Conquest Master Thread
Moon suggested in chat that we should start a master thread for ancestor profiles in Conquest, and everyone else seemed to be on board with the idea. As such, I figured I ought to try and get things started. Please, do post any relevant ancestor bios or Conquest character profiles here. It'll help to keep them organised, and stop them from being buried in Discussion.

So, without further ado, here's the first bio, for Ancestor!Herbert:
Lucanus
Name: Sir Lucanus Cain
Age: Early twenties
Appearance: Lucanus is very much an Identical Ancestor. He sports the same black hair, grey eyes and high cheekbones as Herbert, and stood side to side the only difference between the two would be a couple of inches in height. In battle he wears a suit of yellow-tinged knight's plate armour, whilst off the field he prefers a doublet and breeches. He generally looks ridiculous, is what I'm trying to say.
Kingdom: His actual homeland is unknown, though given his rather European mannerisms he may well be a native of Kalos. In Ransei, he serves as the new Warlord of Pugilis.
Personality: Lucanus is an idealist to the core. He believes wholeheartedly in ideas such as chivalry and honour, and the very idea of fighting dirty is difficult for him to comprehend. Youthful, naive and from a noble upbringing, he has almost no idea how to lead an army or fight a war, and is more interested in holding tourneys and catching the eye of noble ladies. Thankfully, his Alakazam, Revan, helps to keep him grounded and deal with some of the more logistical aspects of being a Warlord.
History: An exceptionally gifted Auric (though one with more potential talent than actual skill), Lucanus quickly rose to become leader of an exploratory force to conquer new lands in the king's name. His small army established themselves Pugilis but had neither the lands nor the forces to fight a war - however, the former Warlord of Pugilis agreed to concede his position to Lucanus, in exchange for Lucanus vowing to destroy the Ghost Lord. To Lucanus, this is merely another noble quest for bards to sing about hundreds of years later.

Weapon of Choice: A relatively recently-forged bastard sword with absolutely no unusual properties, Auric or otherwise.

Takuma
Name: Takuma Sato
Age: Early sixties
Appearance: Takuma has short grey hair and a thick beard. He has a large scar running down the side of his face and through his left eye, which has been replaced by a glass eye - his remaining eye is a bright blue. His paranoid nature means that he wears his armour at all times.
Kingdom: Pugilis
Personality: Takuma is paranoid, cynical, pragmatic, and believes that might makes right - in other words, the sort of person you would expect to be Warlord of a place like Pugilis. He has very few filters, always voicing his honest and vocal opinions, and treats almost everyone with disdain regardless of their station. He bears a vicious grudge against Spectra and its Warlord. His only Pokemon is a Scrafty, which he has never named and has no intention of doing so - he has lost too many partners in battle over the years to care about naming another.
History: Formerly the Warlord of Pugilis and having held that title for almost forty years, Takuma has been a warrior his entire life and his personality has been shaped accordingly. Under his rule, Pugilis frequently quarreled and even warred with Illusio and Spectra, which eventually led to Takuma's family being killed by Spectran assassins. Since then, Takuma has borne a grudge against inhabitants of both nations. When Lucanus arrived on the shores of Pugilis, Takuma conceded the position of Warlord to him, having grown tired of war and believing himself to be too old, and now serves Pugilis as a standard Warrior.

Weapon of Choice: A katana devoid of any forms of ornamentation.
Ayame
Name: Ayame Arakaki
Age: Mid-twenties
Appearance: Ayame looks fairly nondescript and unassuming, with brown eyes and hair cut short. In her official capacity as Pugilian spymaster, she usually wears a black keikogi, though she has a virtually unlimited wardrobe of disguises.
Kingdom: Pugilis
Personality: Ayame usually has her head in the clouds somewhat, and is easily distracted and prone to going off on tangents. She is friendly and personable, occasionally too much so, though she is fairly easy to irritate. Generally idealistic, she prefers peaceful solutions wherever possible, which often interferes with her line of work. She is also a skilled actor, a trait which comes in handy during espionage missions. She seems to be able to understand her Machoke, Thor, despite the fact that he only ever communicates in flat grunts.
History: Ayame grew up as a farmer's daughter, eventually going to work at the castle as a servant at the age of fourteen. There, her tendency to get into places she shouldn't and for food to go missing from the kitchens whenever she was nearby brought her to the attention of then-Warlord Takuma, who, rather than firing her, decided to have her trained as a spy instead. Ayame took the role naturally, and soon rose to become Pugilis' spymaster.

Weapon of Choice: A pair of twin katars.
Brandon
Name: Brandon Dupont
Age: Early thirties
Appearance: Brandon has dusty blonde hair, blue eyes, and pale skin. He is usually clad in thick chain mail, regardless of the situation or the weather. He never smiles. Ever.
Kingdom: He hails from the same region as Lucanus, though is now a resident of Pugilis.
Personality: It's difficult to tell if Brandon has a personality of his own. He is stoic, dependable, and follows his orders to the letter. Unless ordered to, he rarely talks. His Toxicroak, Sumac, is almost entirely detached from reality, and so Brandon usually acts as a straight man to his remarks.
History: Brandon never talks about his past, save for the fact that he was an Auric knight just like Lucanus and was attached to Lucanus' expeditionary force to Pugilis to serve as a bodyguard. He has since served as a Pugilian Warrior in a manner so innocuous it borders on the suspicious.
