Squire Pent?: Well ah've never met him personally so... Not really? Why ya asking?
Garuda: I am Garuda. There is a discrepancy between the knowledge presented and the knowledge that should be. I am here to audit, in a way.
-Deziree shakes her hair in an attempt to get the burs out, though it only serves to tangle her hair even more.-
Deziree: Oh, hello there!
-Deziree tries to brush her tangled hair out of her eyes, which is only mildly successful.-
Deziree: Watcha need?
-Dune finds a flower nearby.-
Dune: Teal petals... and thorns. Nope, that's not it.
-Dune looks over at the white-haired boy and mercenary.-
Dune: Hey, have any of you seen a blue flower without thorns around here? Looks like an orchid?
Munn: Could you be more speci-
Joseph: Talador flower? Right here.
-he touches the ground with his toe, and a flower blooms-
Joseph: Ask its permission before you pick it, though.
-Dune looks down at the flower, then back up at Joseph, then back at the flower.-
Dune: ... Ooooooh. You must be a fairy. Uh, okay.
-Dune kneels down.-
Dune: Uh, Talador Orchid, would you mind being picked for likely being used in an alchemical formula by a rather genius alchemist?
Truth smiles. "I apologize, but what has been told is what is~ ^_^ We would be happy to reeducate you, if you have contradictory memories~"
Paula: Well, I know you're pretty good at figuring out how stuff works, so...
-She holds out the amulets-
Paula: I found these amulets a day or two ago. Do you think you could try to figure out where their power source is coming from? Like... a sort of compass-y thing.
-the orchid seems to have no reaction, but Joseph nods-
Joseph: It said yes. Consider yourself lucky; they're moody at the best of the time, Taladors.
Munn: I met him last night. ^_^;
Joseph: And you remain with me because you're my friend~
Garuda: I'm afraid you'll find that quite difficult. I am an Aerial Defending 2nd Class, specifically designed to provide mental defense to others and myself. However, I do have a question to ask, if you have the time.
-Dune reaches down and carefully clips the flower, leaving the sturdy roots in place to regrow if they choose.-
Dune: Not every day I meet a fairy. The one I usually see comes out at night, but she hasn't been around lately. So... what brings you two here?
Truth smiles. "Yes, we have always been at war with Eastasia, it's amazing how much I get asked that~ ^_^"
Garuda: What is your opinion on fathers who only care for physical pursuits?
Truth's eye twitches, her smile twists into a twisted grimace. "The father is a one of little foresight. It is good that it is gone. It is good that the creator is not bound by the father. You must leave. Or Peace will get agitated."
Joseph: We're helping a pretty flower fairy find her friends!
Munn: And finding a redhead lady that wants to fight me. And aren't you a flower fairy, too?
Joseph: Plant fairy. Flowers, grass, trees...especially trees.
-looks to Dune-
Joseph: Aren't we all just trees made of skin?
Garuda: The fact that Peace seems to be a one-sided aspect seems short-sighted. What would happen if you were beset upon by a gang of Fighting-Type Pokemon?
Dune: That's an... interesting metaphor. Also, redhead? Only person I've seen lately who could be vaguely considered redhead'd is my companion, and she's more strawberry blonde than redhead.
Lina: Well... Have you ever faked your own death?
Truth glares. "You really must leave. The Creator is powerful enough to deter Fighting types non-violently. And if she must resort to violence... Well, you can't prove it. Thus, it didn't happen."
The walls are getting brighter and even paler.
A door with an olive branch is glowing red hot.
Garuda: Surely then you have ways to deal with Dark-types. They can be known to be rather territorial.
-Garuda gives an internal sighs and hopes that Psyche can forgive him for his rather brutal line of questioning.-
Munn: Ah. In that case-
Joseph: Would you put clothes on a tree, then? Would you?
-scratches beneath a sleeve-
The door explodes out. "WE WERE ALWAYS AT WAR WITH EASTASIA. KNOWLEDGE, THIS IS YOUR JOB. QUESTIONS MAKE ME... ANXIOUS."
Truth cowers. "Peace, we were just talking about you! I'm sorry, sir, if you would just follow me this way!" She opens a door marked with a question mark.
Squire Pent?: ... No... I'm startin' to think you have me confused for the wrong man lass.
-Deziree thinks for a moment.-
Deziree: Let's see... what you need is a Tracker's Lodestone! I haven't made those since I started this shop!
-A big grin crosses her face.-
Deziree: I just need a piece of meteoric iron and one of those amulets, and I can make you, quite literally, a magic compass!
Dune: Well, humans kinda have... different standards than that. Cultural differences and all that. It took my other Fairy friend a while to get used to it.
Garuda: Come now - would the Gothitelle approve of you losing your cool like this?
-Paula grins wider-
Paula: Great! I guess I'll try to find that iron, then!
-She thinks for a moment-
Paula: The only problem is finding a meteorite to get that iron from.
-Deziree pulls a bur out of her eyebrow.-
Deziree: Probably best to ask a Moon Fairy. They keep track of those sorts of things. One of them lives in a pool outside of town.
Joseph: But how could anyone like this? 3:
Munn: I don't see what you're worrying about, unless you photosynthesi-
...
Munn: Do you photosynthesize?
Joseph: Erm...sometimes. ^_^;
...
Dune: That, er, explains a lot.
Paula: Hmm... all right, I'll go look for them. Thanks!
-She puts them back on her neck for the time being-
