Topic: WAAPT: The Musical!

So, just a silly idea I had, where we take WAAPT Characters, and implant them in musical selections from our favorite musicals. :P I'll start with "Madame of the House", Featuring Psyche and Crewe~

Psyche: My band of soaks, my pack of profligates
My dirty jokes, my always drunk as spits
My sons of whores spend their lives in my inn,
Homing Pidoves homing in
They fly through my doors,
And they crawl out on all fours

Welcome, Monsieur, sit yourself down
And meet the best innkeeper in town
As for the rest, all of 'em crooks:
Rooking their guests and crooking the books
Seldom do you see
Honest folks like me
A gal of good intent
Who's content to be

Madame of the house, doling out the charm
Ready with a handshake and an open palm
Tells a saucy tale, makes a little stir
Customers appreciate a bon-viveur
Glad to do a friend a favor
Doesn't cost me to be nice
But nothing gets you nothing
Everything has got a little price!

Madame of the house, keeper of the zoo
Ready to relieve 'em of a sou or two
Watering the wine, making up the weight
Pickin' up their knick-knacks when they can't see straight
Everybody loves a landlord
Everybody's bosom friend
I do whatever pleases
Jesus! Won't I bleed 'em in the end!

Madame of the house, quick to catch yer eye
Never wants a passerby to pass him by
Servant to the poor, butler to the great
Comforter, philosopher, and lifelong mate!
Everybody's boon companion
Everybody's chaperone
But lock up your valises
Jesus! Won't I skin you to the bone!

Food beyond compare. Food beyond belief
Mix it in a mincer and pretend it's beef
Kidney of a ‘Dash, liver of a cat
Filling up the sausages with this and that
Residents are more than welcome
Bridal suite is occupied
Reasonable charges
Plus some little extras on the side!
(Oh Santa!)

Charge 'em for the lice, extra for the mice
Two percent for looking in the mirror twice
Here a little slice, there a little cut
Three percent for sleeping with the window shut
When it comes to fixing prices
There are a lot of tricks I knows
How it all increases, all them bits and pieces
Jesus! It's amazing how it grows!

Crewe: (Oh, sorry love
Let's get something done about that)
I used to dream that I would meet a prince
But Arceus Almighty, have you seen what's happened since?

Madame of the house? Isn't worth my spit!
Comforter, philosopher' and lifelong shit!
Cunning little brain, regular Voltaire
Thinks she's quite a lover but she's not quite there
What a cruel trick of nature landed me with such a louse
Arceus knows how I've lasted living with this bastard in the house!

Madame of the house!
Mistress and a half!
Comforter, philosopher
Don't make me laugh!
Servant to the poor, butler to the great
Hypocrite and Froakie and inebriate!

Male Guests: Everybody bless the landlord!
Female Guests: Everybody bless her spouse!

Psyche: Everybody raise a glass
Crewe: Raise it up the Madame's arse
Everyone: Everybody raise a glass to the Madame of the House!

Re: WAAPT: The Musical!

And now the six merry murderesses of the Cyllage County Jail
In their rendition of 'The Cell Block Tango'

Pop! Six! Squish! Uh uh, Cicero, Lipschitz!
Pop! Six! Squish! Uh uh, Cicero, Lipschitz!
Pop! Six! Squish! Uh uh, Cicero, Lipschitz!

He had it coming, he had it coming
He only had himself to blame
If you'd have been there, if you'd have seen it
I betcha you would have done the same

Pop! Six! Squish! Uh Uh, Cicero, Lipschitz!

-a beautiful young raven-haired woman steps up. She seems pleasant enough, but right now, she’s rather indignant-

(Maria)

You know how people have these little habits
That get you down? Like Jacques!
Jacques liked to listen to music. No, not music, Nickleback!

Well, I finish the gardening one day
And I'm really irritated
and looking for a little sympathy,
and there's Jacques
Sitting on his chair, reading one of his morose plays, indulging in his music,
No, not music, Nickleback!
So, I said to him, I said
"You play one of their blasted songs..." and he did

So I took the Winchester off the wall
And I re-introduced him to the concept of Chekhov’s GUN.

He had it coming, he had it coming
He only had himself to blame
If you'd have been there, if you'd have heard it
I betcha you would have done the same

-a brunette steps up, now. Tall, determined looking, with some gold on her person (clearly wishing she had more-

(Belinda)

I met Eros Amorencia from Cyllage City about two years ago
And he told me he was single, we hit it off right away
So, we started living together
He'd go to work, he'd come home, I'd fix him a drink, we'd have dinner.
Then I found out, single he told me

Single, my ass!
Not only was he married, oh no, he had six wives.
One of those Kalosians, you know
So that night, when he came home from work
I fixed him his drink, as usual

You know, some guys just can't hold their arsenic

He had it coming, he had it coming
He took a flower in its prime
And then he used it and he abused it
It was a murder but not a crime

-a blonde, different to the one from before steps up. She appears visibly unhinged, twitching errantly and fiddling with her fingers as though trying to finger an invisible violin-

(Kyrie)

Now, I'm standing in the backyard
Skinnin' up the Swanna I caught
minding my own business
in storms my boyfriend Verax in a jealous rage
"You been screwin' that Paula"
He says
He was crazy and he kept on screaming
"You been screwin Paula!"
Then he ran into my knife
He ran into my knife ten times

