Bartelby: -shifts to Mew-

-icily- Prime.

My girlfriend is a Volcarona, your argument is invalid.

Re: Tabletop Night with Mew

Mauville Center

-Crow notices the up-down staircase-

Honchcrow: <Huh.>

Ghostus: <Not going to be able to convince you to get out of this one?>

Honchcrow: <Nope!>

-Ghostus sighs and follows Crow as he heads up, then down-

MoN Basement

-Ghostus hears the Not-Yet-Canon Poison Legendary's Outburst-

Ghostus: <...Still not?>

Honchcrow: <Nah, this seems fun.>

-He then notices Mew- <Oh, hey, Mew. You the 'GM?' And what's this about character sheets?>

Re: Tabletop Night with Mew

-Diane arrives, and prepares to draw up a character sheet.-

-This is when it occurs to her that she has exactly zero idea what she's doing, due to a severe lack of tabletop experience.-

[Spectrum was here!]

Re: Tabletop Night with Mew

MoN Basemeent

-to the other mons around-

Moon Demon / Poison Legendary: <...You are here looking to get favors from a feline mon, too?>

-to the Mew, while idly examining an empty character sheet-

Poison Legendary: <I was told I could talk to you about getting some special services. What's this game thing about?>

Re: Tabletop Night with Mew

Mauville Center

Blitz:  "To be honest,  I just got asked to get people together for this.  But yes, downstairs"

-He starts to head down the transdimensional staircase-

MoN Basement

-Blitz freezes at the outburst from upstairs as the Moon Demon comes down-

"Um, sorta?"

-And suddenly Bartelby is a Mew too-

"...  Yeah, I have no idea what's going on anymore..."

Re: Tabletop Night with Mew

Basement

Selene: EEP!

-Selene jumps away from the Moon Demon, looking rather shaken. Satele is at a loss for words for the recent developments.-

32

Re: Tabletop Night with Mew

Basement

-The "Moon Demon" Legendary shuffles at the sight of the mons being scared of him-

Poison Legendary: <Huh... still got that charm.> -- blinks at Selene, coughs -- <Ahem, sorry. My social skills are a bit rusty, I don't really get out much.>

-That's quite an understatement-

Thou hast forgotten the face of thy Lord. Remember, mortal, and fear pet me.

Re: Tabletop Night with Mew

Mew: I'll be honest, this is my first time GM-ing~

-to the Poison Legendary- This game is a quest thingy; the winner of the game gets a favor from me. So there's a weird tension of cooperation to suceed and the competition of the single winner! That makes a good quest according to this book.

Apparently, tabletop gaming has people create characters, fictional personas to portray the actions of amid the game's scenario. So we're making those up now before starting the game proper! And hi Barty!

Mauville

Duke doesn't really say anything, he just goes along with it all.

"So, making a character huh..." he said, looking fairly lost.

Re: Tabletop Night with Mew

Jason:That's the gist of it!

-Holds up his sheet.-

Uhm...ready when you all are?

Lots of books...and so...so many...weird things...

Re: Tabletop Night with Mew

MoN Basement

Honchcrow: -to Mew- <Oh, okay.>

<Hm...>

-to Ghostus- <Any idea what sort of character to make?>

Ghostus: <I don't know. Maybe if you keep asking the team, you'll be able to come up with something.>

Honchcrow: <Great idea!>

Ghostus: <...I didn't mean tha->

-Thirteen opening and closing of Pokeballs and one almost opening, but reconsidering later...-

Honchcrow: <Hm...>

<How would I make a Hunter Aerodactyl that stuns his prey with his screams?>

Re: Tabletop Night with Mew

MoN Basement

Not-yet-canon Poison Legendary: <Wait, so...> -- tilts head(s?) -- <it's a sort of friendly competition where only one of us gets something, and if it is me who  beats all these mons> -- points to the others nonchalantly -- <then I can finally be free? Not to mention canon again?>

-thinks for a moment, shrugs (or an equivalent thereof)-

<I'll take it for the fun. It's a party, right? At least it'll be funnier than my last thirty or so years of life.>

-And goes sit somewhere to start working on his character sheet-

<I always wanted to be a bard or a troubaour when I was little. So I guess I'll throw that in.> -- scribbles some things down -- <And a machinegun. Because you can never go wrong with one.>

-continues working for a moment, seems to have hit a block-

<...Anyone?> -- somewhat sheepishly for a Legendary of its kind -- <What is a "Constitution" stat?>

Thou hast forgotten the face of thy Lord. Remember, mortal, and fear pet me.

