level up and Dig, Brick Break and Return (which is Illusion type, which is basically Normal type) by TM, probably one of the worst puppets in the game.

Now for the other route!

http://i.imgur.com/og9gLcA.png

OH MY GOD YEEEEEEES! MOMIJI!

http://i.imgur.com/gQ4Ytll.png

...

...

...

-Does this to Herbert-

Anyway...

http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20121012175155/protagonist/images/thumb/1/11/Inubashiri_momiji_00.jpg/500px-Inubashiri_momiji_00.jpg

CMomiji - 65/80/70/25/25/65 (Abilities: Run Away/Early Bird)

Momiji - 80/130/80/50/50/90 (Abilities: Intimidate/Guts)

DMomiji - 100/70/115/40/90/65 (Sand Veil/ Early Bird)

CMomiji is a pure Beast type, but becomes Beast/Steel upon evolving.

Normal Momiji works as a counterpart for AChen, with the difference in that she can take physical hits well, but is bad with dealing with Special moves. Being Beast/Steel, she's doubly weak to Fire and also weak to Water and Dream, she resists Ghost, Reason and Nature. She's also able to learn Tailwind by level and also Crunch (Beast type), Night Slash and Braver (Steel type Facade) while having Earthquake and Brick Break by TM. She also has an interesting gimmick in that she can also learn Rage, which has 60 BP and can burn the user, but since one of Momiji's abilities is Guts, that actually works at her favor, making her able to dish out damage very quickly especially if she has Braver on her moveset. Intimidate is great too and she can compensate by using Swords Dance or Tailwind.

DMomiji is very similar to Normal Momiji, she has lower Speed and Atk, but a better Defense, she can compensate for the decreases with Tailwind, but would need to use it twice to reach Normal Momiji's power and she lacks Intimidate to make her more bulky against physical attackers, she still can be very useful, it really depends if you want something more bulky or a sweeper, just remember that Fire types are the devil for her.

By the way Momiji is a rare encounter on Route 103.

Now for Route 102...

http://i.imgur.com/E5uQdzU.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/PcdIuzC.png

We get a bird.

http://i.imgur.com/SBVacK3.png

Fortis is a pink birdie~

http://media.animegalleries.net/albums/userpics/189975/Mystia%20Lorelei.jpg?=123

CMystia - 50/75/45/45/55/90

Mystia - 75/100/70/70/80/115

AdMystia - 80/50/105/70/70/105

AMystia - 75/80/65/120/65/105

HMystia - 90/60/80/80/110/80

CMystia is pure Flying, as are Normal Mystia and HMystia. All of them with the exception of AdMystia have Diva (basically Illuminate) and Cute Charm as their abilities, AdMystia has Advent.

... I'm not really sure what to say here, I was never very fond of the Mystia line, so I really can't say much about them.

Regular Mystia is a bit glassy and her attack isn't that great either, but she's cursed with learning more special than physical moves, making her... Quite bad. She's pure Flying, so she's weak to Wind, Ice and Steel and resistant to Nature, Beast and Dream. Her only notable move is Soar and maybe Steel Wing by TM.

AdMystia has poor stats and is Heart/Flying, so she's resistant to Nature, Beast, Reason, Ghost, Heart and Dark, but weak to Wind, Faith, Ice and Steel, she has a nice offensive and support movepool, but she doesn't really have the stats to do it well and lacks a way to boost her stats.

AMystia is a Glass Cannon and is of the Flying/Dream type, so she's resistant to Heart, Illusion, Nature, Beast and doubly resistant to Dream, while being weak to Wind, Ice, Reason, Dark and Steel. She has nice moves such as Air Slash, Hyper Voice (Dream type), Energy Light (80 BP Nature move), Binding Voice (Beast type move with 90 BP if I'm right) by level up and Ice Beam, Heart Break (90 BP Dark Move) and Shadow Ball by TM. She can be pretty useful, I just have bad luck keeping her alive =P

HMystia is a support form and learns the same moves as AMystia by level-up, and can make good use of Roost unlike her, but...  There's nothing really special about her. She shares the same weakenesses and resistances with Normal Mystia.

Next time I swear we're going to make actual progress in the game, I'm only going to give an analysis about the puppets of important trainers and the ones I catch (or try, in Momiji's case).

Alli also learned this while training, now she can do better against other Chen and stands a better chance against Flying types. Fortis can now help catch wilds better~

And now...

We take care of some weak trainers, by the way...

Different city!

And this is Ralt's replacement, we'll talk about her when we get to the first Wally battle. Since we all know what happens here, let's go straight to the next catch.

And there she is!

... But the little bitch poisoned everyone and forced me to run away, the last screenshot was taken when I was right in front of the Nurse Joy. Yeah, close call there Fortis...

