Re: PMD Returns: stories of PMD-A and PMD-B

Teala coments on how long can a Druddigon live. Maekrite quickly draws some calculations in his head.

Maekrite: <Whoa… That makes for over half a millennium from when that trade happened> -- looks a bit confused -- <This can not be the Colony I remember... any of the ones I remember,> -- thinks back to the AU -- <unless… o_o>

The Fearow and the Druddigons from the outside start calling for Teala )and Maekrite, but mostly for Teala).

Golden Forests

Teala leaves the cave and joins the other Druddigon, with Maekrite following shortly behind.

Once outside they meet a Fearow perched on a nearby tree talking to the Druddigon.

Random Druddigon♀: <Is she our new instructor?> -- points to Teala.

Fearow: <Nope, sorry...> -- waits until the wails from the Druddigon end; glares as one of the 'gons kicks a random pebble -- <You are supposed to work on some techniques today, under my supervision.>

More wails. The Fearow then turns his attention to Teala and Maekrite as the other Druddigon do too.

Fearow: <We have some guests today who we will treat with respect as representatives of the Dragonspiral Tower have always done with travellers ever since the Banishment.>

Fearow: <Yeah, you know… back when the dragons arose to betray the world...> -- unfolds a wing seeing some of the Druddigon feel uneasy -- <Not your species, kits, you were nice.>

Random Druddigon♀: <Yeah… my grandma says her grandma said her grandma said those were hard times but they finally stood up for their gods.> -- shrugs -- <Back then she was serving under an Archeops or something.>

The Fearow shrugs.

Fearow: <Quite wise a Archeops according to our records, and was the one who established the Druddigon colony here by sending back his own partner Druddigon with the Nidorino. Probably was a human of [science] before the Treason… but for some reason it seems nomon at the time remembered his [face].>

Notices that the other Druddigon are also listening. Maekrite is listening too, an eye twitching.

Fearow: <Ok but these are stories for another time! You all are supposed to be training! Come on, form in pairs and start, eh, doing that claw thing you do!>

Maekrite moves closer to the tree.

Maekrite: <Ahem… y-you sai something about some lore grounds?>

Fearow: <Yup, down the hill past the nearest creek...>

Random Druddigon♀: <Awww you're-> -- managed to block a Slash from her training partner -- <leaving us? We don't even know your name! Or your techniques…>

Golden Forests, PMD-B Johto

Random Druddigon♀: <Oh, Teala, what a nice name. I'm Olidah… this Druddigon is Parmoah.>

The other Druddigon manages to wave a oh hai while trying to free himself from Olidah's grip enough to breathe.

Fearow: <Come on please no distractions! My salary depends on this...> -- preens his feathers uncomfortably -- <You two, Teala and whoever you are, are you staying for practice or leaving to the lore grounds?>

Meanwhile in the loregrounds, Cleo and the others are being told a story as they are presented with a mural depicting what appears to be a group of Mareep marching on a city and being hailed by various Pokémon and humans… Cleo might notice that near the edges of various buildings depicted in the mural the shadows of Nidorinos can be seen.

Loreteller Linoone: <…to unite all of the populations in Johto under a common voice. While her effort was not always well received by the communities that wished to stay independant after the war, it did set an important example to live by for when the [Treason] happened, not many years afterwards.>

As the Pokémon walk towards the end of the mural, it can be noticed that the art style has shifted to a more hurried, unpolished one. The end of the mural depicts an arrangment of seven of seven shadowy figures near a circle of light with an inscription and color that seem to suggest psychic power, and the seven figures trying to keep hold of the light in their claws as it is being summoned to the heavens.

Re: PMD Returns: stories of PMD-A and PMD-B

(After this post)

After Riana asks about the shadowy figures in the mural the Linoone makes an indication for her and the other kits around to follow, as he leads the group to one of the side accesses of the cabin, ample enough so that everymon can see the pictures and small statues lying inside.

A Noctowl of particularly dark plumage steps out and looks down at the kits (and Riana), potentially scaring them. However he gives a nod at the group and then turns to Linoone.

Storyteller Noctowl: <They here for the story?>

Linoone: <Yup,> -- nods -- <please be gentle, Autura.>

Some random kits: <eeeep~> -- they start gathering in small orderly clusters.

