I might be able to find the exact spot with Aura Sense. That Aura signature seems familiar though...
Aaron: <Or we could try destroying the robots.>
Murcrow: -to Aaron-<That could work, given they're weak to electricity as far as I know, but I think it's be safer to avoid making a stir until we have to.>
<We should keep an out for those Greninja-like robots, though. If Zrone made them anything like whatever Shinobi does when he uses attacks, they're going to be rather annoying.>
-to Tagg- <Anyway, I'd be up for trying that.>
Stark: <Aww, I was hoping to try some robot scraps today...>
Shinobi: <I'm sure there will be scrap metal of some sort for you to nibble on by the time were done. Assuming we don't have to deal with a self-destruct system or something on the way out>
<If they can change their type, annoying might be an understatement... But if you think that'll get us where we need to be faster, go for it. For all we know those mecha-Greninja just went for reinforcements>
Ammon: -To Jacob- <If they have to keep whatever is up there from overheating, wouldn't it be easier to put it somewhere that ISN'T a volcano?>
Jacob: Sure Tagg, give it a shot.
-Looks over at Ammon- It would be, and that begs the question why didn't they?
-He shudders and feels like something is watching him-
-In fact, something is-
-Two feet behind the group, one of the mecha-Greninja is staring down the group, quiet as a grave-
-Annoyed-
How do we get this thing away from us?
MechaGreninja: -It opens its mouth and out of a speaker comes a voice familiar to Crow, Tagg, and Jacob-
Zrone: You don't. Kill them.
-The robot blurs and FlashSteps over to Akim'bleer and brings down a water katana-
-Akim'bleer is struck by the sudden water katana-
Akim'bleer: <Ugh, seriously, dude?>
-He tries retaliating with one kick followed by another-
Murcrow: <...Well, so much for stealth. Let's try and overwhelm it!>
-He shoots a weak electrical pulse at the Greninjabot-
-Gogie tries using an attack that turns the Greninja's own power against it-
Sundancer: <...Well, I suppose my wings are already dirty at this point. It can't get much worse.>
-She tries striking at the robot with a series of acrobatic movements, boosted by the fact that she is currently carrying nothing-
Kick Magnet: <Don't think I'll go easily this time!>
-He sends out stars and shoots them unavoidably at the Greninja-
-The Mecha Greninja is struck by all of the attacks, and one of Kick Magnet's Swift stars rips a gash in its shoulder, but actually has it's speed boosted by the Thunderwave-
-It leaps over the Murcrow and mons and throws Water Shuriken at the group, then tries slamming down on to Shinobi-
-Shinobi is knocked back the the robot's attack, and slips behind it to attack with a Shadow Sneak, leaving the mon noticibly ghostly as he hops away from Ammon's Flamethrower-
Stark: <I don't think it's weak to electricity!>
-The Greninja dashes from the Shadow Sneak and into the fire, and it bleeps and whirs as it registers damage and quickly hops away before throwing another Water Shuriken, it's exterior becoming coated in water as it does so-
Jacob: .... Wait, what is that?
-Argentum tries to Thunder Punch it, and it simply gets faster, Discord tries to NOM with a Crunch but it dances out of the way-
It's got some sort of Protean effect!
Amorpha: -Fires a Dragon Pulse at the bot-
Jacob: Protean??
-The Mecha Greninja is hit by the Dragon Pulse and sustains some serious damage, before it's eyes glow blue and it fires an Ice Beam at Amorpha-
Zrone: You travel with idiots, you know this, right?
Murcrow: -to Jacob- <That... thing that makes Greninja change types. Unfortunately, Electricity makes it faster.>
Gogie: <Uh, but none of us have Grass-type attacks.>
Murcrow: <True... Let's just keep at it. And try and slow it down.>
-Gogie nods and tries to make a Scary Face at the Greninjabot-
-Crow meanwhile tries to appear out of nowhere and Astonish the robot-
-Akim'bleer, Sundancer, and Kick Magnet try the same attacks they did before-
-To Jacob, ignoring Zrone-
Rare ability exhibited by Kecleon and the Froakie line, hyper efficient omnisacs allow mons with that ability to fire off moves and take on their type attributes!
Amorpha: -Uses Protect to block-
Aya: -Shoots a Flamethrower at the bot from behind-
Shinobi: -At Gogie's comment- <Actually, I do!>
-And the currently ghostly Greninja demonstrates with a Grass Knot for the robot, shifting to Grass-Type at the same time-
<Always wondered how Protean worked though>
-The combination of attacks causes the bot to explode-
Jacob: ... Wait so it takes on the typing of the move it uses? That's... efficient.
-The head of the bot just lays on the ground-
Zrone: I hate all of you... fine, you know what, come see me. I have a surprise. Granted, the rest of my robots didn't notice you. So you can try sneaking by them if you want. Ta-ta. -And the head explodes-
Jacob: I... think he's missing a screw or ten.
-Gogie sees Blitz use the attack-
Gogie: <Well, that's helpful.>
-He notices the robot explode-
Gogie: <...At least more than my move.>
Sundancer: -to Jacob- <To state the obvious.>
Akim'bleer: <Looks like we can stay sneaky after all, dudes.>
Murcrow: <Assuming Zrone doesn't intervene any...>
<At least we know how to deal with those things now as well as the other robots, assuming he didn't change those any.>
-Following the first explosion-
Shinobi: <Yeah, if you're careful. The change doesn't last very long though>
-The were-Greninja kind of stares at the disembodied mecha-head before it too explodes-
<Sounds like you guys have history. Well, I guess there's not a lot of need for stealth now, but I'd rather avoid smashing through an army of robots if possible...>
Ammon: <So Stark, you still want to eat the robots?>
Stark: <Eh, I'm not sure about eating something that explodes...>
Jacob: Well now that that's out of the way, we should keep going...
-Argentum sinks into the ground to hide, Discord shakes himself off-
Discord: <So we have two routes! Charge in there and blow up everything or sneak. I vote frontal assault!>
Jacob: I vote sneak, he just said he has a surprise for us, we'll want to be at full strength to take whatever he has ready.
I'm voting sneak too.
Sue: <Only so that Zrone will go down my throat that much quicker.>
Jacob: .... Does your Tyrantrum typically express desire to devour people or is this atypical?
Murcrow: <I agree sneaking's best. Assuming he doesn't have some trap built around us sneaking, at least.>
Sundancer: <I'd agree. I've been embarassed enough by having to be so dirty, so I'd rather not embarass myself further.>
-Shinobi and his team just stare at Sue for a few moments-
Down: ~Implications of murder aside, conserving our energy seems best. Combat isn't exactly my specialty~
Ammon: <Good point Down>
Shinobi: <What? Down, you know it's hard for me to hear your psychic speech when I'm like this>
Down: <Sorry>
She's just kidding...I think.
Jacob: ... Right... Okay moving on. Sneak time!
-He starts creeping towards a rock on one side of the area that would hide him from the view of a robot sentry-
-Argentum, meanwhile, has somehow made it to the other side of the room-