If you'd have been there, if you'd have seen it
I betcha you would have done the same

-yet another blonde steps up; this one, however, is as pale as a ghost in regards to her hair and skin. She appears quite morose-

(Mathilde)

But yeah, did you do it?
Uh uh, not guilty

-a redhead, looking like Psyche save for a savage glint in her eye, steps up-

(Psyche)

My girlfriend, Sarah and I had this double act
And my brother, Richard traveled around with us

With the last number in our act
We did 20 acrobatic tricks in a row
One two three four five, splits, spread eagles
Back flips, flip flops one right after the other
Well, this one night before the show
We were down at the hotel in Cicero

The three of us, Boozin' and havin' a few laughs and we ran out of ice
So I went out to get some
I come back, open the door

There's Sarah and Richard
Doing number seventeen, the spread eagle

Well, I was in such a state of shock, I completely blacked out
I can't remember a thing, it wasn't until later
When I was washing the blood off my hands
I even knew they were dead

They had it coming, they had it coming
They had it coming all along
I didn't do it, but if I done it
How could you tell me that I was wrong?

They had it coming, they had it coming
They had it coming all along
I didn't do it, but if I done it
How could you tell me that I was wrong?

-a brunette, ghostly pale, tall and thin, steps up. She speaks in a heavy Kalosian accent, with detachment and some bitterness-

(Alys)

I loved that Juliet more than I could ever know, she was a very artistic girl, sensitive, a painter
But she was always trying to find herself
She would go out every night looking for herself

And on the way, she found Victoria, Terri, Valkyrie, and Constantin
I guess you can say we broke up because of artistic differences
She saw herself as alive and I saw her dead

The dirty bum, bum, bum, bum, bum
The dirty bum, bum, bum, bum, bum

They had it comin', they had it comin'
They had it comin' all along
'Cause if they used us and they abused us
How could they tell us that we were wrong?

He had it coming, he had it coming
He only had himself to blame
If you'd have been there, if you'd have seen it
I betcha you would have done the same

You play that song one more time

Single my ass

Ten times

Je ne sais pas pour quoi Oncle Sam dit que je l´ai fait.

Number seventeen, the spread eagle

Artistic differences

I betcha you would have done the same

Pop! Six! Squish! Uh uh, Cicero, Lipschitz!

Re: WAAPT: The Musical!

Now for my contributions~

Author’s Note: This song is based off the  Ballad of Mack the Knife from Bertolt Brecht’s Threepenny Opera (my favourite musical). The song is one of the more renowned songs from the play and has become the quintessential, jazzy Villain Sucks Song in which the singer compares the title character unfavorably to a shark (In this re-write Garchomp because Sharpedo is a few syllables too long).

This song is not sung by the title character but rather sung by Jenny the Whore or, in the original scripts, by a “Street Singer” who sole purpose in the play is to sing this song and it’s reprise at the end (akin to minstrels in Medieval Ballarde's). As such, I imagine this song to perhaps be sung by RP!Pippi or Lawrence.

The Ballad of Constantin’s Deadly Deeds (Villain Sucks Song - Sung by Lawrence de Nile):

See the Garchomp, teeth like razors
And he bears them, pearly white.
Constantin has but a jack-knife
And he keeps it, out of sight.

Here the Garchomp, claws a-gleaming
Strikes his victim, which he shreds.
Now ol’ Cons wears fancy gloves,
Which leave not a trace of red.

At the rivers' peaceful banks, dear
Battered bodies are sometimes found.
How these men all met their fate, dear?
That’s a “mystery” all around.

One blue Sunday back in Shalour
A foreign corpse lays, stiff as stone
When they questioned round ol’ Cons place
No-one answered. No-one’s home.

And Schmul Meier, who is missing
Like a number of wealthy men.
Constantin acquired his cash, dear.
God alone knows how or when.

Adèle Marceaux turned up lately.
With incisions through her breasts.
Constantin walks ‘long the pavement
Non-chalantly, unimpressed.

Where’s Ardeshir, the old cab man?
Who could get that story cleared?
All the world may know the answer.
Just Constantin has no idea.

And that ghastly fire in Lumiose?
Twenty squatters, up in flames.
In the crowd stands Constantin, but
He’s not asked and isn’t blamed.

Vicky Bolton, Julie Staley
Terri Jonson, Lady Boehm
Oh the line forms on the right, dears
Now that Cons is coming home

These may seem like horrid stories
But don’t be frightened or be upset
Yet he’s out there, in the daylight
And they haven’t caught him yet.

He’s a racist, he’s a sadist
And the haven’t caught him yet~

"Oh Bassy, I do love red the most. Hair, clothes, lipstick, I love them to be red. The more flamboyant a woman is, the more she's as beautiful as a poisonous flower, right?"

Re: WAAPT: The Musical!

Two in one day? I am on a roll~

My Favourite Things (Villain Song - Maria):

Uzis with full clips and whiskers on kittens,
Bright copper bullets and feeling so smitten.
Nu-mer-ous body bags, tied up with string,
These are a few of my favourite things.

Crème-coloured camo and shotguns with bullets.
Switchblades and grenades and shots through the gullet.
Ducking for cover and making them dance,
I pull the trigger whenever the chance!