Anyway...

http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130720204526/villains/images/1/14/Medicine_Melancholy.jpg

CMedicine - 70/40/65/65/65/35

Medicine - 100/60/95/90/95/50

AMedicine - 70/50/65/125/90/90

SMedicine - 55/40/100/70/100/125

TMedicine - 80/60/70/105/70/105

There's not much to say about the Medicine line actually, their movesets are virtually the same, with a few differences tossed between them. So, it's more or less a decision based on her stats, what do you need the most? A balanced form (Normal Medicine), a hard hitter (AMedicine), a fast status inducer (SMedicine) or a fast hitter (TMedicine)? She has enough options to be viable on most teams. The line is Nature/Miasma, meaning it's doubly resistant to Nature and resistant to Beast, Wind, Water and Heart while being weak to Fire, Reason, Ice and Flying.

The line in general only has STAB for attacks, with some good support moves like Leech Seed, Substitute, Burn Powder, Toxic and Encore, the last one is only learnable by SMedicine, the only notable move by TM is Shadow Ball though. Some of the good moves they learn is Giga Drain, Energy Light (for the forms that can't learn Nature Sound), Nature Sound (90 BP, 100ACC, Nature type) and Poison Bomb (90BP, 100ACC, Miasma type).

They all can have Chlorophyll or Poison Body (Poison Point)

http://i.imgur.com/EYgpvf6.png

Behold, the Magikarp of the game. I already know who to name it after when I inevitably get one~

http://i.imgur.com/mgNHJwV.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/b46yz0s.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/nnsW6kw.png

More trainer massacre! You can steal a Rare Candy from the Lady's puppet if you got a Nazrin (learns Thief) or Ellen (learns Wanting/Covet).

http://i.imgur.com/Ew7UvLY.png

Rapid Spin is Miasma type, as for why Chen learns it...

http://i.imgur.com/54ZHNvB.png

Welcome to the Fairy Woods! Almost all puppets here are fairies, kinda funny that the Fairy type doesn't exist in a game with actual fairies.

http://i.imgur.com/KnYPNv3.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/HlH1GwE.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/8YiYXB3.png

... And I get the worst out of the bunch.

I had no idea who to name her after -shrugs-

http://files-cdn.formspring.me/photos/20120818/n502fd7ebc9e13.jpg

CLuna - 45/45/45/70/45/80

Luna - 65/55/65/100/65/130

ALuna - 70/70/80/130/80/50

TLuna - 75/55/70/80/90/110

CLuna is Wind type, the others are Wind/Nature type. CLuna's ability is Pick Up, which becomes Volt Absorb upon evolving.

Normal Luna is a Glass Cannon, period. She even learns Nasty Plot by level up. Other notable moves include Air Slash, Discharge and Energy Light by level up (she learns Wish, but doesn't have the bulk to make good use of it) and Shadow Ball, Poison Bomb, Thunderbolt, Giga Drain, Energy Ball (120 BP, 70ACC, Dream type) and Signal Beam (Heart type here).

ALuna is a bit more bulky than Normal Luna and has more Sp.A in exchange for Speed and the ability to use Nasty Plot. Notable moves include Sonicboom (70BP, 100ACC, Steel type), Nature Sound, Gale, (Flying, special Mach Punch) and Leech Seed by level up, while learning the same TMs as her normal form. Gale gives her priority, so she can dish out some serious damage as long as you're careful with her.

TLuna is... Kinda bad actually, she has a very limited movepool with her main useful moves being Discharge, Energy Light, Sonicboom and Prank (Super-Fang) by level up with the same TMs as the other forms. Even though she's the bulkier one, her Sp.A is rather low and she can't boost herself, so she's just a big Fragile Speedster with very few uses really.

Herbert has a new toy~

http://i.imgur.com/eOz1Ms1.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/RR9VRWE.png

I prefer Star myself, not the biggest Sunny fan =P

For reference: Luna (Left), Star (Center), Sunny (Right)

http://i.imgur.com/xLNVd2N.png

Oh boy. Time for the first major enemy in this game.

http://i.imgur.com/kBr99NH.png

CMomiji
Lvl: 10
Stats: 65/80/70/25/25/65
Moveset: Cut/Blade Flash/Bite/Tail Whip

This battle can be a bit nasty at first, Cut and Blade Flash are both Steel type moves, the former has 60 BP and perfect accuracy while the latter has 40 BP and Priority. Flying types would be good to use if it wasn't for their weakness to Steel, Fortis definetively isn't going to survive a SE Cut going from that attack and it's very hard to use a CTokiko against her as well. The best bets are CSunny and CStar as they can SE with Special attacks, however CMomiji outspeeds CStar and can hit back with STAB Bite, CSunny is better due to having Ember instead of Bubble and a higher Sp.A and Speed.

http://i.imgur.com/nSyrkiS.png

I went with Herbert because of his higher defense, I was admitedlly a bit scared of this fight, so I grinded a bit for it.

http://i.imgur.com/vEQEcNu.png

Hah!

http://i.imgur.com/cz3ISqz.png

Oh come on!

http://i.imgur.com/uOawdEU.png

To further discourage you of using Flying types, she carries this with her and it's very unlikely that you'll one-shot her with a Flying type move since she has such a high defense.

http://i.imgur.com/h3xwelX.png

Three Psyshots and she's down, though the critical only happened when a normal damage Psyshot would take her down, you only get criticals at bad times, Herbert >_>

Let's start things out with catches!

http://i.imgur.com/gTuOUXR.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/wjdJMHF.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/k0YHlPo.png

First puppet named after a mon! The reasoning is that Kyouko's power is to create echoes, and she yells a lot too, so I asked in the chat for a character that yells a lot, that was the response.