The Noctowl steps aside and shows a small artistic depiction that is labelled, in somewhat rustic Monese, "The Treason". It depicts the seven figures from before, still somewhat shrouded in shadow, standing atop a mountain and holding a large pink orb up in the sky. Some of the figures can be seen to be those of a Hydreigon, Haxorus and Altaria but there's not much detail beyond that. Below them some of the Legendaries can be seen, in particular [Ho-Oh], Reshiram and Zekrom… lying on the ground, tied and impaled. And even further below, where the mountain ends and the farm valleys begin, rows of humans walking can be seen, but the more the humans walk the more they lose their shape and mind until they become a crowd of weak, common Pokémon slaves.

http://slopart.com/reevesworks/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/devolution2.jpg

Autura: <Many moons ago, humans and Pokémon were trying to live in harmony again after disaster struck from the evil of one man. But the Seven Jerk Dragons arose against all.> -- spreads wings dramatically -- <They took a power and attribution that belonged only to the Gods and unleashed an hecatomb on the whole world:  destroying all of [humanity], by somehow turning them into Pokémon and causing a tremendous chaos where mons, both natural and human, died in countless numbers.>

The Noctowl focuses on the lower part of the picture.

Autura: <When that was done, a whole species was extinct yet The Vow was no longer held; the Gods could no longer step in to punish the dragons for their evils. The Legendaries were forcibly cast down from their sacred places and the dragons arose to the top to rule a world where they spoke life and death. That way the world turned from justice and order to an animalistic delusion of control based on how cruelly could you kill your fellow mons.>

Golden Forests - Hills

(After this post)

Maekrite and Teala are walking downhill towards the lorehouse, the Nidorino feeling a bit confused and nervous; fortunately a temporary distraction happens when they hear the news from a Tropius.

Maekrite: <Uhm, hear that? A… festival for somemon very important? And in only->

A nearby Scyther yells as she vertically slashes a tree.

<…days! Perhaps we can stay and find more about this then...>

(After this post)

Riana and some of the kits ask questions about the events back then; Autura and the Linoone await patiently until the kits calm down to start answering the questions, by continuing the tale of course.

Autura: <Not much is known from the first days of the dark times. There was much lost in the chaos. The city of Golrod, formerly grandiose and prosper, fell into darkness…> -- points to a couple of books and small pictures on a table -- <I once met a Noctowl who held many records from the war, but haven't seen him ever since.>

Linoone: <All that we know is that the Gods were usurped and the world was left to fend for itself as the Jerk Dragons and their ilk moved on everywhere to take over. For many moons they oppressed anymon who was unlucky to not be a dragon, and even then some of their own.>

The Linoone and Noctowl moved aside to let the audience a better view of the other pictures, carvings and statues inside the cabin. There is a carving in fine wood, apparently not of Johtoan origin, of dragons fighting each other at the foot of a large tower in a snowy land. A cup of tea salvaged from the dark times with an inscription that, for any mon who was fortunate enough to be able to read human, reads "I VKS!". Somewhat damaged pictures of what humans looked like. And further to the left, near a door by which an Excadrill and a couple of Drillbur are just popping in to examine some of the artifacts, a painting that Silentran♂ finds interesting.

It depicts the Bell Tower bathed by the light of Ho-Oh, a Nidorino standing on top while down the tower and in the forest around it some Pokémon play around and have happy lives.

Silentran♂: <W-wait, that's… ._.>

Golden Forest, Lorehouse

When Cleo speaks, a Nidorina peeks out from nowhere and pats Cleo.

???!Nidorina: <Hush, silly, there is no such thing as Assassins~> -- gives some shifty looks, walks away.

Linoone: <Huh? You mean that mon?> -- points to the picture of the Bell Tower -- <The tales say that a Nidorino was granted an audition with Ho-Oh, before the Treason.>

Autura -shrugs as he notices the Nidorina: <The truth is we don't know much about it though... The Nidos don't talk about the subject...>

Monty -peeks in with some of his gang: <They don't? Perhaps it's a bleak spot of history or something...>

Xavier -walks behind from the other room, holding what appears to be the wheel of a bike: <Since when getting a persomonal audition with a Legendary is a bad thing?> -- mentally pokes Monty.