Garrottings that give one those warm, fuzzy feelings
Bloodstains that stay on the walls and the ceiling
Snow covered bodies that don’t smell until spring
Putting boyfriends into casts and/or slings

When the dog fights, In my drug rings
Don’t bring in the cash,
I simply remember my favourite things…
And burn things down to ash~

"Oh Bassy, I do love red the most. Hair, clothes, lipstick, I love them to be red. The more flamboyant a woman is, the more she's as beautiful as a poisonous flower, right?"

Re: WAAPT: The Musical!

You know what, I'm on a roll today. Have another (A proper Villain Song for Cons as opposed the the Villain Sucks song The Ballard was)

Putting it Together (Villain Song - Constantin)

All right, Cons
As long as it's your night, Cons...
You know who’s in the room, Cons.
Potential “friends” a-bloom, Cons!
It's time to get to work...

Say "cheese!' Cons,
And put them at their ease Cons
You're up on the trapeze, Cons.
Machines don't grow on trees, Cons!
Start putting it together...

Art isn't easy-
Even when You're hot.
Advancing art is easy- (Yes!)
Financing it is not.
A vision's just a vision
If it's only in your head!
If no one gets to see it,
It's as good as dead!
If has to come to light!

Bit by bit,
Putting it together...
Piece by piece-
Only way to make a work of art.
Every moment makes a contribution,
Every little detail plays a part.
Having just a vision's no solution,
Everything depends on execution:
Putting it together-
That's what counts!

Ounce by ounce,
Putting it together...
Small amounts,
Adding up to make a work of art.
First of all you need a good foundation,
Otherwise it's risky from the start.
Takes a little “cocktail” conversation,
But without the proper preparation,
Having just a vision's no solution,
Everything depends on execution.
The art of making art
Is putting it together
Bit by bit...

Link by link,
Making the connections...
Drink by drink
Fixing and perfecting the design.
Adding just a dab of politician,
Always knowing when to draw the line
Lining up the funds but in addition
Lining up a prominent commission,
Otherwise your perfect “composition”
Isn't going to get much exhibition.

Art isn't easy!
Every minor detail
Is a major decision!
Have to keep things in scale,
Have to hold to your vision!
Every time I start to feel defensive,
I remember lasers are expensive!
What's a little cocktail conversation
If it gets the funds for your foundation?
Leading to a prominent commission,
And a fancy base in addition?

Dot by dot,
Building up the image.
Shot by shot,
Keeping at a distance doesn't pay.
Still, if you remember your objective,
Not give all your privacy away,
A little bit of hype can be effective,
Long as you can keep it in perspective.
After all, without some recognition
No one's going to give you a commission,
Which would cause a crack in the foundation,
You'd have wasted all that conversation!

Art isn't easy.
Overnight you're a trend,
You're the right combination!
Then the trend's at an end,
You're suddenly last year's sensation.

So you should support the competition,
Try to set aside your own ambition,
Even while you jockey for position...

If you feel a sense of coalition,
Then you never really stand alone.
If you want your work to reach fruition,
What you need's a link with your tradition,
And of course a prominent commission,
Plus a little formal recognition,
So that you can go on exhibit-
So that your efforts can go on exhibition!

Be nice, Cons...
You have to pay a price, Cons...
Put on an artifice, Cons!
Don't think about it twice Cons!
Just put it all together!

Be new, Cons.
They tell you till they're blue, Cons:
You're new or else you're through, Cons,
And even if it's true, Cons-
You do what you can do...

Bit by bit,
Putting it together.
Piece by piece.
Working out the vision night and day.
All it takes is time and perseverance,
With a little luck along the way,
Putting in a personal appearance,
Gathering supporters and adherents...

Mapping out the right configuration,
Starting with a suitable foundation...
Lining up a prominent commission-
And an exhibition in addition-
Here a little dab of politician-
There a little touch of publication-
Till you have a balanced composition-
Everything depends on preparation-
Even if you do have the suspicion
That it's taking all your concentration!

The art of making art
Is putting it together-
Bit by bit-
Link by link-
Drink by drink-
Mink by mink-
And that!
Is the state of the Art!

"Oh Bassy, I do love red the most. Hair, clothes, lipstick, I love them to be red. The more flamboyant a woman is, the more she's as beautiful as a poisonous flower, right?"

Re: WAAPT: The Musical!

Thought I'd might as well throw my hat into the ring.

Outsider's Eyes (Hypothetical Future - The Man in the Mask)

Distant honor, wasted grace
Twisted pawn, a face replaced
Phantom filter mask of dread
Damn the guilt, my past is dead

And I wait for the night,
Shadows protect me
Hide from the light
Cause to reject
These vain parasites
Time will reflect the
Pain in all your hearts

There are sad, sad faces, down under The Wall.
Where the Sickness rages with the weak and the poor
And a white-gold burden slows down my stri-de
With an outsider's ey-es

Swaddled in your silken sheets
Far above the hellish streets you're
Trapped inside your wealthy keeps
The doors locked shut while you're asleep

Cause this town's paranoid
Blinking and jumping
Down in the void
A slinking and stalking
Beast to avoid
The hiss of the pumps and
Pain in all your hearts

There are sad, sad faces, down under The Wall.
Where the Sickness rages with the weak and the poor
And a white-gold burden slows down my stride
With an outsider's eyes

Shades of the past in the tainted deeps
Tried to forget but it haunts my sleep
Keep moving on while the sick ones weep
Broken souls in mourning

There are sad, sad faces, down under The Wall.
Where the Sickness rages with the weak and the poor
And a white-gold burden slows down my stride
With an outsider's eyes
Cross rooftops high
With his eyes

Shades of the past in the painted deeps
Tried to forget but they haunt my sleep
Tears have run dry when I tried to weep
Broken soul, no mourning.