And I suppose now Fortis and Ghostus can create a rock band.

Yes, this pic is official.

CKyouko - 60/50/60/60/70/60

Kyouko - 90/60/90/90/100/65

CKyouko is Dream type, Kyouko is Dream/Beast. Their abilities is either Soundproof or Early Bird. Ghostus has Soundproof as shown above.

Kyouko is a very good balanced puppet, having 90/90/100 bulk and acceptable Sp.A. She has access to Yawn, Mirror Coat, Counter, Jamming (Block/Mean Look) and Perish Song which make good use of her bulky nature if you want to use her for defense. On the other hand she learns Hyper Voice (Dream typed), Binding Voice, Nature Sound and Sonicboom by level and Signal Beam by TM as well as Calm Mind, very useful for offense as well and becoming even more bulky in the special side. Her Dream/Beast typing makes her resistant to Heart, Ghost, Illusion and Earth while being weak to Reason, Water, Fire, Dark and Flying. Admitedlly her typing is bad for defense, but Signal Beam is SE against Dark types and Sonicboom is SE against Flying, so she at least can cover her weaknesses a little bit. Overall, a very solid puppet to use early on.

You might wonder why she only has one evolution, she's the first of the Ten Desires puppets you'll find, they're almost exclusive to this version and only get their Normal evolution. The same also applies for the characters that come from the PC-98 games, such as Ellen.

Now for the cave, the only puppets in there are the CKyoukos like Ghostus and...

Buckets.

http://i.imgur.com/jheAAbj.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/qPXahuu.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/QI6Jc7t.png

I will forever picture Alyssa hiding in a bucket from now on, seriously, it's just as appropriate as it's ironic. Why it's appropriate? Kisume is a Water type and at least in this game she seems to be shy. Why is it ironic? She's also Fire type =P

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu213/Masatog/18997338_p9.jpg

CKisume - 50/30/115/45/60/30

Kisume - 75/50/155/60/90/50

TKisume - 75/60/115/105/75/50

All of them are Water/Fire as mentioned earlier and can have the abilities Guard Armor (Battle Armor) and Sturdy. Alyssa has Sturdy. Their typing make them doubly resistant to Fire and Steel and resistant to Ice while being weak to Wind, Miasma and Earth.

DAT DEFENSE. Normal Kisume is basically Skarmory on a bucket. She's a mighty tank with access to Will-O-Wisp, Substitute, Destiny Bond, Pain Split and Mystic Water (Ingrain) by level as well as Rest by TM. Even with her low offenses, she still can make good use of Surf, Heat Wave and Shadow Ball by level as well as Giga Drain by TM. If you need something to deal with physical attacks, Normal Kisume is what you need.

TKisume is just if you need something with good defenses and also a good offense, her moveset is the same as Normal Kisume's except for learning Hydro Pump instead of Destiny Bond. She's still just as useful, but in another department. Though admitedlly there are better offensive mons out there, but not many are better than Normal Kisume at being a wall.

And now... We grind!

Roxanne is very well covered. All of her Puppets have the same weaknesses: Fire, Water and Flying. Out of those three, CNazrin and CMomiji cover Flying with Cut and Scratch (Steel type), respectively, while Fire is covered by CMomiji and CChen's Rock Tomb. Not only that, but CMomiji will gladly set-up on you and murder your entire team with STAB Bites if you let her, all in all, this works very well as a Wake-Up Call battle, though Roxanne does have one weakness.

http://i.imgur.com/jBEI36A.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/dVCINSC.png

CKisume. Her high defense allows her to take SE non-STAB Rock Tombs with ease while dishing out damage with Water Gun or Ember, both of which have been boosted to 60 BP.

http://i.imgur.com/EoO5X9a.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/dpJ2Uep.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/w4jeTQW.png

And she can also do this. Denied!

http://i.imgur.com/SNE9BlR.png

CMomiji also carries this with her, being Roxanne's signature puppet. This is bad because if she manages to set-up too many Howls, you're in trouble.

http://i.imgur.com/SjbTqgN.png

Oddly enough, neither CMomij or CChen tried to use Rock Tomb on Alyssa despite her being weak to it, CChen used Bite and Tail Whip before going down and CMomiji just spammed Howl.

http://i.imgur.com/BjaFL5k.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/2MDtuHw.png

Alyssa got close to sweeping Roxanne by herself, but Mirror Shot lowered her accuracy and she missed with Water Gun, I didn't want to risk a Critical, so I decided to switch her out.

http://i.imgur.com/EPrObAE.png

Fortis had to take a Mirror Shot to the face, but being faster and thanks to Alyssa's previous damage, she easily disposed of the CNazrin without fear of being hit by Cut.

http://i.imgur.com/88HO46l.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/pDH6xFr.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/F9yVNnO.png

Thanks miss. The TM is still Rock Tomb, just remember that Rock and Ground fused into the Earth type here and the Flying type is actually immune to rock moves now!

