Topic: Eskay Has Weird Dreams

This is a thread for all of the weird dreams I have. They tend to be nightmares, unfortunately.

Shadow Sky

I was coming home from dinner when I started seeing the clouds appearing around me. Calling them "clouds" is almost inaccurate. They were immense purple mounds of floating snow that almost seemed solid. In some cases, it was; less ominous snow had collected on the "shelves" that stuck out of the mass. Also of note was the height. The cloud that collected over my house -- my old house, incidentally -- was as low as fog, yet towered over everything for at least twice my house's height, like a thundercloud. On my way home, I even saw clouds that had already touched the ground, forming eerie purple structures that wouldn't be out of place in a Tim Burton film. I could barely get inside before the cloud over my home started collapsing. It was more of an airborne avalanche than a blizzard; large chunks of snow fell at a time, chunks that would barely fit in a snow shovel scoop. The purple wisps of cloud started collecting around my windows, and I stopped watching them. I started heading through the house to the upstairs, but when I passed by the front window, I noticed similar clouds in the distance, except those were red. As I looked closer, I quickly realized the red glow wasn't from the clouds themselves, but from a wave of fire rushing through the trees... and toward us.

I rushed to go outside to run away and then woke up from the dream.

Three of Steel

I unfortunately don't remember this as well as I'd like. I'd tried to make a point to keep it in my memory when I woke up from it, and it worked at first, but I was feeling too miserable to get up and type it up at the time.

Anyway, the basic premise of the dream was, I'd encountered some sort of malware that constantly kept popping up and interfering with any work I'd been trying to do. Interestingly enough, I wasn't annoyed by it as much as I was intrigued; the malware, which was apparently called "Three of Steel", opened up a command prompt that itself opened up some sort of 3D modeling software. The file that opened in this was a surprisingly well-developed world, and pretty much got me obsessed with exploring it. As I did, there was some sort of thing that kept reminding me of Bill Cipher who popped up from time to time and spoke. I can't remember what it said or its exact appearance, but that's where "Three of Steel" came from: that thing's name. The thing that defined it as malware, though, was that it eventually started interrupting startup and shutdown processes on my laptop. Once I woke up, I decided I'd call this sort of thing "hauntware", since it reminded me of Rotom and similar "machine ghosts", even though it didn't actually have anything supernatural about it; once my laptop battery ran out, it actually turned off.
