Minty: <I slept very well indeed, madam.>

Fortis: <Uh huh! It was a nice rest for all the birdies!>

Minty: <Oh, I just remembered. Lady Fortissimo, are your brother and sister not waiting on you?>

Fortis: <Oh my gosh! I totally forgot! I was gonna fly up to the clouds with them!>

Roc is taken a bit by surprise. Turns around and sees Tagg.

Roc: <Oh… hello, Tagg. Good thing I found you.> -- hops up to the Swampert -- <How is the collection of the shards goin'?>

Treasure Town

Copahue -to Minty: <The siblings? You are meeting with Forte and Mezzo?>

Shahinne -remembers something: <Cold Eevee!> -- goes hide in Harriet's plumage.

Harriet -after thanking Fortis and Aeropolis for visiting: <Fly to the clouds? What's this about?>

Roc: <…Xatu? Haven't seen him since, well since I stayed with Silent.> -- waves a wing -- <It's good to hear, I know Teala and Algira had shards too, in case they're needed.>

The bird examines Tagg for a moment then looks a bit concerned, shakes his head.

Roc: <I'd like to hear more, not that I can't read it off your face, but, uhm… I kinda need advice. There have been some issues raising Shahinne and...> -- coughs, looks at Tagg -- <I wouldn't know who else to ask than someone from our team.>

Roc: <Well, it seems Harriet and Copahue want to make their own egg...> -- blinks -- <but I guess that's not what you mean. And hey there Muddy, I fell asleep during a te- ehm... during a breakfast.>

-Sighs-

Roc: <Ichtacya is trapped in the hospital, because she somehow got a [fire arrow] stuck on her butt. Lina's mons got the arrow. Helios and Algira were in Treasure Town until some time ago, then they disappeared, assume by a [shard]. It seems Shadow was kidnapped by somemon who is forcing him to work with them, but I promised to tell nothing beyond that.> -- waves his crest -- <Some nasty mons were putting fake job notices, festering on rescue teams and pinning the blame on a Swalot family, they almost nomed Shahinne too, but Salamence and I took care of that. After showcasing the Rhydon tooth, Roc lowers his head.

Roc: <Beating those nasty thugs got us a large chest with money on our talons. In theory the Guild would collect it but that Chatot is a prick... and, uhm...> -- raises his head -- <Shahinne has grown more vain since we got it, she wants to spend it and buy all sorts of stuff that she is too young to have. <Nice tooth.>

-Puts my hand to my chin-

<Anyway, I think we all know keeping blood money is bad. Makes us no better than those dirty poachers killing mons for their parts.>

Muddy: <It sounds like you need to speak to your daughter about why you can't spend that money.>

Dream World

Roc stares at Muddy with a sterner than usual expression.

Roc: <That's what I did, I told her, I admonished, but it doesn't seem to sink in. Muddy she swims in a blood money chest…> -- bristles feathers -- <She inherited cheerful from somewhere, oh and selfish and self-centered too…> -- shakes head, glares at Muddy -- <Not from me, hmph.>

To Tagg:

Roc: <I haven't really thought about how to handle that money. Tossing it somewhere or trying to split it will only cause more issues.> -- folds his wings -- <I could try to locate the families in any case, because I don't know if this verse has anything that works like charity. But before anything I need to have Shahinne understand.>

Notices something in earlier dialogue.

Roc: <O-oh and… Y-you guys are back at Angela? How badly are things going there in a scale from Lanius to Napoleon?>

Re: PMD Returns: stories of PMD-A and PMD-B

Muddy: <The cheerfulness is probably something she got from Ditto, and also she's kinda young. She just may not be able to quite understand why that's wrong. Man I suck at being a father.>

-To Roc-

<Besides what Muddy said, if you want to make her understand, you might want to tell her some stories from the old days. The others might disagree, but sometimes the best lesson is a harsh one.

-Summarizes our experiences in PMD-B up to Angela-

<As for Angela, I'd say probably a level below Lanius, but that's still pretty bad. Place is even more of a shithole than when humans were still around in large numbers. We'll be busting a crime lord tomorrow.>

Roc -sighs: <I-I guess, yeah. Perhaps I should not be this demanding with her, I mean... it's not like Copahue and Harriet are doing a bad job. I know, right? But hey, you'll be OK. Welcome to the group.> -- brushes Muddy's head.

Roc thinks for a moment about Shahinne and about the chest, then returns his attention to more plot-pressing matters.

Roc: <Darn, busting a crime lord and I'll miss it. I guess you'll be all right, just don't let yourself be taken by surprise Tagg.> -- nods -- <Thanks for the advice you two. I'll see that Shahinne gets the right idea. I guess we'll be seeing you when you come collect our shard then? And tell Helios I said "hey, I'm all right".>

Bluescale Arena Crowd

A Gengar is watching some of the battles and looking Psychic Pokémon to poke, just for fun. Not that the battles are not fun, but Fey is the kind of Pokémon who finds joy in letting other Pokémon know when they're weak to her types.

