Jacob: Blitz, that... actually might work. Though if I get near her I'm going to explode from the heat, so you should go.
The heat would kill him too, Water type or not. Better we throw up a Safeguard and do it together.
Jacob: Safeguard protects us from the heat? Huh. Interesting application. Should have realized but... okay. Yeah, have Lepi throw up another and we'll go check on her.
Shinobi: <I don't mind trying to feed the cranky-hungry pokemon, but I'd rather not get fried by magma before I can even get there!>
-The Heatran finally reaches the top of the chimney - she looks around in anger, frustration, and fatigue. Her mouth hangs slightly ajar, a dead giveaway that she is likely spent.-
Heatran: <I should have... aimed for that knave's... head...>
Well to be more exact this is a stronger variant that the usual kind but anyway...
Lepi: -Uses Safeguard-
Jacob: Okay... now our next problem is just scaling the volcano and talking to an enraged, tired, and probably unstable Heatran. ... Who wants to go first?
-The Greninja raises a webbed hand-
Shinobi: <You know I can stick to walls and ceilings, right?>
-He puts the leather bag holding his mon and supplies over a shoulder and prepares to quickly scale the rocky surface-
-Or, as quickly as possible while staying in range of the Safeguard-
Jacob: -Hops on Argentum and rides up to the Heatran-
-The Heatran is now trying to spin around to find where the airship has gone. She's gone from volcanically-angry to frazzled.-
-It's not an airship, but there is a Greninja a respectful distance away and waving to get her attention-
Shinobi: <Hey! Uh, Heatran. Can we talk for a second?>
-Once it turns around, he pulls out a hand full of berries and Poke Puffs-
-Jacob is sitting back a safe distance and watching with curiosity-
-The Heatran turns to Shinobi.-
Heatran: <You! WHERE IS THE HALF-MAN?!>
-The temperature around her begins to rise, though not nearly as quickly as before.-
-The Greninja tried not to sound nervous. Sounding nervous never helps with these things-
Shinobi: <Uh... I don't know.... But we're going to look for him! Zrone's caused plenty of trouble for us already>
-But usually he wasn't actually having a conversation when these sort of situations happened at the daycare.-
-Gogie, after being unfrozen, is carrying Akim'bleer and Crow on his back while Sundancer flies nearby-
-The Heatran lets out a grunt that can only be described as halfway between "disgusted" and "disappointed".-
Heatran: <Damned human... No, not even... he is more machine than man... Either way.>
-After a moment she sniffs.-
Heatran: <... What's that smell?>
Shinobi: <I thought you might be hungry now that machine-man is gone, so I brought some food>
-He gives a little froggy smile-
<Have you ever had poke puffs?>
