There's a picture of Orotto now, looks like a demonic tree. If it's Grass/Ghost like I suspect it is Umbra will likely get one, and it could show up on my Y team.

While I'll probably save my thoughts on evil tree thing until we get a better image, I can't help but feel as if a lot of things introduced in this region... I mean, fairies, a possessed sword and now the evil tree thing... Seems to me like there's a fantasy Pokémon fanfic waiting to happen in here somewhere.

Also, I randomly thought about something. What happens to Flabébé who are born without any flowers available to live in? Whether they are born in an area without flowers, or all the flowers in their area have already been taken by other Flabébé?

I'm going to do what I normally do with new gen starters with X/Y:
1. Start a game on my first cart (e.g. Y)

2. Soft reset until I get a female starter. (e.g. Water-type)

3. Play until I can access the daycare services.

4. Breed the Starter.

5. Start a game on my second cart (e.g. X) and soft reset until I get a different female starter (e.g. Grass or Fire)

6. Play my second game until I can access trade services.

7. Trade my starter from the second cart to the first cart.

8. Repeat steps 4-7 once more (gotta have all 3 of starter's eggs!)

9. Restart my game on the second cart once more

10. Catch three junk mon and while playing until I can access the trade services.

11. Trade the junk mon for the three eggs. Now I have all three starters on both carts before the second Gym in my first full play through!

As for which Starter and Fairy Combos Ill be using, I'll be going with Chespin and Spritzee in Y, and Fennekin and Swirlix in X.

As for IRP, I can definitely say Ren is definitely going to get a Fennekin due to Ren's whole fox motif, and a Pangoro because it has a tailcoat. Ren may get a Littleo and a Fletchling though those aren't a 100% thing. (Ren also seems to have the same affinity to fire Fire types that I do.)

Nice to get a sort-of good look at what Oorotto looks like. Still no official art, though.

Also, is it strange that I kind of want to write a non-canon spin-off in this forum about Goggles turning into a human and becoming a Pokémon trainer in Kalos, and catching an Oorotto and naming it "Treeeeeeee"?

So, looks like more old Pokémon other than Mewtwo are getting new "Mega" forms. Hmm... Not sure what to think of this. The designs are kind of cool, but... do any of them really need new forms? I suppose Mawile is slightly understandable from a certain point of view, but aren't the rest of the Pokémon mentioned already strong enough the way they are?

Also, three new Pokémon. Gogoat's pre-evo is kind of cute, so is the confused looking rabbit and the electric fairy thing that looks to be this Gen's Pikachu-expy.

Is that an evolution of blaziken I see?

Honestly this is the first X/Y change that I feel isn't a good idea, though I do like the idea of Absol and Mawile getting evos, I don't think they needed to be "Megas", and by the way, the name does make it look like it came from Digimon.

I think yeah, it's more akin to a permanent form change rather than an evolution. I don't really care about this at all, but meh.
