-she grins-
-Vierr rolls his eyes-
Vierr: Whatever. What constitutes a date to you, then?
... I have no idea. I don't think I've ever been on a real one that wasn't, like, super awkward.
Vierr: Well, we're not going to figure out one just sitting here. Let's go with your guess, without the candlelight. I will personally make any candle we come across sputter out and die.
Bah. I need to get a lighter so I can relight any candles you put out.
-she pauses-
Wait, are we doing this ironically or unironically?
Vierr: It'll be the most ironic legitimate date ever.
-Crewe looks momentarily disappointed, then offers him her hand, grinning-
Shall we, then?
-Vierr grins and takes her hand-
Vierr: We shall. Don't worry, it's still very much a real date. Just with a hint of irony.
The shortcake was scooped up into the other's arms, eyes widening in mild arm as she was suddenly being cradled and twirled, wavy blonde hair trailing behind them as she squirmed a bit to get comfortable.
"Wh--" she started softly before an ever so brief kiss interrupted her. She totally buries her head against the other in response, a previously unseen smile gracing her face.
"...And I will be your champion~" she replied softly, a hint of teasing in her tone. Her words seemed to have a double meaning.
"What will you tell others..? What about Kyrie..?" she asked gently, simultaneously concerned and at peace. Her hands now rested in her lap, because where else would she put them?
-Crewe grins at him-
Seeing you trying to do a romantic date is totally worth the irony.
Vierr: Seeing me succeed will be even more worth it.
-He heads off in some direction with her-
Well, I suppose we all need goals.
-she walks off with him-
-Eventually, they find some restaurant.-
Vierr: This seems nice enough. Good food, quiet...
-He smirks-
Vierr: No candles.
-Crewe snickers-
Oh, I'm sure they'd be very accommodating if we asked for some.
-Vierr rolls his eyes-
Vierr: There was a reason we came here before you could get a lighter. And it's not because I don't trust you with fire.
You sure? Because I don't trust me with fire.
-Vierr smirks-
Vierr: I didn't say I don't. I just said that's not the reason.
Bah. You're so lame, Terrible.
-Vierr grins-
Vierr: And yet despite my lameness, here we are.
-They get seated-
Ah, despite, because, what's the difference, really?
-she takes a sip of water to hide her grin-
Vierr: Who said there was a difference?
-He takes a sip of his own water, grinning as well-
This conversation is just getting dumb because yeah there definitely is a difference.
-Crewe flicks a crumpled up straw cover at Vierr-
Vierr: Yeah, it is.
-Vierr catches the straw wrapper effortlessly, smirking.-
-Crewe raises an eyebrow-
Proud of ourselves, are we?
Vierr: Maybe. Or maybe I'm just amused.
-He flicks it back at her-