Now let's talk about the one puppet Roxanne had that wasn't covered here:

http://img34.imageshack.us/img34/4740/sample97093ad8b5610e899.jpg

Mousey~

CNazrin - 30/65/45/65/60/75

Nazrin - 60/90/70/90/85/105

TNazrin - 60/70/105/115//70/80

HNazrin - 80/75/100/75/110/60

CNazrin is pure Beast and has Pick Up and Sand Veil as abilities while her evolutions are Beast/Heart and have Collector (Sticky Hold) and Sand Veil as abilities. The evolutions's typing makes them doubly resistant to Ghost and resistant to Earth, Reason, Dark and Heart while being weak to Fire, Water, Flying, Faith and Dream.

Normal Nazrin is a Master of None. Fragile with decent offense, but her best Beast STAB has shaky accuracy and so do most of her physical moves, while she can technically go for special offense, which is more reliable, she lacks a way to boost her Sp.A, while having Swords Dance and Tailwind by level. Notable moves include Killing Bite (100 BP, 80 ACC and is Beast type), Double-Edge (Beast type), Body Slam (Heart type), Tri Attack (Heart type), Zen Headbutt and Energy Light by level. Still, the other ones are better, so you really have no reason to go for Normal Nazrin.

TNazrin is the route you should go if you a CNazrin who is better at special offense. Good Defense, Sp.A with a decent Speed, but bad on the Special defensive side. Her notable moves are the same Special moves that Normal Nazrin learns, but she also has Binding Voice for Beast STAB as well as Mist Ball (120 BP, 80 ACC and is Heart type). A solid Special attacker overall and she can also learn Mirror Coat in case you want to take advantage of her lower Sp.D.

HNazrin is what you should aim in case you got a CNazrin who is better at physical offense. Highly defensive, but with a low Atk, however she still learns Swords Dance by level up, which makes it less of a problem. Her moveset is similar to Normal Nazrin's, but with Crush Claw (75 BP, 90 ACC, Beast type) instead of Killing Bite and Night Slash instead of Tri-Attack, which helps dealing with Dream types. She's a Mighty Glacier, but does a pretty good job at being one.

The entire line can learn Thunderbolt, Energy Ball and Sonicboom by level-up, but only TNazrin can really get much use out of those, giving her an edge over the others when it comes to movepool and coverage, since Thunderbolt lets her fight Water types and Sonicboom helps with the Flying types.

And once we get outside, we're ambushed by plot.

http://i.imgur.com/gBRVF1y.png

IT TOOK YOU THIS LONG TO LEARN A STAB MOVE (65 BP, 90 ACC).

... Though Ghostus is being worse in that regard, no STAB until he evolves at 27, seriously?

http://i.imgur.com/rW4iKeM.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/U29Ci2D.png

I pity the poor puppet that was named "Peeko". Though a Kyouko named Ghostus is pretty bad too, would be better if she was an actual Ghost type =P

Movepool: Whirlpool

Yes, it only knows Whirlpool, however it has 65 BP and gets STAB as well as doing extra damage at the end of every turn. Coming from a high Sp.A, it hurts a lot and can easily catch off-guard if you're not careful, in fact...

http://i.imgur.com/PWHXvBS.png

I sent Ghostus out because he had a better Sp.D, but as you can see, it didn't work very well thanks to him not getting STAB on Decision, I was planning to switch out to Herbert since I figured he could take a Whirlpool and finish her with a Mirror Shot...

... But I forgot that Whirlpool prevented switching. All I could do was hope that Headbutt did more damage to OHKO or critted it, or even flinching it.

CMomiji

Movepool: Tail Whip/Focus Energy/Howl/Bite

This is mostly a breather after the last two battles, CSanae lacks STAB, just sending in a Flying type will make CMomiji a total non-issue compared to the last two we had to face previously and CTokiko doesn't really have much that makes it a threat.

Why thank you!

And of course, one last analysis:

http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/oo144/felixyiu/TOU%20HOU/4910103-2.jpg

CTokiko - 70/55/70/30/60/45

Tokiko - 100/80/100/40/90/70

ATokiko - 80/100/70/40/70/120

CTokiko and Normal Tokiko have Limber/Early Bird as abilities, but ATokiko has Guts instead of Early Bird. The entire line is Flying type, making them immune to Earth, resitant to Beast, Nature and Dream and weak to Steel, Ice and Wind.

Tokiko is the physical equivalent of Kyouko, however, she lacks a boosting move in trade of a healing move in the form of Roost, that has it's benefits and disadvantages, on one side this allows her to last longer against foes and eventually defeat them, but it also makes her unable to cause much damage on her own, so she's a fairly mediocre puppet. Notable moves include Mirror Coat, Roost, Zen Headbutt, Soar and Slash by level-up.

ATokiko is a good sweeper with solid stats, a bit glassy, but maybe Roost could compensate for that. Her moveset is virtually the same as well, but she learns Soar earlier and also learns Brave Bird if you don't mind the recoil. She also learns Facade by level, which would be nice if the Toxic or Flame orb existed in this game, since she has Guts as an ability.

The only really notable TM move for this line really is Steel Wing, which helps them deal with the Ice types a bit better. Overall, solid puppet, but there are better choices, kinda like Mystia really.

