X and Y first impressions

I dunno. Some thing about it just doesn't work for me.

Also, apparently Japan gets Birthday Eeveelutions(and Pikachu). I hope this comes to other regions, I wouldn't mind getting an Espeon on my birthday(Even if I would have to roll the clock back 4 days. )

I've been pretty much wondering if we're going to get any new evos/prevos other than Sylveon and with how the only things we've heard much about for old Pokemon is Mega Evos, this seems to be even more the case.

I would be kind of pleased if I end up wrong, though, even if I'm generally fine with Mega Evos.

Well, Mega Mawile has increased Defenses and Huge Power, so...

Plus, dat Fairy typing removing its weakness to Fighting, as well as double resistances to Bug and Dark and an immunity to Dragon.

Derp, yes on Dark. But not just Chrome. :P

Lina: -spouts a stream of swears and Angrish upon finding out Steel no longer resists Ghost-

I just realized how BOSS a Dark/Fairy will be. It's only weakness would be Steel, and it'll have absolutely insane coverage on the metaphysical side of the type chart.

Oh, derp, that's right. I thought that Dark was resistant to Poison, but that's Ghost. Also... it turns out Fairy doesn't resist itself. It'd still be weak to other Fairy attacks. So that's Poison, Steel, and Fairy. Huh.

Ignore me, my mind's been on first gear all day.

So, it seems the new X and Y Global Link will have its own system of mini-games you can play to gain items to send to X and Y... Not sure if I like. They'll also be converting all our Dream Points to "Pokemiles", the point system used to play these games and stuff.

What does this mean for DW Pokémon? Will we still be able to obtain them?

I personally hope that they bring Grottoes back, without the annoying habit of getting regular items rather than Pokémon.

Ooh. Probably an evolution of something we already got. Though hopefully it's of an old mon.

New interview stuff

Some of those points confuse me, six especially: Will Gen 1 Pokemon like Clefable be getting less Fairy moves than, say, Gardevoir and later gens? Eight as well: Mawile is confirmed to have a Mega Evolution, but it isn't especially popular, at least in the US.

Also, HOLY CRAP THEY'RE BRINGING BACK THE XP ALL.