Linoone -coughs: <What we know is that if it happened, that Nidorino left sometime after. Perhaps he is the one who went to the lands of Unova.> -- points to the picture of Dragonspiral Tower.

Silentran♂ is about to raise a paw and point out that id did happen, but decides not to, he can't really do anything to prove it at the moment.

Autura: <O_O Uhm... er,>

Linoone -shrugs: <We honestly don't know. Some of us think he went through a hole like those the wizard Zoroark used to evacuate the Pokémon from the city.>

Silentran♂: <B-but that'd be a portal ._.> -- shudders as he seems to realize where (and possibly when) the group is.

Linoone: <Now, kits and guests, let's move in, because the next part of the lore is the cool one. You see there's a reason you don't see jerk, overblown dragons bossing anymon around anymore.>

The Linoone motions for Xavier to step aside, which the Pokémon is already doing since he has sensed the Linoone's request as it was mentally formed. With some curioisty he watches as the Linoone walks into another room then calls for the kits and guests to walk in. On the room there is a large table with what appears to be a map of Johto, and there are some small carvings with depictions of battles lying around.

Near the other end of the room there is what appears to be a somewhat damaged poster with an ad for Icelus's campaign, and a picture of a schröedinger city or town by the sea.

Re: PMD Returns: stories of PMD-A and PMD-B

Cleo mentions something about explosions.

Autura -hisses: <No we don't talk about the record explosions. Those were later in the story...> -- hops to the table -- <and we don't have records of that anyway.>

Linoone -walks up to Toothless, kits in tow: <What we have here is a map of Johto during the war… of how much was lost and how painstakingly was it taken back.>

Xavier senses something strange and decides to look around, sensing that the guests mons there including himself have suddenly become Personmons of Interest.

Meanwhile, outside of the cabin…

The Nidorina from before is talking to another Nidorina near a tree.

Nidorina #1: <…Are you sure that's what they said?>

Nidorina #2 -nods: <The fish knows too much. She's too close to The Truth.>

Nidorina #1: <Then we'll have to keep tabs on them... I'll inform the leaders, you make sure they are not left alone, send in a psychic or two.>

Nidorina #2 -turns tail and runs a small distance before looking back: <Er, there's a psychic guests. Do I send in a bug or a dark?>

Nidorina #1 -frowns: <Send Valatos in, he'll know to handle them. I'll go check the marked Nidorino.>

The two Nidorinas let out growls of good bye then turn each one in a different direction, under the watchful eye of a couple of Espeon and Umbreon hiding past the line of trees.

Re: PMD Returns: stories of PMD-A and PMD-B

Near Shimmer Hill

After dinner with the Gulpin, Shahinne and Roc were invited to spend the night, to which Roc agreeded after consulting Shahinne (whose decision only took about one tenth of a second and was expressed via a happy note). The night was spend in Roc nuzzling Shahinne while keeping an eye on stuff around him, though he was more and more sure those Gulpin would not be trying to nom him or his chick.

Next morning, aka "today", Roc and Shahinne woke up to some noise indicating hushing and crawling. The Staraptor immediately flew to the door to listen what was going on then peeked out with Shahinne when the Gulpin went away to another room.

Shahinne: <Dad?> -- yawns.

Roc: <Hush and follow, Shahinne~>

Roc walks through the corridor with his Starly following shortly behind in small hops. There's some muffled noises coming from one of the rooms in the house, but Roc notices the muffles sound content and not threatening or evil. A couple of moments later, some pounds can be heard.

Swalot Dad: <oooof~ :3>

Random Gulpin Kid #1: <Happy Pa's day! :3>

Random Gulpin Kid #2: <Happy Pa's day too! :3>

There some more happy pounding and the sound of the Swalot opening what appears to be some presents while the Gulpin kids play around the room. There's also Ms. Swalot suppressing some giggles and some kid talk about my gift being more awesome than your gift, etc.

Roc breathes, turns around and calls Shahinne to follow him away. Shahinne stays near the door of the room for a moment, eyes big and head tilted, then turns around and flies after her father, who has decided to go around the house checking every little feature and corner.

Helios asks if there's a shard in the bag. Algira picks the small object up and carefully lifts it.

Meanwhile, at Spinda's Bar, Sol is drinking something while sharing stories with some other mons.