Finally, we are done with Rustboro. Next time we'll make some team changes and go to Dewford get even more puppets!

The god of misfortune himself.

http://img.www4.hp-ez.com/img/qazedctgbujm/a_20130720-215840.jpg

Hina Kagiyama is the goddess of misfortune, however she's a goddess only in name, because she doesn't live out of the faith others have in her. Instead of inflicting misfortune on others, she insteads absorbs it from others to prevent them from falling victim to it, though Symphosium of Post-Mysticism claims that staying near her for too long will cause the misfortune to leak to you, she holds no ill will towards anyone and is mentioned to be quite sociable and friendly.

She's the midboss and boss of Stage 2 in the game Mountain of Faith where she attempts to stop the heroine from climbing the titular mountain out of concern about their safety, she also appears in Double Spoiler as one of the Scene 2 bosses and also appears as a background character in Hopeless Masquerade.

She's popular due to her spinning during a good portion of her stage before attacking the player as a midboss and also spins during her attacks. Spin Hina Spin~

CHina - 85/50/65/50/65/25

Hina - 110/75/90/75/90/50

AHina - 100/60/60/125/95/50

DHina - 80/70/135/75/70/60

All members of this line are Miasma type, their abilities are either Strange Mist (Liquid Ooze) or Levitate, though CHina has Natural Cure instead of the latter.

Regular Hina is tanky and works well as one, she's not very good in the offensive department, but she has access to Giga Drain , Gunk Shot, Poison Bomb (Sludge Bomb), Poison Jab (TM), Flamethrower (TM), Thunderbolt (TM), Fire Blast (TM), Will-o-Wisp (TM), Surf (HM), Waterfall (HM), Mirror Coat, Counter, Destiny Bond, Explosion and Curse (TM). As you can see, she needs TM desperately if she wants to attack someone with something that's not STAB and Giga Drain, as such, she may not be very useful in the long run, she does have her moments though, so it all depends if you're patient enough to raise her until you have the necessary TMs for the set you want. As a matter of fact, a Curse set is only really useful if you're ready to rely on Poison Jab (or Gunk Shot) and Waterfall to cause damage, considering how late you get the latter, it's not really worth it.

AHina is more Special oriented and trades Destiny Bond for Extrasensory, overall she's the same as Hina, just being what an Attack form should be: Offensive. Her high HP will help her take strong physical moves, but I wouldn't recommend leaving her against an Earth type unless she has Levitate and don't expect you to attack first with much frequency because she's a Mighty Glacier, so it's best to only send her in if you're sure she can take some hits before scoring a KO. In case you want to be suicidal, AHina has access to Memento, which is a Dark type, Special Explosion type of move.

DHina trades HP and Sp.D for Defense and she's quite the tank in that regard, she learns Will-o-Wisp naturally, making her even more of a physical wall and also learns Pain Split instead of Giga Drain as well as Confuse Ray so that she becomes even more of an annoyance to deal with. Keep her away from the Reason types and she should work very well as a physical wall, just don't expect her to do much in the way of attacking, she only has Miasma type moves and Memento as options, so she's even worse than Regular Hina in regards to natural movepool.

But wait! There's more for us to fish in the next route!

http://24.media.tumblr.com/9e9f6c90a375ddd940edc2c71b9c8ead/tumblr_mf87vw5n6P1qfpfczo1_500.jpg

Murasa Minamitsu is a Ship Phantom, as in, the spirit of someone who died in a shipwreck and now causes them to make others feel her pain, she does that using her infinite stack of anchors and also a ladle that produces infinite water. Murasa was bound to the ocean in which she died and lived by attacking any ships that passed by her, causing a certain Byakuren Hijiri to be called to deal with her, however, when Byakuren did appear before her on the seas completely defenseless, Minamitsu sunk her ship easily, prompting the spirit to wonder why. Byakuren then reappeared on the surface atop a shining ship, which she had constructed using the ship Minamitsu had died on as a design. Moved by the monk's insight and her own sense of nostalgia, she accepted Byakuren's offer to captain the shining ship. Byakuren was eventually sealed away in Makai while Murasa was sealed in the underground where she and her ship were buried, eventually her and other followers of Byakuren escaped and decided to repay her.

Murasa is the Stage 4 boss of Undefined Fantastic Object where she's the captain of the flying ship that the heroines spot in the sky and attacks them due to they having fragments of her ship that were lost once it started flying. Being the leader of the operation, she could be considered the Big Bad of the game. She also appears as one of the bosses of Scene 5 in Double Spoiler and also as a background character in Hopeless Masquerade.

CMurasa - 75/75/55/45/85/35

Murasa - 100/100/80/70/110/60

AMurasa - 80/70/115/125/70/60

DMurasa - 85/65/70/90/120/90

The entire line is Water/Ghost and has either Torrent or Swift Swim as an ability. She's resistant to Reason, Steel, Fire, Water and Ice, but weak to Beast, Ghost, Wind and Nature.

