Topic: Blackening wings:Jet's story

Jet walked through the streets of Lilycove City, clad in normal-ish clothing so as to no arouse suspiscion. It had been almost 5 months since his failure in Hoenn. His former teammates were imprisoned or went to join their less extreme friends in Maxie and Archie's Ozone. He had no idea what was next. He considered heading out to one of the more obscure regions to avoid capture, or maybe looking into getting revenge on those damn people who ruined everything. For a while, it looked like he would do the former...

Until he found out about Cipher.

He had stumbled upon an article about some recent occurances in Orre. The concept of Shadow Pokemon intrigued him. Could a Pokemon really posess such power without going mad? There was only one way to find out. The next day, he hopped aboard the first ship bound for Gateon Port.

Gateon Port

One sea voyage later, and Jet arrives in Gateon Port. There, his contact awaitd him.

"Y-you sure you want to get into this, Jet?" he said, "This seems like it'll obly end badly..."

Jet just smiles smugly.

"Just trust me on this one." Jet replied.

Jet and his contact proceed to a hovertruck outside the city. Jet hops in, and they ride off into the arid Orre desert.

Shadow Pokemon Lab

They stop at the formerly electrified gate of the Shadow Pokemon Lab. Since it's second abandonment, it hasn't changed much, but is significanty more sandy. Jet studies the lab, looking for some reason it could be important now.

"So what's the deal with this thing? It looks abandoned." He remarked.

His contact just points him to the inside, and hands him a card with a red button pattern and lines on them, before taking off. Jet sighs.

"Just can't get good help these days..."

He takes the card, and proceeds through the lab.

Re: Blackening wings:Jet's story

As Jet continued through the lab, he began to notice several pieces of equipment that were broken, or otherwise not functional.

"Jeez, is this whole place a dump? How does anything even still work here?" He commented, passing by a broken DNA machine.

After a while, he finds a dead end room with a few big, coffin-like objects inside. A computer is present also, and appears to be functioning. A card key slot is hooked up to it.

"Must be where this goes..."

Jet inserts the card key. There is a slight whirring sound, like the sound of gears moving, and then one of the coffin-like objects slides out of the way, revealing a starcase underground. Jet proceeds down the steps. Eventually, he comes to what looks like a subway terminal. A train rests on the track, rusted and broken. The walls have grown plant life, and the storage units across the tracks look to have been pried open. A single red light over the tunnel illuminates the room.Jet heads towards the tunnel, and follows the tracks out to the other end.

The Under ruins

Jet enters a much different area than the last. Instead of being old and destroyed, the area appears to be well lit, and well kept. As he exits the terminal room, he finds himself in a long vertical room, with stairs and an elevator to the top, and strange green liquid near the bottom platforms. Not wanting to hike up the stairs, Jet takes the elevator up.

After the elevator ride, Jet walks across the bridge, and into a reception-like area. A single Cipher Peon, clad in the usual white armor uniform sits at the desk.

"Ah, you must be Jet." she says, "We've been expecting you. Please head into that office to your left."

Jet does just that, and steps into the office. Inside, he meets what appears to be a Cipher Peon, but clad in black armor, and a blue visor. The armor also appears to be more detailed. Around the person's neck is a red scarf, much like what an old Cipher Peon named Skrub wore. A Gardevoir stands next to the person.

"Hello, Jet." says the person, clearly talking through a voice modifier.

The Under Ruins

"Hello." Jet says.

"So, I've heard that you're curious about Cipher." the person says.

"That's correct."

The person gets up out of the chair and walks around the desk, approaching Jet.

"Well, I have one question for you. Do you aim to destroy us, or join us. Don't lie. Circe doesn't like liars." she says, full of confidence.

The Gardevoir's hands crackle with electricity.

Jet makes a smug smile. "Well, if I was here to destroy you, I doubt you'd have let me get this far."

The admin grins. "You're smart. I like that." The admin motions for Jet to follow, the person heading towards a Pokeball bust. The bust is opened, and a button is pressed, opening a door in the wall on the right of the desk. "Follow me. I have something to show you." The person says, before disappearing through door.

Jet follows the admin. He goes down a flight of stairs, before entering into a pitch black room. There is a flash of light, and the room is illuminated. Cries are heard,  the light bothering the caged Pokemon's eyes.

<"The light, it burns..."> Groans one Nidoking. An Amoongus growls in response.

"This is where we keep the Pokemon we receive from our various contacts," a voice booms over an intercom. The Pokemon cover their ears, with the exception of those who cannot, or do not need to.

"I can see that." Jet responds, looking around at the caged Pokemon.

"Meet me in the back room. There is a Pokemon I want show you," the voice says, before shutting off the intercom. Jet proceeds through the basement, passing cages of Pokemon. He eventually reaches the back room. He finds a Flygon in a cage, who immediately roars at Jet upon seeing him.

"Well, you certainly are friendly," Jet says sarcastically. "One of those Shadow Pokemon, I take it?"

"You learn quick," the same voice says, before leaping off the platform above the cage, and next to Jet, in the typical Cipher Peon style. "That is indeed a Shadow Flygon."

"Fascinating..." Jet remarks, "How powerful is it?"

"More powerful than you could imagine," the admin responds.

Jet makes a very evil looking grin. "Where can I get one?"