Re: Tabletop Night with Mew

MoN Basement

Selene: Oh, this is gonna be fun!

-Selene gets to work.-

Selene: Hmmm... Hey, Satele. Should I be a priest or a druid?

-Satele rolls her eyes.-

Satele: <Why not a Cheddar Monk?>

Selene: I have no idea how that would work. Priestess it is!

Re: Tabletop Night with Mew

MoN Basement

Blitz:  "Well, I guess you could try making a monk or some sort of martial artist, since you kind of already are one, Duke.  I actually have no idea what kind of character I'm going to make yet"

-He shrugs, and starts picking up a few books-

-To the Poison-Legendary-Moon-Demon-Thing-  "It has to do with how hard you are to kill"

-He scratches his head for a moment-

"Say, do you have a name besides 'Moon Demon'...?"

40

Re: Tabletop Night with Mew

MoN Basement

"Monk sounds good enough for me." said Duke.

Re: Tabletop Night with Mew

MoN Basement

Poison Legendary: <Hard to kill...> -- thinks for a moment -- <well, it *is* a bard who has good enough complexion to both sing and carry a machinegun.>

-jolts some numbers down, goes to the next stats-

<You shall be [Evasrisch the Acclaimed Singer] then. Those who hear your tales acclaim you, lest they taste bullets~>

-after hearing inquiry-

<Oh, well,> -- to Blitz, nods -- <yeah I do have a name, you can call me [REDACTED].>

Thou hast forgotten the face of thy Lord. Remember, mortal, and fear pet me.

Re: Tabletop Night with Mew

MoN Basement

Selene: Let's see... High wisdom, moderate charisma... high dexterity... Eh, looks like Strength is my dump stat... Race?

Satele: What?

Selene: It's asking me for a race. I have no idea what to make my priestess.

Satele: Maybe... human?

Selene: Booooring! Dwarves just don't gel with me, I don't do gnomes, or halflings...

Satele: Elves?

Selene: There are loads of different subraces! I don't know which one to pick!

44

Re: Tabletop Night with Mew

-Meanwhile, Mew is making some last-minute notes behind her GM screen-

???: I've already decided on my character!

Bonfire: They're a Zombie Charizard. With a peg leg, so I could use the points to get a head start on making their virus airborne!

Oh, by the way, I brought cookies! Eat all you like, people are clicking too many these days @_@

Re: Tabletop Night with Mew

-Crow is currently trying to fill out his sheet-

Honchcrow: -to Selene- <Based on what you're suggesting, what about a Clefairy?>

<Uh, though, I'm not sure if I'm getting this quite right? And dunno if I'm the only one?>

Re: Tabletop Night with Mew

Selene: But that's as boring as humans for me! I already know how Clefairy work.

Satele: <What about this one?>

Selene: Wha?

-Satele points to an option in the Eberron Player's Handbook - the Warforged.-

Selene: Isn't that more Deziree's thing?

Satele: <Well, yeah, I guess... It's that, or a changling.>

Selene: ... Changling?

-Selene flips through the book some more.-

Re: Tabletop Night with Mew

MoN Basement

One of the cheap, self printed handbooks for Call of Cthulhu starts rustling, as it appears that the ink is leaking out of the pages.

"Oh Bassy, I do love red the most. Hair, clothes, lipstick, I love them to be red. The more flamboyant a woman is, the more she's as beautiful as a poisonous flower, right?"

Re: Tabletop Night with Mew

MoN Basement

Blitz:  "That's...  An interesting name"

-He returns to flipping through some of the books in search of something a little more original than just making a ninja before he noticed the rustling, inky book nearby-

"Huh?"

Re: Tabletop Night with Mew

MoN Basement

Beams of black burst out from the book pages as a familiar, squiddy lady.

Noir: I'M BACK BICTHES

She slinks back onto one of the bookcases.

Noir: So I hear yer givin out favours for a game of D plus D, or, whatever tabletop game you have open for the moment, and I want in

She glares and chuckles meancingly at Blitz.

Noir: Is frog boy here to barter for the cure of his unique problem instigated by moi~?