Regular Murasa is quite tanky and powerful, she can compensate her low speed with Aqua Jet as well, however her main problem is just that she has an hard time using her best offensive stat. Her main physical move is Aqua Jet, the only other good one she learns are Waterfall and Shadow Dive (Shadow Force, replaces Dive) by HM, Ice Punch by move relearner and Psycho Cut by TM, so it takes a looong time before she can really become useful, similar to Regular Hina, but worse since she's an actual offensive puppet.

AMurasa trades bulk for a better Sp.A, she still has the problem of having a rather shallow movepool, but at least her good moves come naturally, Muddy Water, Dark Pulse, Hydro Pump, Shadow Ball, Ice Beam (TM), Surf (HM) are her best moves and are just enough types to fill in an entire moveset. She can't use Aqua Jet though, so you'll have to deal with her slow speed similarly to AHina above, but this time you should be concerned about her Sp.D, especially considering that the types that hit her for SE damage are mostly special (Wind, Nature, Ghost). Overall a better choice to the main game than Regular Murasa.

DMurasa attempts to be tanky, but her DEF and HP leave much to be desired and since she has no self-buffs, her Sp.A ends up being rather weak to be used properly. She gets the benefit of learning Ice Beam naturally, but still has a rather shallow movepool like the rest of the line. Any Beast types that attack her physically are going to kill her for the second time pretty quickly, though at least she can deal with Special threats more easily and having a more workable Speed. Still, lack of good Status moves other than Substitute, Rain Dance and Destiny Bond make her quite subpar compared to the others.

Why Dune for Murasa? It's his favorite character if I'm right, and there's also the irony of RP!Dune hating travel by ship, which I guess is both ironic and appropriate. Murasa causes shipwrecks after all.

http://cfs7.tistory.com/image/33/tistory/2008/09/21/14/14/48d5d84e3748a

Koakuma is the assistent of the magician Patchouli Knowledge and as such helps her with managing the enormous library of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, she's said to be mischievous and carefree and often acts without thinking, however she's often portrayed as being very obedient and dilligent and good natured, which what I myself picture her as being. She's the midboss of Stage 4 in Emboidment of the Scarlet Devil.

CKoakuma - 35/35/35/75/75/75

Koakuma - 60/60/60/100/100/100

HKoakuma - 85/45/85/80/100/85

The entire line is Reason type and CKoakuma's abilities are Synchronize and Run Away, the other two have Synchronize or Levitate. They're resistant to Faith, Dream and Miasma, but weak to Ghost, Dark and Heart.

Regular Koakuma is the Squishy Wizard, not much to say other than that. She has a great movepool,  Mana Burst (Psychic), Wish, Mirror Coat, Lovely Kiss, Luster Purge, Barrier, Thunderbolt (TM), Ice Beam (TM), Will-o-Wisp (TM), Shadow Ball (TM), Flamethrower (TM), Signal Beam (TM) and Sonicboom (TM). The only thing she lacks is Calm Mind, a shame too, she had the perfect stats to make use of it. Anyway, keep her away from physical attackers and she should be a great teammate if you can burn some TMs on her. She normally would have a very shallow normal movepool, but as CKoakuma she can learn Shock Wave and Black Ripple (60 BP, Dark type, causes paralysis) naturally, so it's less of a hassle.

HKoakuma is less Squishy and actually learns Mana Charge (Calm Mind, because yes, we need two moves that do the same thing), she trades Lovely Kiss for Encore and Barrier for Reflect and she can also Baton Pass the Mana Charge boost, if you're afraid of using the Squishy Regular Koakuma and wants something bulkier, then HKoakuma certainly fits the bill since she doesn't even sacrifice much in the way of offence since she can use Mana Charge, so she only lost some Speed in favor of HP and Defense, which is quite a good trade-off. I personally think this form is the more useful out of the two.

Regina seemed fitting for Koakuma since they both have to do everything for their superiors, they being Jacob to Regina and Patchouli to Koakuma (hinthint), I also think they have similar personalities, well-behaved, playful and rather carefree.

And that's it for now, for the time being however, have dex entries in case I haven't shown some:

Daiyousei was just a nameless midboss in Embodiment of the Scarlet Devil, but the fanbase gave her a name and ZUN just said Sure Why Not and rolled with it. She really doesn't have much to her otherwise since she has no canon personality or even power. She also appears in the games Fairy Wars as a midboss and Hopeless Masquerade as a background character.

CDaiyousei - 55/30/50/55/50/90

Daiyousei - 80/50/70/80/80/120

ADaiyousei - 70/50/70/120/80/90

DDaiyousei - 80/40/70/80/160/50

All of them are Nature type except DDaiyousei who is Nature/Wind. CDaiyousei only has Run Away as an ability, the others have either Serene Grace or Natural Cure. Also nice attempt at being Blissey there DDaiyousei.

Notable Moves by TM: Ice Beam/Signal Beam/Sonic Boom/ Blizzard/Mana Burst/Reflect/Light Screen

Regular Daiyousei is your typical Fragile Speedster, she has access to Wish for healing, but all forms can do it as well. She has good coverage with Energy Light (Energy Ball), Air Slash and the TM moves from above and she can also Baton Pass Wish even though that's not that useful in-game.