Re: WAAPT: The Musical!

Harsh Winter -- Echo

(Based on "Hellfire")

Oh, Mèng Huàn,
You know I am a righteous woman
Of my virtue I am justly proud,

Oh, Mèng Huàn,
You know I'm so much purer than
The common, vulgar, cruel, licentious crowd,

Then tell me, Mèng Huàn
Why they linger in my mind,
Why their memory still chills my soul,

I see them, I hear them,
The sun glinting on their icy eyes
Like the ice that has turned their hearts cold,

Like winter,
Harsh winter,
This bitter cold within,
This bone-chilling whisper
That tempts me toward my sins

It's not my fault (Shi wo de cuo),
I'm not to blame (Shi wo de cuo),
It is that murderer
Who's turning me insane,
(Zhen bu hao yi si)

It's not my fault (Shi wo de cuo),
It's in their genes (Shi wo de cuo),
That the tainted are
Much stronger than the clean,
(Zhen bu hao yi si)

Oh, change them, Mèng Huàn,
Don't let me give in to my fury,
Don't let the sheer cold freeze my soul,
Destroy those who fight us,
And change the world to one of purity
Even if I myself can't reach my goal,

Harsh winter,
Bleak winter,
Now, J-Team, join us, please,
Choose us or
You'll wither,
Join us or you will freeze!

Mèng Huàn, have mercy on them,
Mèng Huàn, have mercy on me,
But they will join us or they will freeze!

[Spectrum was here!]

Re: WAAPT: The Musical!

Apologies for this being a Pokemon Music Video instead of a proper musical but INSPIRATION. For best effect listen to the original by Imagine Dragons.

-Groudon steps out of a cave, swaying to a beat-

Groudon: If you love somebody

Better tell them while they’re here ’cause

They just may run away from you

-Kyogre surfaces nearby-

Kyogre: You’ll never know quite when, well

Then again it just depends on

How long of time is left for you

-Wallace, Steven, Brendan, and May enter-

Steven: I’ve had the highest mountains

Wallace: I’ve had the deepest rivers

May: You can have it all but life keeps moving

Brendan: I take it in but don’t look down...

-They all wave their hands/claws/flippers in the air as a montage of places in Hoenn plays in the background-

All: ‘Cause I’m on top of the world, ‘ay

I’m on top of the world, ‘ay

Waiting on this for a while now

Paying my dues to the dirt

I’ve been waiting to smile, ‘ay

Been holding it in for a while, ‘ay

Take you with me if I can

-Brendan and May are shown dragging the XY protags along-

Been dreaming of this since a child

I’m on top of the world.

-Sceptile, Blaziken, and Swampert enter-

Sceptile: I’ve tried to cut these corners

Try to take the easy way out

I kept on falling short of something

Swampert: I coulda gave up then but

Then again I couldn’t have ’cause

I’ve traveled all this way for something

Blaziken: I take it in but don’t look down...

-The montage plays again-

All: ‘Cause I’m on top of the world, ‘ay

I’m on top of the world, ‘ay

Waiting on this for a while now

Paying my dues to the dirt

I’ve been waiting to smile, ‘ay

Been holding it in for a while, ‘ay

Take you with me if I can

Been dreaming of this since a child

I’m on top of the world.

-Rayquaza, Latios, and Latias fly in-

Rayquaza: And I know it’s hard when you’re falling down

And it’s a long way up when you hit the ground

Get up now, get up, get up now.

Latios and Latias: And I know it’s hard when you’re falling down

And it’s a long way up when you hit the ground

Get up now, get up, get up now.

-Everybody starts dancing on top of the Sky Pillar-

All: ‘Cause I’m on top of the world, ‘ay

I’m on top of the world, ‘ay

Waiting on this for a while now

Paying my dues to the dirt

-The Regis are dancing robotically-

I’ve been waiting to smile, ‘ay

Been holding it in for a while, ‘ay

-Maxie and Archie are dancing together-

Take you with me if I can

Been dreaming of this since a child

-two boys are shown playing Ruby and Sapphire as kids-

-They are then shown playing OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire as adults-

I’m on top of the world.

Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire

Re: WAAPT: The Musical!

I didn't want to post this because I know I was going overboard with Villain songs for this guy. But Psyche demanded it so here it is.

Ol' Cons (From the Stage Version Beauty and the Beast - Gaston [Reprise])

Constantin: Odin, I'm afraid I've been thinking...
Odin: A dangerous pastime-
Constantin: I know~
But a wicked idea has come by me
And my sanity's only "so-so"

Now the wheels in my head have been turning
[This line depends on future plans, and thus will remain blank for now]
See, I've promised myself I'd get rid of those fools,
And right now I'm evolving a plan!

(Two discuss in whispers)

Constantin: See?
Odin: Of course!
Constantin: Well then, no time to lose!

Both: Let's go!

Both: No one plots like ol' Cons!
Constantin: Takes cheap shots like ol' Cons!
Odin: And persecutes meddling misfits like ol' Cons!

