-After a long series of events that includes Tagg, Jacob, Crow, and Blitz getting here-
Jacob: Okay so remind me, we're going to get our mons to bathe in the ash to try an confuse the security mechs that they live here?
Such was the plan we discussed.
Jacob: Quick question though, what if aside from environmental markers they also look at biological ones? Because I'm sure something like a Treecko that looks as if it's lived here it's whole life is sure to contradict a few things.
Good point, though I think we'd need one of his robots to examine to be sure.
Jacob: That might be a good idea. From what Crow's said we should be able to disable them with a very weak electric jolt, maybe we could stun one and take it to examine?
Sounds good to me.
-Since it looks like we're still preparing, I'm going to assume the sun hasn't gone down quite yet so Blitz is still human for now. I'm also guessing he'll be more useful as a Greninja than human once things get going, but either way works-
Blitz: Should we do that before everyone gets all ashed up?
-He glances over to where Ammon (Arcanine), Stark (still a Lairon at this point) and Down (Natu) are-
-Crow is here with likely the same Pokemon that came the first time-
Murcrow: <Maybe? It'd be good to see if we can have precautions, but if we need to go in there anyway, wouldn't it be safer to be covered in soot?>
Sundancer: <I'm still not fond of the soot aspect of this plan.>
Jacob: Yeah okay, let's try getting sooty first.
-Argentum pops his head out of the ground, and Discord does the same next to him-
What were you two even doing down there
Argentum: <Error. No data available.>
Discord: <Shhhhh, we're hunting wobots!>
Blitz: True, I just wondered if it'd be a good idea to get some data from a non-native and non-sooty mon, if we're going to be tinkering with a robot that is...
-He looks at Sundancer-
I guess we've got a volunteer then. You don't like getting dirty?
-Ammon pushes Down off of her perch and into a pile of ash. And in return gets a small wing-full of the ash flung at the Arcanine and Lairon-
-Crow goes and rolls in the soot-
Sundancer: -to Blitz- <Absolutely not.>
<And seeing what happened with a non-native Pokemon, I am in no hurry to volunteer myself for that.>
-After some playing around, Blitz's team are all rather sooty-
Blitz: "Well if you don't get some ash that might happen anyway"
"So what did happen last time anyway? All I remember is something about alarms"
Sundancer: <I'm aware, though I'm not pleased. I'm still considering sitting this out.>
<But that was it, more or less, alarms. Pokemon it sees as native, it removes and goes back to its old patterns. When it found a non-native, it picked it up and transported it elsewhere, then the others were more alert to our presence.>
Jacob: Well my team and I are all sufficiently, ahem, sooted up now. Are we ready to go?
-In front of a large wall of monitors, Zrone types hastily-
Zrone: Almost done... it's... almost past this first stage...
-He see's a blip on one screen and waves his hand dismissively at it, as if trying to shoo away the data he doesn't want to see-
-Nods, my mons and I covered in soot-
Yeah, let's go.
-Crow and co. are similarly ready to go-
-Blitz's team is covered in soot and ash. And since I think that was part of the plan, Greninja!Blitz is too-
Shinobi: <Bleh, tastes burnt... Could be worse>
-Either way, everyone is ready to go-
Jacob: Alright then, let's go. Crow you were here before, you take the lead. Unless anyone objects to that idea.
Sundancer: <Fine. Let's just get this over with.>
Murcrow: <Kay. We're going to want to head in, but make sure not to get seen by the robots once we get into the actual lair.>
-He heads in, Sundancer, Gogie, Akim'bleer, and Kick Magnet following-
Shinobi: <Alright, time to put all that training to good use!>
-Shinobi, Ammon, Stark and Down carefully follow. The sooty Greninja looking for any evidence on how likely these mysterious robots are to pay any attention to the ceiling-
-Jacob and co. follow-
-Inside, the number of robots has doubled since Crow's visit but seem incapable of looking up, and the cage suspended above the caldera is constantly being drained and shocked by the large pylons, the roaring has become ceaseless-
Jacob: Hm... I wonder what it's draining energy from....
-Two robots pass by the entrance the group is heading-
-Shinobi may notice that while none of them are looking up at the ceiling, five mechanized Greninja are staring intently at the group from the cave roof-
-Shinobi did notice the mecha-greninja, and is currently looking back at them while trying to prod Crow to get his attention-
-Quietly- <Uh... Were those guys there last time?>
-Crow looks at where Blitz is prodding-
Murcrow: <Uh... I don't think so. And it seems like there are a lot more guards than last time...>
Gogie: <Guess we'll have to be more careful, then.>
Shinobi: <I don't like the way they're watching us...>
Shouldn't they have raised an alarm or something?
-He shakes his head-
<Ugh, that noise is horrible. I'll be glad when this is finished>
-The Greninja's eyes gleam blue and then they leap off to all different sections of the cave-
Jacob: What I'm more concerned with is the tech... what is all this stuff, and how do you sustain it in a volcano?? I mean Team Magma and their base built right into Mt. Chimney was one thing, but this is another... It's so hot in here I can hardly breathe...
Discord: <That's cause you're a flimsy human.>
Jacob: Yeah but... like... what even are those pylons? Where are they powered from?
-As he says this, several drones descend and launch wave after wave of ice at the cage, rapidly cooling it from nearly melted to encased in a chunk of ice-