Citizen Beedrill: <…and it is sad like that you know. I could have really used that money.> -- sips from drink.

Sol: <Really? I wonder if anymon would ever complete that task...>

Citizen Beedrill: <Well, I hear that Team Skyclaw is en route... a shame, considering the rumours we've heard. The little [Starly] was nice to have around.>

Sol squints at the Beedrill, is about to ask what about the Starly is [relevant] when suddenly somemon collapses nearby and starts shrieking.

Prick Chatot -hops on the table]: <WHAWHAWHAT! YOU MEAN SHAHINNE WENT TO THAT MISSION WITH THE GULPIN?????>

Citizen Beedrill: <Yup.> -- sips again.

Sol -to the Chatot: <Wait what Shahinne?>

Chatot -starts flailing around: <She's going to be nomed alive! Or dead, same difference!>

The Chatot however just shrugs Sol off and goes bang his head against a wall, cursing how they have to lose the Starly now that she was earning the guild a good amount of money in taxes and good PR. As soon as he mentions that, he starts hiccuping.

Sol: <Hang on you...> -- jumps down from her seat and faces the Chatot -- <What are you saying that she's going to be nomed?>

Chatot: <Oh noes, our PR!!!!! No one will want to work with us again!!! Or worse, we'll have to lower our taxes to less than 88%!!!>

And promptly passes out.

Sol: <A mon is goig to nom Shahinne and he thinks about PR?>

Beedrill -looks quaint, puts a coin on the table: <He deserves it, if you ask me.>

Near Shimmer Hill

Roc has been checking every corner of the house while Shahinne and the Gulpins look with interest. The raptor hops to a corner and brushes the wall with a wing, then folding to examine it. Minute particles of Pokémon skin. Heat impervous. Probably fire type. He looks up to the ceiling noticing minute traces of what appears to be smoke. Clearly the Culpins could not get that high so as to clean it effectively. Smoke spread uniformly, whoever was here was moving calmly. Any other possible traces of the Exploration Teams that came here previously must have been cleaned or eaten. Roc takes a quick glance at the Gulpin kids. Pupils and :3 face indicate sincere good impression. No wounds, scratches or any other indication of mon violence. The house was spacious and tidy and considering their curiosity the reaction the Gulpin family had to Roc exploring was completely normal.

Shahinne: <Dad?> -- tilts head to look around her father -- <What are you doing?>

Roc: <Shhh. Analyzing.> -- waves a wing.

Roc looks around the house while the Swalot couple mention to the birds that the exploration team that brought them the food and expelled the bandits stayed in the house for the night to help with some repairs too. Everything went smoothly and by the morning the group left as they came, they say :3.

Roc ponders for a moment about the repairs.

Roc -to Ms. Swalot: <And the other teams, they just came in and...>

Ms. Swalot: <We thought they were visiting and thanking us for the reward… since all they did was talking about the money.> -- hops around -- <Some of them even played with the kids, they were so nice. They stayed here for the night… :3>

Roc: <…and by morning they left without problem?>

The Swalots nod while their children hop in for nuzzles.

Roc: <And without any clue, it seems...>

While Shahinne had some fun talking to the Gulpin Roc finished his revision of the house. There was nothing else to look for inside. He turned to look at the windows, noticing something... Rock walls. No window entry-side. If something happened outside these Gulpin would not have noticed. He realized that if the exploration teams were ever here there had to still be some sort of clue around the house.

Roc: <I guess it is time for us to check outside, Shahinne.> -- calls the bird to come closer -- <After that we'll have to leave.>

Mr. Swalot: <Oh dear... I hope those nice Pokémon are fine. :3>

Roc: <Hmmm…>

A moment after and after a brief complain by Shahinne, Mr. Swalot opens the door and the two birds step outside to the grassy surroundings of the house. Shortly after the Swalot couple also step by the door to look at them, a bit worried, perhaps, that whatever had vanished their previous guests would also vanish the nice little bird and her apparently stern father.

Roc took a quick look outside, noticing the lively grounds and grass in a way he had omitted noticing it before. Shahinne let out a happy note at finding herself outside and hopped around while Roc noticed the wild other mons around the area were  just living their own lives.

…Something had to have happened in between.