Constantin: Yes, I'm endlessly, wildly resourceful!
Odin: As down to the depths you descend!
Constantin: I won't even be mildly remorseful~
Both: Just as long as I (you) get what I (you) want in the end!

Constantin: Who has brains like ol' Cons?
Odin: Entertains like ol' Cons?
Both: Who can make up these endless refrains like ol' Cons?

Both: And our future well all soon be celebrating~
My what a guy, ol' Cons!

"Oh Bassy, I do love red the most. Hair, clothes, lipstick, I love them to be red. The more flamboyant a woman is, the more she's as beautiful as a poisonous flower, right?"

Re: WAAPT: The Musical!

OK, an explanation behind this one...

I initially wrote this to be included with the birthday present for my sister's current boyfriend, and both the present and the song reflect one thing: That I don't think he's nerdy enough and I want to make him into a nerd. After much positive response from my family (though deep down I suspect that they're merely overly impressed I can rhyme) I decided to post it here. Be warned it's not WAAPT-related and only Pokemon-related for one line.

Enjoy, and see if you can catch all the references:

To Be A Nerd

I see you with your sports games and first-person shooters

Your mainstream TV and your uncluttered computers,

And I weep for all of the sad missed potential,

Lack of new horizons, so very essential

But I very well know an end to your strife!

I’ll teach you, my boy, how a nerd lives his life!

You’ll play D&D and roll funny dice

Your Star Wars shirts will make people look twice

You’ll debate Harry X Ginny vs. Harry X Ron,

You’ll get those special editions before they’re gone

Tolkein and Lewis will soon be a snap,

(Just watch out for Twilight, definitely a trap)

Soon you’ll see why geek is the word,

I’ll teach you, my boy, how to be a nerd!

I’ll take you on a TARDIS ride,

Perhaps with some airbending on the side,

You’ll know exactly why Jojo is so bizarre,

And why Fluttershy is best pony by far

There’s more to Pokemon than just G1,

You’ll be fluent in Klingon by the time we’re done

Soon you’ll see why geek is the word,

I’ll teach you, my boy, how to be a nerd!

You’ll be reading Fullmetal Alchemist page-by-page

You’ll know why Homestuck trolls are all the rage

You’ll soon know that Samus is definitely a girl,

Who knows, maybe you’ll give Zelda a twirl

You’ll head to the future with Phillip J. Fry,

And see why Sherlock’s a pretty swell guy,

Soon you’ll see why geek is the word,

I’ll teach you, my boy, how to be a nerd!

My girlfriend is a Volcarona, your argument is invalid.

Re: WAAPT: The Musical!

I Dreamed a Dream - Les Miserables

A certain despondent Psychic is lying in the street, crying.

Psyche: There was a time when men were kind
When their voices were soft
And their words inviting
There was a time when love was blind
And the world was a song
And the song was exciting
There was a time
Then it all went wrong

I dreamed a dream in time gone by
When hope was high
And life worth living
I dreamed that love would never die
I dreamed that the world would be forgiving

Then I was young and unafraid
So dreams were made and used and wasted
There was no ransom to be paid
No song unsung
No wine untasted

But the demons come at night
With their voices soft as thunder
As they tear your hope apart
And they turn your dream to shame

I spent two summers by her side
She filled my days with endless wonder
She took my miseries in her stride
But she was gone when autumn came
And still I dream she'll come to me
That we will live the years together
But there are dreams that cannot be
And there are storms we cannot weather

I had a dream my life would be
So different from this hell I'm living
So different now from what it seemed
Now life has killed
The dream I dreamed

Re: WAAPT: The Musical!

And now for something completely different!

Paula -- They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa~

Remember when I caught you and
Your girlfriend came and took you, and
I said that if you left, I'd go berzerk?
Weeeeeeell...

You left me anyhow, and now
I went a little mad, because
I went and caught and hurt a volcano god!
And~

They're coming to take me away, ha-ha!
They're coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-ha,
To the sandy land! Where skies are sunny all day long,
And I'll be happy to see those cute li'l mons
And the sand and rocks, and
They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa~

You thought I was a monster, so
You laughed -- YOU LAUGHED! -- when I had said that
Losing you would make me flip my lid!
Right?

You know you laughed! I heard you laugh,
And in my dreams you laughed, and left!
And now you know I've gone way off the deep end!
Aaaand~

They're coming to take me away, ha-ha!
They're coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-haaa,
To the happy world! With dunes and cacti and nibbling critters
That run around and munch on fingers and toes, and
They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa~

You came here weak, I made you strong,
And this is how you paid me back
For all my kind, unselfish, loving deeds, huh?
Well, you just wait, they'll find you yet,
And when they do, they'll take you and
They'll break your mind again, you horrid bird!
Aaaaaaaaaaand~

They're coming to take me away, ha-ha!
They're coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-ha,
To the sandy land! Where skies are sunny all day long,
And I'll be happy to see those cute li'l mons
And the sand and rocks, and
They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa~
To the happy world! With dunes and cacti and nibbling critters
That run around and munch on fingers and toes, and
They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa~

Re: WAAPT: The Musical!

And even more different now

Lyuri and Duke - Drop Pop Candy

Lyuri:Brown
Duke:Blue
Both: Red

Umbrella at your side, it’s raining but you close it tight
“And how are you?” purred a Meowth just passing through
Those heels that you like are soaking, but is that alright?

