As it says on the tin, this is a thread for character test my temporary PC Locke, giving me a way to blow off steam when bored until the time comes to introduce him properly. As is also says on the tin, this thread is non-canon, but don't do anything that would derail things in-RP regardless.
-A man with long purple hair in a ponytail, dressed in blue, is looking up at the sky-
-Mitch walks over to the man in blue-
Mitch: "Whatcha looking at?"
-Locke doesn't move an inch-
Locke: Just thinking.
Mitch: Huh, you mind if i ask?
-Locke shakes his head slightly-
Locke: About the faraway land of Alola.
-Mitch raises an eyebrow momentarily-
"Alola huh? It must be nice to live in such a place."
-Locke still doesn't look at Mitch-
Locke: I... Don't live there, actually. I'm wondering about something said to be found there.
Mitch: "Hmm, you know why they call it "wondering?" because only "one" is doing it. Whats on your mind?"
-Locke finally turns toward Mitch and raises an eyebrow at the pun-
Locke: ...Never heard that one before. But I was thinking about Z-Power.
-OOC- I hope I'm handling this well
Mitch: Z-Power?
(You're fine.)
Locke: It's a power like Mega Evolution but that unlocks the hidden potential of a Pokemon's individual moves.
-Thanks-
Mitch: "That sounds... Interesting." -beat- "It's amazing what advances in science are able to do."
-Locke shook his head-
Locke: That's the thing, it's not science.
-Mitch raises an eyebrow-
Mitch: If it's not science...?
Locke: Apparently it requires a crystal similar to a Mega Stone in function.
Mitch: That's peculiar, I wonder how rare these crystals are... -He shakes his head- Ah, but alas we are not in Alola. By the way, what's your name?
Locke Locke. Yours?
Mitch: Mitch, I work in a smithy outside of Oreburgh. You want to know anything about the forging of metal, I'm your guy.
-Locke chuckles a bit-
Locke: That'd be useful if I had a sword or something... But all I've got is my Pokemon.
Mitch: You'd be surprised how useful the things that come out of a nice several thousand degree bath would be. For example
-He releases Heph out of his Pokeball-
Mitch: You see his horn? It was broken a couple of years ago, and it didn't grow back. So I took it upon myself to fix it. I drew up a rough idea, and got his OK with it. I then proceeded to file off his horn into a rounded shape, then stuck a metal cone over it, with the tip being solid steel. Now he's got a new horn, and I got to help a friend.
Locke: Hm, he certainly seems better off for it. Fortunately my Pokemon have never been in need of such assistance.
-he sends out a Swellow-
Mitch: Hmm, I take it you want a battle?
Locke: -shakes his head- No, not in the mood. Just wanted Kurow to stretch his wings.
Kurow: <Yo.>
Mitch: Oh, okay, if that's the case might as well let my friends stretch their legs.
-Mitch sends out Heph, Vulcan, and Ismo-
Vulcan: <Hi!>
-Locke sends out a Skarmory, Hawlucha, and Areodactyl-
Skarmory: <Hi!>
Hawlucha: <Greetings.>
Areodactyl: <Hmph.>
