-Alice manages to restrain herself from crying, though she keeps her face in her hands to hide her expression from Lanie.-

Alice: I... I don't know what they've done to you, Lanie, but I...

-She pauses, then shakes her head and stands up, suddenly stern as she recalls Belladonna.-

Alice: ...But nothing. I was rash and foolish and made an error in judgement. Something that I will not allow to happen again. Arsenic?

-Arsenic snaps to attention.-

Arsenic: <Yes ma'am?>

Alice: Stay here with Ren and ensure that Lanie remains both in place and unharmed. I will scout the rest of the facility to locate further opposition and eliminate them if need be.

Arsenic: <But... ma'am, you can't just expect me to leave y->

Alice: I have Cyanide with me. I will be perfectly safe. Let me do my job, and I will let you do yours. Understood?

-Arsenic looks defiant for a moment, then reluctantly nods. Alice sweeps out of the room without further comment or gesture.-

-Zeal is walking through the halls with a straight face when he's spotted by a random Cipher Peon.-

Cipher Peon: Hey! You, there! Ah... let's make this quick, please... *.*

-Zeal stops and turns to face the Peon.-

Zeal: Yes, sir?

Cipher Peon: Excuse me. Who are you? ...Sir? Who does this guy think I am? Eh, I could get used to the sound of that. ^u^

Zeal: I am Commander Thiznemiz Kwaitfeyk, sir.

Cipher Peon: If you're a Commander, then why are you calling me "sir"? ...I have never heard that man's name in my life. It's ridiculous. ._.

Zeal: My apologies, sir. It's a bit of a habit of mine. I was only recently promoted, sir, so not many people are familiar with me.

Cipher Peon: Right, then... Could you verify your identity for me? Does this guy really think I'm going to fall for this? -_-;

Zeal: WHAT?! YOU THINK I'M AN INTRUDER, SIR?!

Cipher Peon: N-no! O-of course not, Commander Kwaitfeyk! Wait, why am I playing along? O.o

Zeal: Ah, that's good. I was worried I'd have to punish you, sir.

Cipher Peon: My apologies, Commander. ...What have I gotten myself into...? T_T

-Alice is also wandering through the corridors with Cyanide, though she is likely in an entirely different area of the facility to Zeal. She has abandoned Belladonna's SEP field, and is now ignoring the possibility of stealth or diplomacy in favour of searching for any Cipher Peons she can find to vent her frustrations on.-

-Zeal has been talking to the Cipher Peon for a while by now. The Cipher Peon is now even more confused than earlier and staring at his feet.-

Cipher Peon: Right, then... Could you show me those records now? I need to be certain of your identity. For how long will this go on?! T_T

Zeal: PLEASE BE PATIENT, SIR! I left them back at my personal base of operations. I must have them sent to me, sir.

-Zeal pulls out his phone and begins to type random letters.-

Cipher Peon: ...Certainly, Commander. I can wait. Ugh... Hope my sister's in a better situation than I am... -_-;

-He sighs.-

Near Alice

-A Cipher Peon who, to some extent, resembles the one with Zeal takes notice of Alice.-

Cipher Peon: Hey, you! Wait! Is she an intruder? I hope so. This could be fun! ^u^

-She approaches Alice.-

Cipher Peon: OKAY! FINE! YOU CAN PASS, COMMANDER! Go... Please... I don't ever want to have to see you again... -_-;

Zeal: Ah, certainly. Thank you greatly, sir.

-He continues walking down the hall, grinning when the Cipher Peon starts to sprint in the opposite direction.-

Near Alice

-The Cipher Peon fearfully watches the incoming rocks.-

Cipher Peon: NoOOoOOOoOoooo! Hope you're in a better situation than me, brother... T_T

-She is knocked unconscious by the Ancient Power.-

Alice: Hmph. We are not going to learn anything worthwhile from an interrogation of an unconscious casualty. Still, it may be worth stripping her for her uniform and any other potential objects of interest.

Alice: Not quite yet.

Cyanide: <Aww...>

-With Cyanide's help, Alice starts hauling the Peon down the corridor.-

-Zeal walks onto the roof, where he finds by Iulianus and the woman wearing an orange mask. He takes a few steps towards the two before Iulianus begins to speak.-

Iulianus: Your sister told us you were bound to show up eventually...

-Zeal stops walking.-

Zeal: So you're the real Iulianus, then?

Iulianus: That is correct. Now, could you please leave? We're in the middle of something right now, see?

-Zeal closes his eyes.-

???: You can come back for your sister later! We need to borrow her right now!

Zeal: I'm afraid...

-He opens his eyes. They've turned red.-

RedEyes!Zeal: That simply isn't an option.

In no particular order, where is your commanding officer, how many personnel are still present in this facility, what is the purpose of this facility, what purpose does the girl that you are currently keeping in your captivity serve, why continue to detain her, and why does your commander see fit to use Ditto duplicates in place of his staff members?

-The Peon sighs.-

Cipher Peon: Only about forty Peons are still stationed here, but I've lost contact with the others. This building is used as a second laboratory by Iulianus, but I have no idea where he's run off to. And whatever you mean by your other questions is lost on me. ...Sigh... -_-;

Cipher Peon: I don't have any idea what you're talking about! Am I going to be killed for telling the truth? I'm not even completely sure what asphyxiation means... T_T

Prisoner: ...Explosion.

-Prisoner's Drifblim explodes, knocking Todd unconscious and causing parts of the roof to collapse. Prisoner starts laughing and clapping.-

Alice: I find that rather difficult to believe. If you would rather avoid passing out from lack of oxygen, then I would strongly advise-

-She is cut off by the sound of an explosion and part of the roof caving in nearby.-

Alice: ...It seems something more important has just come up. Cyanide, release him. We need to get onto the roof.

Cyanide: <If we have to...>

-Cyanide withdraws the vines, and Alice attempts to knock the Peon unconscious with a kick to the head before running towards the roof.-

-The white-masked woman doesn't wait for an answer, and attacks Alice with the intention of knocking her out.-

-The Gigalith is severely damaged by Cyanide's Grass Knot, but it manages to avoid fainting.-

Prisoner: Whoa, you're still standing?! Haha! Lucky us!

-She snaps, and the Gigalith uses Explosion.-

-Alice is still too dazed to try and properly defend herself from the gunshot, but RedEyes!Zeal's charge knocks Prisoner's aim off at the last moment and the bullet hits Alice in the shoulder instead. She gives a yell and slumps to the floor, clutching her shoulder tightly.-