Let out a sigh for another day the same as the last
Come on let’s try, dye it blue and change it up from the past
Reflecting up from a puddle but then gone in a flash
Is that the most that you can dream or wanted to see?

But look aroundDance up and down
The world is nowStill going ‘round
Just feel it poundWe’re skyward bound
Move at the
top - speed - of - sound

Running to another day, I wanna break away and take the leap
As you’re stuck on yesterday, no sun to rise would be okay with me
Every day, every day is okay
Taking it step by step, we’ll always move ahead
Our love is growing red, need me more, need you more
You fall down seven more times, I’ll be there seven, eight, nine
As we keep trying, we’ll find
we’re always singing the same tune!

Now falling to her side, the drops of rain that mix with light
Stealing a glance, hid a Purrloin who turns his back
Their heads starting to sink, this boredom is too hard to fight

Just spinning lies with the only thread of kindness we saved
Or if we’re blind and the truth is just a painting in grey
Drowning us out, all the noisy drops the fall in the rain
But fingertips traced every line and opened my eyes

I’ll paint it blueI’ll play a tune
I’m wishing tooFor something new
It will come trueWith me and you
And then we’ll
finally break through

Swimming through the Milky Way, I wanna break away and take the leap
Since we’re falling anyway, no moon to rise would be okay with me
Every night, every night is alright
Taking it step by step, we’ll always move ahead
Our love is growing red, need me more, need you more
Cry to me, know that I care - lean on me and I’ll be there
As we keep trying, we’ll find
you’re always gonna be there too!

Shining down on me, you’re my blue moon
Dreaming forever to find to now I’m awake
I need to find tomorrow, can you take me away
And go the
top speed of sound?

Running to another day, I wanna break away and take the leap
As you’re stuck on yesterday, no sun to rise would be okay with me
Every day, every day is okay
Taking it step by step, we’ll always move ahead
Our love is growing red, need me more, need you more
You fall down seven more times, I’ll be there seven, eight, nine
As we keep trying, we’ll find – you’re always gonna be there too!

We’re always singing the same tune!

Every day from now on.

Re: WAAPT: The Musical!

Xerneas & Yveltal -- Only Human

-Yvonne is sitting at a table, boredly arranging a number of models of various people, including the J-Team and their enemies. She boredly knocks down an effigy of Lucius, which is then righted by a blue figure looming over her. Yvonne glances up at her visitor, Xerneas, before sighing dejectedly and swatting the Lucius figure into a nearby pond. As it hits the water, a mockup of Petalburg City appears under the surface, with the Lucius miniature seemingly transforming into an animate miniature Lucius among the rest of the J-Team. Yvonne transforms back into her true, death-bird form and peers over the water wistfully.-

[Yveltal]
Look at how they crawl around
Upon the ground
Like mere Durants...

[Xerneas]
Yes, but how they fascinate,
Confusing fate
With what is merely chance.

[Yveltal]
Isn’t it a laugh?

[Xerneas]
Isn’t it a shame?

[Yveltal]
Thinking there is someone in heaven to blame!

[Xerneas]
Yes, but even while blaming fate for the lives that they lead,
They hope for the lives that they need

[Yveltal]
Living every day ‘til the day they die!
Never getting answers!

[Xerneas]
Yet still asking why...
Going through the motions as if there will be a reward...

[Yveltal]
While we stay eternally bored!

[Yveltal & Xerneas]
They’re only human
They don’t see
Who they are is who they’ll always be
Only human, after all

[Yveltal]
So they push and they shove

[Xerneas]
With this thing they call love

[Yveltal & Xerneas]
‘Til they fall!

[Yveltal]
Isn’t it a farce?

[Xerneas]
Isn’t it a waste?

[Yveltal]
Struggling to face what can never be faced

[Xerneas]
Yes, but maybe death can release something more than we share

[Yveltal]
I really don’t know and don’t care

[Yveltal & Xerneas]
They’re only human
Standing still
Doomed to live pushing boulders uphill
Only human, after all

[Yveltal]
So they give and they take

[Xerneas]
Hoping someone will help break their fall

[Yveltal]
They will pray, curse, live die
Never knowing their truth is another man’s lie

[Xerneas]
Eat, sleep, love, hate
Like a leaf blowing in the wind

[Yveltal]
Watch them all vacillate!

[Yveltal & Xerneas]
They’re only human
They can’t see

[Yveltal]
All the years they could give you and me

[Yveltal & Xerneas]
Only human, after all

[Xerneas]
So they give and we take

[Yveltal]
‘Til their silly hearts break

[Xerneas]
Looking down from above
I’m intrigued by their love

[Yveltal]
So let’s call!

Re: WAAPT: The Musical!

One Jump Ahead - Aladdin

Psyche and Crewe (in Sneasel Form) dodging through Nimbasa City, blipping just around guards, carrying a bag full of bread and PokePuffs.

[Psyche:] Gotta keep
One jump ahead of the breadline
One swing ahead of the sword
I steal only what I can't afford
( That's Everything! )

-blip!-

One jump ahead of the lawmen
That's all, and that's no joke
These guys don't appreciate I'm broke

[Crowd:] Riffraff! Street rat! Scoundrel! Take that!