ADaiyousei is a lot more powerful and is still quite fast, though a little bit more frail. She can use Wish for healing and for some reason can learn Recycle. She can buff herself with Mana Charge which works nicely with Wish. Other than that, she's pretty ordinary

DDaiyousei is a mighty Special tank with Wish, Mystic Water (Aqua Ring) and Leech Seed. She can also cripple physical attackers with Burn Powder, so she can really stall a lot of teams to death. Offensivelly the most notable about her is Aeroblast as her main Wind type move. Her typing also makes her only weak to Fire and Miasma!

http://i.imgur.com/JLhDCvU.png

Oh wait.

http://i.imgur.com/uF9eLhK.png

Surprise! This game added a battle with Archie! I always thought it was weird that you only fought him once in Emerald while you fight Maxie thrice, so this is quite a nice touch.

CFuto (Faith type)
Level: 16
Stats: 70/75/60/70/50/60
Moveset - Rock Smash/Comet Punch/Water Gun/Secret Power

CToyohime (Water/Earth type)
Level: 17
Stats:  65/55/95/90/50/45
Moveset: Sand Tomb/Ice Shard/Bubble/Decision

CSuwako (Water type)
Level: 18
Stats: 65/45/70/90/55/75
Moveset: Water Pulse/Decision/Mud Shot/Mist

This team will murder you if you're not prepared.

CFuto isn't much of an issue, especially if you started with Alice, but Koakuma works well too.

CToyohime will kill you repeatedly if you try going physical on her. Sand Tomb is also 65 BP like Whirlpool so it can hurt A LOT coming from 90 Sp.A. Ice Shard shouldn't hurt much but priority can be messy no less. A good special Nature type will bring her down instantly though.

CSuwako can lower your accuracy with Mud Shot and is also somewhat tanky on the physical side. Water Pulse will hurt a lot too and the confusion can be really annoying. Same deal as Toyohime, bring a special Nature type, since she only has a regular weakness to it though, she probably will take more than one hit to KO though.

Insert CFuto beatdown here because I forgot to screenshot

http://i.imgur.com/n4Y8edN.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/jC9KX7z.png

She did a lot more damage than I expected, I was afraid of leaving Regina on CSuwako with that little health event though she has  Shock Wave. In case you're wondering, I didn't bring Alice with me because I forgot to train her.

http://i.imgur.com/tALtPiX.png

And then THIS happened. I thought CSuwako was Water/Faith so I sent Ghostus in for Beast SE, but she tanked the hits and did a lot of damage with Water Pulse. Ghostus was left with very little HP and would've KO'd her in his next move, but then of course confusion had to kick in...

STRAW STOP LEAKING MISFORTUNE!

http://i.imgur.com/pQ85a39.png

And to add insult to injury she almost got Herbert too because I forgot about Decision hitting him SE. This crisis was averted at least.

http://i.imgur.com/OrtRfZZ.png

This battle wouldn't be so bad if you had time to heal before him, instead you have to go through three fights in a row.

http://i.imgur.com/RYGwMyN.png

Yes, I won't forget a Nature type next time or Suwako's type. Go away.

Stuff.

http://i.imgur.com/QV4GZkk.png

First death, or I suppose in Ghostus case it's a double death? A shame really, I wanted to see how good Kyouko was. Anyway, I blame Eskay.

http://i.imgur.com/R0GqI7t.png

Oh yes, you want to know why I wanted this so much?

http://i.imgur.com/PQcBZp7.png

Easy mode unlocked.

Now for something different!

http://i.imgur.com/uQR53IJ.png

You guys choose my team! You can choose anyone, but keep in mind I'm keeping Herbert in the team because he's my starter. So choose five out of these boxed mons.

In order:

Mystia: Fortis
Kisume: Alyssa
Murasa: Dune
Luna Child: Daisy
Daiyousei: Alice
Koakuma: Regina
Hina: Straw
Chen: Alli

You can also suggest which evolution should I go with for them, including Herbert. Just take a look at my gigantic summaries that I probably will edit later so they become less Wall of Text-y and choose one.

Re: Touhoumon Nuzlocke - We Are All Little Girls

I'm voting for Straw. Partially because a small, sadistic part of me wants to see him be an early death.

I scare myself sometimes.

[Spectrum was here!]

11

Re: Touhoumon Nuzlocke - We Are All Little Girls

As eager as I am to send Chibi!Dune out to wreck some ships people, Straw does seem a natural choice.

12

Re: Touhoumon Nuzlocke - We Are All Little Girls

1) Dune, because I want to see him wreck things

2) Straw, because like others, I think it'd be hilarious if he died - again.

We shall defeat legions of Cipher Peons... by performing an elaborate musical number!

Re: Touhoumon Nuzlocke - We Are All Little Girls

Episode 6: Mystic Pulse

All right, so I'm going with Straw, Dune, Herbert, Alice, Alli and Regina for the time being.

Aya is a bitch to deal with in this game. By this point of the game she has STAB Wing Attack, Speed Boost and Gale, which is pretty Quick Attack. If your team is glassy, she can easily get someone killed.