Fey♀: <Oh I wonder when will my turn come?> -- examines her ticket -- <It seems in a couple of hours more [spoiler]because of real life. Good thing that prick Valatos didn't come along~>

Re: PMD Returns: stories of PMD-A and PMD-B

Fey walks around while drinking a Margarita with a straw. Where did she got it from, no clue. She doesn't care either - her expenses are covered by the trading groups.

Fey: <...Perhaps I should not be drinking before my battle?> -- sips more.

Bluescale Arena

After her battle is announced, Fey hands over the margarita cup to a valet (actually probably one of the town elders who she has just shrugged off...), tells him to keep the change and steps on to the platform.

Fey: <Oooooh this promises to be fun. I'm against a dragon, one though-looking at that!> -- waves a paw at Stratus and grins machiavellically (well,like a Gengar) -- <Hey there, I'm Fey~>

467

Re: PMD Returns: stories of PMD-A and PMD-B

And the battle commences!

Fey stands in her place, and while still grinning comments on how some Pokémon assume that just because they can exert power they can defeat their opponents.

Fey: <Let's see you exert against this!> -- Double Teams herself, then both Gengars chain into a Mega Kick, one sliding (ala Bison) and the other a rushing one.

Re: PMD Returns: stories of PMD-A and PMD-B

(After this post)

Both of the Gengars miss their target by a body and change (Dragonite are fast fliers). They look up and grin again.

Feys: <Okay, I admit, I like poking mons, that's why I'm chasing you. So, let's see...>

Both Gengars start levitating, chasing slowly at Stratus. Both of them try to get at him from different angles (one from below, the other aiming at the wings) with a Fire Punch.

Re: PMD Returns: stories of PMD-A and PMD-B

While flying after the Dragonite and trying to land some attacks, Fey is Thunder Wave'd for her efforts. She shrieks in pain and the Double Team clone vanishes. Fey stands floating in the air, trying to move, gracefully and slowly falling down and "phasing away".

Fey: <Ugh… this I did not expect! Well... I'll have to be less direct and more suggesting!>

Fey clamps her hands and starts rubbing them, producing some sort of psychic ectoplasm that she aims at Stratus.

Fey tries to use Psywave!

Fey: <Ugh-> -- shudders, phases away more.

But she's Paralyzed

Re: PMD Returns: stories of PMD-A and PMD-B

While Fey has lost the opportunity to attack, Stratus doesn't lose his and Dragon Pulse's her from a higher altitude. The sphere divebombs at Fey, and while she tries to further phase out in an attempt to evade the attack, there's not much she can do. She is hit and shrieks in pain, letting go much of her energy, while sent flying a good distance.

Fey: <Whoaaaaaaaaaaaa~> -- tries to rematerialize -- <O-ouch...>

Fey realizes she's falling short on energy, fast. Not only that, she's getting an increasing urge to go to the bathroom.

Fey: <Yup, I was right about the Margarita. I need to do something if I want to win… perhaps it's time to try a less common trick?>

Managing to materialize herself, Fey grins again, collects her strength and levitates trying to draw a path towards the Dragonite, though not letting out an attack yet.

471

Re: PMD Returns: stories of PMD-A and PMD-B

Stratus readies an attack. Fey stops grinning and focuses – if she wants to score a good hit, this is her chance.

Suddenly, she starts phasing away, which kills her weight and air resistance / drag.  Paws extended, she levitates at a higher speed right up at Stratus's face, intending to face her attack. All the while, her eyes start shining a faint yellow color and she starts muttering an incantation called "Life Down" that helps cast away an opponent's combative energy.

(Does the spell work? Y/N)

Re: PMD Returns: stories of PMD-A and PMD-B

Gasp! Stratus lashes out at Fey with draconic power! The Gengar manages to reach and touch the Dragonite, but by the time she can impart the spell onto him, she's met with an emerald-flaming draconic power claw attack on her chest and gut.

Fey: <Ooooooof->

She loses her grip on Stratus and falls to the ground of the arena, badly shaken an in a half-phased status that leaves her half-merged into the arena grounds...

Fey: <@_@>

Fey has fainted!

Re: PMD Returns: stories of PMD-A and PMD-B

Bluescale, PMD-B

After having lost her battle against Stratus (and having spent some offscreen time in a bathroom), Fey is back in the audience section where she has been watching some of the battles - unfortunately she missed Lake v/s Nadia though. She hopes she can get some excitement by watching the finals to close a nice day nicely. Then she'll go around and try to find some interesting items to trade for [herbs].

She looks at her empty cup and then wags her fingers at the closest 'gator around (who, with her luck, is probably an elder or something).

Fey. <Hey you... why don't you bring me another Margarita? :3> -- lifts her cup.

Fey -blinks, then smiles wildly: <Oh my, what a rude gator. How do I get somemon who will bring me drinks then? Do I need to show some leg?> -- cackles and phases herself partly away.

Fey leans against her spot on the wall and waves a hand to the Feraligator.

Fey: <Fine, fine, sorry. At least it's good to see the peoplemons here are focused in their meat and circus. Instead of being distracted with whatever, you know...>

-She walks away to look for something to do before the finals begin.