[Psyche:] Just a little snack, guys
[Crowd:] Rip her open, take it back, guys
[Psyche:] I can take a hint, gotta face the facts
You're my only real friend, Crewe!
[Crowd:] Who?
Oh it's that Psyche's hit the bottom.
She's become a one-girl rise in crime
I'd blame parents except she hasn't got 'em
[Psyche:] Gotta eat to live, gotta steal to eat
Tell you all about it when I got the time!

One jump ahead of the slowpokes
One skip ahead of my doom
Next time gonna use a nom de plume
One jump ahead of the hitmen
One hit ahead of the flock
I think I'll take a stroll around the block

[Crowd:] Stop, thief! Vandal! Cr-ewe! Scandal!

[Psyche:] Let's not be too hasty
[Lady:] Still I think she's rather tasty
[Psyche:] Gotta eat to live, gotta steal to eat
Otherwise we'd get along
[Crowd:] Wrong!

[Psyche:] One jump ahead of the hoofbeats
(Vandal!)
One hop ahead of the hump
(Street rat!)
One trick ahead of disaster
(Scoundrel!)
They're quick, but I'm much faster
(Take that!)
Here goes, better throw my hand in
Wish me happy landin'
All I gotta do is jump

Re: WAAPT: The Musical!

You're A Good Kid, Meddler
Sung to the tune of the opening number from You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQhApYSgkOU

[SALLY]
I really don't think you have anything
to worry about, Meddler. After all, science
has shown that a person's character isn't really
established until she's at least five years old.

[KNUCKLES (overlapping)]
The only thing wrong with my trainer,
Meddler, is her lack of confidence; her
inferiority and lack of confidence. Her clumsiness,
her inferiority, her lack of confidence. Her stupidity
her clumsiness, her inferiority and her lack of
confidence, her...

[BENNY (overlapping)]
Did you know that Meddler has never pitched
a winning baseball game, never been able to keep
a kite in the air, never won a game of checkers and
never successfully punted a football? Sometimes I
marvel at her consistency.

[VIOLET (overlapping)]
Now Meddler has what you call a
Failure Face, Kirby. Notice how it has failure
written all over it. Study it carefully. You rarely
see such a good example.

[MEDDLER (overlapping)]
Some days I wake up early to watch the sunrise, and
I think how beautiful it is, and how my life lies
before me, and I get a very positive feeling about
things. Like this morning for instance; the sky's
so clear and the sun's so bright. How can anything
go wrong on a day like this?

-ALARM CLOCK RINGS-

I'm late!

[KIRBY]
Eek!

[ALL (except Meddler)]
You're a good kid, Meddler
You're the kind of reminder we need
You have humility, nobility and a sense of honor that is very
Rare indeed.

[KIRBY]
Eek!

[OTHERS]
You're a good kid, Meddler
And we know you will go very far

Yes it's hard to believe
Almost frightening to conceive
What a good kid you are.

[BENNY]
You are kind!

[OTHERS]
You are kind to all the pokemon
And every little bird
With a heart of gold
You believe what you're told...

[VIOLET]
Every single solitary word.

[OTHERS]
You bravely face adversity
You're cheerful through the day
You're thoughtful
Brave and courteous

[VIOLET]
And you also have some faults
But for the moment let's just say

[OTHERS]
That you're a good kid, Meddler
You're a prince
And a prince could be king
With a heart such as yours
You could open any doors
You could go out and do anything
You could be King Meddler!
You could be king!

[MEDDLER]
Everybody says to me:

[OTHERS]
You're a good kid, Meddler!

[MEDDLER]
Every voice in harmony:

[OTHERS]
You're a good kid, Meddler!

[MEDDLER]
All I need is one more try
Gotta get that kite to fly
And I'm not the kind of guy
Who gives up easily
Wonder why they stop to say:

[OTHERS]
You're a good kid, Meddler!

[MEDDLER]
Never liked me, anyway:

[OTHERS]
You're a good kid, Meddler!

[MEDDLER]
Trying not to rock the boat,
Not to make a scene!
A good kid? Yes.
But I confess,
I don't know what they mean.

I wanna rise like I should
And do everything right
But I lie awake at night...

[OTHERS]
Oooh
Never sleep

[MEDDLER]
With questions in my ear

[OTHERS]
Oooh
Loud and deep

[MEDDLER]
I want to join the dance

[OTHERS]
Oooh
Take the leap

[MEDDLER]
But the answer isn't clear.
Than I hear:

[OTHERS]
Meddler... Meddler...
You're a good kid, Meddler
You're a good kid, Meddler

[BENNY]
Get on the bus!

[VIOLET]
Get on the bus!

[SALLY]
Go ahead, get on the bus, Meddler!

[KNUCKLES]
Don't wanna be late for school!

[OTHERS]
That's right!

[MEDDLER]
Don't wanna be late!

[ALL]
Don't wanna be late for school!

[KIRBY]
Eek!

[OTHERS]
You're a good kid,
Meddler!

[MEDDLER]
There they go again

[OTHERS]
You're the kind
Of reminder we need

[MEDDLER]
Don't know what they mean

[OTHERS]
You have humility,

[MEDDLER]
I'm not good,

[OTHERS]
Nobility,

[MEDDLER]
I'm not bad

[OTHERS]
And a sense of honor
That is very rare indeed

[MEDDLER]
I'm somewhere
In between

[KIRBY]
Eek!