HOW THE [chirp] DOES THIS THING KNOW PSYCHIC?!

http://i.imgur.com/9Eq8tkh.png

AND WHY DOES IT HAVE A SITRUS BERRY

It actually took two of these to knock it out. It also knows Air Slash, Softboiled and FREAKING BLAST BURN

Go away

I'd do the Trick House, but I don't have anyone with Cut I think. Why can't Alli learn it?!

Oh joy.

http://i.imgur.com/vOOanzl.png

There's not much to this battle really, it's the same thing as the battle in Rustboro, so no need to elaborate on it.

http://i.imgur.com/c2mrzkJ.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/zgWSaxt.png

It actually took two attacks but she wasted her turn using Howl.

http://i.imgur.com/U1Q9lUU.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/e1zmDvJ.png

STOP THAT THIS INSTANT.

http://i.imgur.com/6HpeZss.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/TnXZjXG.png

As you can see it took more than one hit here as well.

http://i.imgur.com/gczfkuF.png

Unfortunately I'm not using items and Regina was at near death already so I couldn't use her against Sanae. So I have to go for the next best option and go with a Beast type and OH SHIT WATER PULSE

http://i.imgur.com/YK3WmxQ.png

...

http://i.imgur.com/PLnzltl.png

And she almost killed Dune too.

http://i.imgur.com/0B7Vjdj.png

I probably should've grinded more. Now I lost my Thief TM which means getting evolutionary stones will be a lot harder.

http://i.imgur.com/hw7fdS6.png

Not enough. That's quite the Wake-Up-Call.

http://i.imgur.com/oPtKM6w.png

R.I.P

I blame Eskay.

STOP THROWING AYAS AT ME GAME.

Finally.

Let's end this on a high note. Time for a catch!

... Since when do you appear here?

I suppose Aura and Ki are the same thing? *shrugs*

Anyway, Tagg is a Chinese girl now.

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pdfuIsuPIPs/TEcQFz-UEAI/AAAAAAAAAFQ/BNzkAdlJgzc/s1600/touhou_mei-ling_nonbei.jpg

Hong Meiling is the gatekeeper of the Scarlet Devil Mansion and superb martial artist. Nobody know what's her species is, but she's theorized to be a rainbow dragon. She's the Stage 3 Boss of Embodiment of Scarlet Devil and is playable in Immaterial and Missing Power and Hisoutensoku as well as appearing in Hopeless Masquerade as a background character.

CMeiling - 65/90/70/35/35/65

Meiling - 90/115/95/60/60/90

AdMeiling - 80/120/80/80/110/60

DMeiling - 110/75/120/60/80/65

SMeiling - 90/100/80/60/60/120

All of them are Dream type, except AdMeiling who is also part Heart.

Notable TMs: Poison Jab, Earthquake, Steel Fist (Iron Tail).

Regular Meiling is what you'd expect from a martial artist. Good physically, bad specially. But with acess to Bulk Up, Slack Off, the three Elemental Punches, Drain Punch and Meteor Mash, she can easily beat any physical treat due to her high Defense and HP and also quite decent Speed. Just keep her away from the Special Attackers.

AdMeiling is a Mighty Glacier with a higher Sp.D than Def and even higher attack. She's only weak to Faith as well so she's even better defensively. She has access to all the stuff regular Meiling has, but includes Blaze Kick and Agility, which aren't particularly notable. All in all probably the best form, but you can only acquire it in Mossdeep.

DMeiling is the choice you should go with if you want a Skarmory on your team. Having the same moveset as the other forms means she can work as a very good offensive tank, but she still lacks a bit on the Special side so that can make her somewhat glassy at times. You also need Bulk Up to really deal some damage so she's pretty much stopped dead by any special attacker.

SMeiling is the speedy and glassy one. Not much to say here other than she being able to use Reversal very effectivelly considering that if something doesn't OHKO her but still does a ton of damage, she's probably going to outspeed and murder everything with Reversal. It's very high-risk though which is bad for a Nuzlocke.

All in all, choosing the form you want depends on what you want: If you want a Speedy Glass Cannon, go with SMeiling, if you want a Jack-Of-All-Stats (except for the Sp.D of course), go with the regular form, if you want a mighty Stone Wall, go with DMeiling. But if you don't have any use for Meiling right away, go after AdMeiling once you can get her.

And this is the second death caused by Water Pulse. Lesson learned, I need to grind a lot more.

Anyway, vote for who I should use for the next update.

Re: Touhoumon Nuzlocke - We Are All Little Girls

Noooooooooooo Alliiiiiiiiiiiii!

I say put Tagg right in there, since there's very little risk of him getting oneshot.

15

Re: Touhoumon Nuzlocke - We Are All Little Girls

Wait, are AdMeiling, DMeiling, and SMeiling Eevee-style divergent evolutions, or are they Deoxys-style form changes?

[Spectrum was here!]

16

Re: Touhoumon Nuzlocke - We Are All Little Girls

Divergent Evolutions, you get the normal, no-letter-behind evolution by level, the others require Shards like the Support Shard I got in this update. I guess it's just a habit of mine to call them forms since they're the same character =P

But Meiling's evolution have so little to differenciate one from each other that they can be compared to Deoxys in a way, only really changing the base stats.

By the way the shard I got is for the H-evolutions, like HMystia.
