-Sol (who, yes, has been there the whole time) is about to ask something to Lina, but is distracted by the sudden FF14 reference-

Sol the Espeon♀: <...Ooooh! Pretty! o.o That looks a very awesome trick!>

"Indeed... he's making a very good entrance" -- applauds.

Sol: <Shame he dressed not like an Arcanist though. I could have been in the linked picture instead! :3>

A moment after Zorro is revealed and vanishes.

Python -raises and observes: <Ren, Zorro = Zorro Ren ? @.@>

-Then Rey appears, shrouded in darkness and dressed in armor. And as he observes the Nidoking moving around Silent has no choice but to think back to what has happened to Maekrite-

"...Great, as if I wasn't feeling enough blame already..."

Sol observes the presentation with interest. Silent does as well but is not applauding much more, if any.

Stands

Silent and Sol o_o at the villain displays, in particular Napoleon. (Yeah, this is a verse where, really, villains like Cyrus are not that of a big deal.)

Sol -pokes Silent's leg: <…Talking to Ren you said?>

"I think it's probably too late for that."

Sol twirls her tails amused.

Sol: <It won't be a problem. I bet Chatter will be flooded with messages about this being taken from the TV show or something...>

And Silent allows himself a chuckle, two more as he admires the PEFeDOS-esque construct.

Python, meanwhile, has decided to just eerily stare at Arika and Amhlaidh.

Stands

-Arika is too busy staring at the display to notice Python. As is Chrome-

- Lina is most focused on Napoleon-

Lina: -to Silent- That Emboar, is he...

Gino: <I think so, nyan...>

Stands

Lina: From what my other self saw of him I can believe that. But I'll have to ask.

Gino: <I've archive binged enough to know it isn't pretty, nyan.>

"Yeah! Go J-Team!"

"..."

"Kami, gimme some popcorn!"

<Kaminari: "You got it, boss!">

The Stands

-Eric and Clara are applauding much harder than before-

Eric: I knew he’d do something like that.

Clara: Well I’m surprised he was able to pull it off so well. When did have time to plan that?

Eric: Clara, Ren is an excellent planner and coordinator. At his worst, he'd show his partners as some sketches and say, "Have at it" and it still look good. And we both know he's done that before.

Clara: -shaking her head at the memory- True. Ren was lucky the judges thought that poor Purrloin was part of the appeal.

Eric: And the coffee, treacle, ink, and flour remember?

Clara: Yes. I still wonder if and what the judges where on...

On Stage

-Ren and his mon curtsey and bow. Ren then pulls out a cordless microphone and addresses the audience-

Ren:  Thank you all for coming today.  In five minutes, the main contest will start. As I have come to understand, there are many first time coordinators today. I wish them all the best, and hope that the veteran coordinators will help the newer ones when they can. I hope every personmon here enjoys today’s contest. Also, and I’m sorry to our hosts I’m deviating from the script a bit, but have two announcements I’ll make later so look forward to that as well. So now, I say to every person in the contest hall, be they coordinator, spectator, or mon; Iiit’s shoooow tiiiiime!

-The audience applauds as Ren and his mon walk back stage to await their turn.-

Backstage

-Ren smiles mischievously-

Ren: Now Martin, that would be telling. But I suppose one could say that once you've been a coordinator as long as I have, learning how moves and attacks work and mix together becomes second nature.

-Ren goes to sit and wait for his turn the Appeals Segment.-

Auditorium

-The Judge's stand is set up and the stage is cleared. The emcee walks to the center of the stage.-

Emcee: Ladies and Gentlemen, today's contest has a total of 34 entrants. During the appeals segment, each entrant may select one pokemon to perform an appeal that highlights up to two of the following categories: Beauty, Cool, Cute, Tough, and Smart. After all entrants have performed their appeals, 16 finalists will be selected to advance to the battle round. The battle round will be a two on two double battle format. Finalists may select any two pokemon that the wish to enter. If a finalist renders both his or her opponent's mon unable to battle or they cause their opponent to lose all their points, they will advance to the next round of the Battle Segment, the winner of the Battle segment will be awarded the Goldenrod Tri Ribbon.

-The Emcee points to a screen that shows a  three loop ribbon with a triangular metal plate in the center. The three loops are each a different color; red, blue, and green.-

Now, without further ado, Let the contest begin!

-The emcee introduces several entrants and their mon. The appeals are of varying quality ranging from "Really?" to "I can't believe this is their first contest", to "As expected of a veteran", to "That was good" until eventually... -

Emcee: Now our next entrant is another first time coordinator. Please welcome Joesph Hudson and his Froslass, Catherine!

Backstage

Ren: Yes Joseph?

Backstage

-Ren smiles-

Ren: It's bad luck to say good luck, so instead I'll say "Break a leg".

-Ren nods as turns back to the screen.-

Ren: Oh and Joesph, you're welcome. I see you in the final battle round.

Okay!

-he steps out, and says to the audience, in a voice that, though energetic and clear, is still very slightly nervous:-

Hello, everyone! For my first ever appeal, my lovely Froslass will be in the beauty category. Although...

-he smirks a bit-

Not the conventional sort. The moves she will use are: Hail, Ominous Wind, Icy Wind, and Psychic. I hope you all enjoy!

-he steps to the side: Catherine is nowhere to be seen for a few seconds-

-then, it begins to hail-

-the hail picks up in pace. Before long, it's almost a white out-

-suddenly, the stage is engulfed in an Ominous Wind. The obscura soon fades away, revealing four ice statues: a man, a woman, a Gardevoir, and a Gallade. All appear to have been frozen alive, and based on their poses, the procedure wasn't pleasant in the slightest-

-once this sinks into the audience, an Icy Wind appears, and moves over the statues. Once this fades away, Catherine is shown in full, and music begins to play:-

-slowly and gracefully, Catherine sways to the music, weaving in and out between the statues. She appears breathtakingly beautiful, especially when surrounded by the hail, but there is a clear undertone of menace. She stops briefly to regard the statue of the woman, and levitates it with Psychic, bringing it over to the man. The two are positioned in a manner that makes it look as though the two had huddled together before death-

-still swaying and spinning in time with the music, Catherine regards the Gardevoir and smiles to herself. Clearly, this is a statue she is proud of. She runs one of her hands down the Gardevoir's cheek, and appears to stare almost tenderly into the doomed Pokemon's eyes, like a woman beholding a doll from her childhood-

-Catherine turns to the audience and spins one last time, letting Ominous and Icy Winds blow her sleeves to and fro. Then, both winds converge, shrouding Catherine. Once it is clear, the hail has stopped and only the statues remain-

-Catherine shows up again, this time not shrouded in anything-

-Joseph and Catherine bow and curtsy, respectively, before walking off-