[OTHERS]
You're a good kid,
Meddler

[MEDDLER]
I don't understand

[OTHERS]
You're a prince
And a prince could be king
With a heart such as yours
You could open any doors
You could go out
And do anything
You could be King, Meddler
You could be King!

[MEDDLER]
"Nothing lasts forever"

[OTHERS]
You could be king

[MEDDLER]
"All good things must end"

[OTHERS]
Believe it

[MEDDLER]
I've memorized
That phrase by heart.

[OTHERS]
And you were born for this heart

[MEDDLER]
So tell me,

[OTHERS]
You're a good kid,

[MEDDLER]
I need to know it...

[OTHERS]
You're a good kid,
Meddler!

[MEDDLER]
When do the
Good things start?

[VIOLET/BENNY]
You're a good kid,
Meddler

[SALLY/KNUCKLES]

Bravely facing
Adversity
You can open up

[KIRBY]
Oh, You're a good kid

[VIOLET/BENNY]
You're a good kid,
Meddler

[ALL]
You're a good kid,
Meddler!

Re: WAAPT: The Musical!

Re: You're A Good Kid, Meddler
[KEYS] -popping in from stage left- (spoken)
<If only she wasn't so wishy-washy.>

This was something that I've kicked around for while now: It involves a gender modified version of "My Strongest Suit" from Aida, but with the tempo and visuals more in-line with the play's.

-Ren has been told to get ready for a major event. Ren calls out Seamstress, Rio, Erik, and Christine are helping him prepare. Mendel and his team arrive early to pick up Ren and co. After some dialogue, Mendel asks the question...

Mendel: But is really necessary to go through all this?

-Ren turns to Mendel  as the music starts up.-

[REN]
In life one has to face a huge assortment
Of nauseating fads and good advice
There's health and fitness, diet and deportment
And other pointless forms of sacrifice

Conversation, wit, (hah!) I am a doubter
Manners, charm, they're no way to impress
So forget the inner me, observe the outer
I am what I wear and how I dress

Now I believe in looking
Like my time on earth is cooking
Whether polka-dotted, stripes, or even checks
With some glamour guaranteeing
Every fiber of my being
Is displayed to quite remarkable effect

[REN and (REN'S MON)]
From your cradle via trousseau (ahhhh)
To your death bed you're on view so
Never compromise, accept no substitute (ahh)
I would rather wear a barrel (ahhhh)
Than conservative apparel
For dressing always been my strongest suit (ahh-ah!)

[REN'S MON, two groups]
Normal wear (Overwear), formal wear (underwear), anytime, anywhere

[REN and (REN'S MON)]
Staying in or hitting townwards, (Normal wear! Formal wear!)
From the top and working downwards (Any time! Anywhere!)
I ensure that every stitch is stitched in time (It's stitched in time)
Whether wig or hat or turban, (oooooh)
Whether clad boudoir or urban (oooooh)
Not to strut your stuff outrageously is a crime (It's such a crime)

And the few who are invited (oooooh invited)
To my wardrobe are delighted (aaaaah delighted)
As they wander through my things to find en route (You'll find en route)
That in negligee or formal (ooooh formal)
I am anything but normal (aaaah normal)
Dressing has always been my strongest suit

[REN'S MON and (REN)]
Normal wear, formal wear, anytime, anywhere
Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere (I am what I wear!)
Normal wear, formal wear, anytime, anywhere
Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere (Any time and Anywhere!)

Now you don't need a recital
Of the reasons why it's vital
That tonight my wrapings will not be subdued
That with a cummerbund or sandals
It would be an utter scandal
That I would only make an impact if I was nude

So bring me all my finest,
Most audacious, my divinest
Most revealing, most expensive and to boot
(Most arresting?) Most arresting! (Most heart-stopping?) Most heart-stopping!
Most free-flowing, most eye-popping
Most arresting, most heart-stopping, yeah!
'Cause dressing has always been my strongest suit!

(I. Am. What I wear!) My strong suit
(I. Am. What I wear!) My strong suit
You know that I. Am. What I wear!
Dressing has always been my strongest suit!

-The music crescendos the stops for what seems to be the end of the number, but the music starts back up for a music break where mirrors lower and Christine and Erik use Teleport to instantly change Ren's outfit, allowing him to check himself in the mirror before swapping the outfit again. (Production Note: All the test outfits will never be used in any other scene, nor will the test outfits be the same in any two shows.) This continues until Ren signals for only a dress shirt and slacks to be placed on him, opting to chose his outfit himself. The mirrors close around Ren, then steps out a moment later having quick-changed into a stunning outfit without Erik and Christine's help.-

[REN and (THE REST)]
So bring me all my finest, (The finest!)
Most audacious, my divinest (Divinest!)
Most revealing, most expensive and to boot (Most revealing, most expensive)
Most arresting, most heart-stopping
Most free-flowing, most eye-popping
'Cause dressing has always been my strongest suit!

(I. Am. What I wear!) My strong suit
(I. Am. What I wear!) My strong suit
You know that I. Am. What I wear!
Dressing has always been my strongest
My strongest
My strongest
My strongest
My strongest
My strongest suit!

-The music crescendos into an explosion of glitter cannons, ending the number.-

We shall defeat legions of Cipher Peons... by performing an elaborate musical number!
