Jacob: -Blinks- "Wait... is that..."
-Blinks at the voice-
"Oh Deziree! Dune! It's... wow! I didn't expect... well... wow! This is really unexpected! It's good to see you guys again!"
-Beat-
"Uh... hrm. It would have been easier to call ahead but that would have been boring. So then! Do you guys want me to come up there or would you rather come inside my house?"
Deziree: Oh, I'd love to give you a tour of th-
-Dune comes over and lays a hand on Deziree's shoulder.-
Dune: I think it might be better to get off of the ship for once, don't you think, dear?
-Deziree blinks before sighing.-
Deziree: Oh, fine.
-Dune looks down at Jacob and nods.-
Dune: We'll be right down.
Jacob: -Nods back- "I'll be right here."
Regina: <It's pleasant to see they've been well. They certainly seem happy.>
Jacob: "They're a young married couple, what do you expect?"
Argentum: <Assertion, you've managed to find happiness without being married.>
Jacob: "Well yeah. It's not the only way to be. Okay shush we'll have none of this discussion right now."
-A hatch opens up underneath the airship, and Dune and Deziree soon step out.-
Dune: Hey, Jacob. Sorry for the weird landing procedure. Deziree likes hotdogging when the kids are away.
-Deziree gives Dune a sour glance, but to her credit doesn't smack him.-
Jacob: "So I've noticed... And hey, at least I have something to do now. You've broken so many regulations with that one procedure I'll be spending 12 hours explaining and doing paperwork. Just how I wanted to spend my vacation! It's fine, seriously. Just got off the phone with Ren. He's doing well, and he's one of the few people I talk to regularly since he lives here. Come on, let's go inside. I don't think I told most people but we restored my parent's manor. It's better than new!"
-Turns around and starts walking back towards the mansion behind the treeline of the town-
"Ah, the weirdness."
Jacob, Dune and Deziree might notice Lyuri nearby, looking at the airship. The only notable changes in her style was that she now was wearing a pair of sunglasses, though currently they were above her eyes, her skin was also a bit tanned.
"I almost missed it." she said, with a small smile on her face.
Dune: Oh, neat! I'm still trying to get the cash together to fix up the old Morton mansion over in Kalos.
-He goes to follow Jacob. Deziree, however, notices a particular someone looking at her airship.-
Deziree: Oh, hey there, Lyuri! I didn't expect to see you here!
-A gym now stands in the back of the town, the exterior modeled after a frozen over cave. Inside, three statues stand at the back of an ice floor puzzle. Each statue depicts a forme of Kyurem; Black Kyurem, White Kyurem, and regular Kyurem. Elise is asleep on an Avalugg, who is also asleep at the foot of the statues. She slowly wakes up, revealing her to be wearing a dark blue dress, with each arm being patterned after one of the Kyurem formes, Black for the right arm, White for the left-
Elise:-peers over the Avalugg's front- Good morning Titanic! ^_^
-The Avalugg yawns loudly-
Titanic:<Morning, Elise...let me sleep next time.> -closes his eyes, and goes back to sleep-
Elise: Alright then. But don't sleep too long! I might need you.
-A certain Beartic stumbles in from the back, tripping over a rock, and sliding across the floor-
Cola:<OI! WHO PUT THAT ROCK THERE?> -smacks into another rock- <Ow.> @_@
Elise:-giggles- Oh, Cola. You should watch where you're going. -She recalls him from the floor as a challenger enters the gym- Oh, hello there. Here for a badge?
-The challenger nods-
Elise:Well then, let's get started. Go, Atlas!
-She sends out a Cloyster as the challenger sends out his Lucario-
"'Sup?" asked Lyuri, smiling.
Jacob: "I could help with the money thing. You wouldn't believe the prize money you make beating challengers. Also -"
-Sees Lyuri- "Oh hey! Lyuri! Didn't know you were here..."
-Looks between the three- "Uh, we were just heading to my house to... well I guess catch up. Hang out. Feel like joining us?"
Dune: Oh, hey thanks - keeping the upkeep on the airship's pretty draining sometimes, even with Deziree's Porygon-Z finding us, quite literally, the best deals on the planet.
-Deziree looks from Jacob to Lyuri expectantly.-
"Well, sure. I just need to-"
Suddenly some laughing could be heard and a young boy and a Riolu come into the scene, seemingly playing with each other. They both stop once they see the airship though.
"Mommy, is that one of those cool flying thingies from TV?" asked the boy, in awe.
"Sort of. I guess I could say yes." said Lyuri, with a shrug
Duke then arrives soon after, snickering a bit before seeing everyone else.
"Oh, hi everyone." he said, smiling cheerfully.
Jacob: Oh heya Duke. And..." -Kneels down to see the young boy-
"Oh who is this, might I ask?" -Smiling-
Regina: <...>
Argentum: -Is crawling up the airship-
-Deziree looks down at the young boy, realization crossing her face.-
Dune: Hey, Duke! Good to see you!
-Argentum might notice that he is being watched by another Metagross who is looking over the railing.-
Metagross?: <Who is this who walks upon the creation of Dr. Mobius!?>
-Deziree looks up at the strange Metagross.-
Deziree: Mobius! Don't yell!
Dr. Mobius!: <Oh! Uh, sorry, Dr. Morton...>
"My name is Jaden, mister!" said the boy, smiling cheerfully.
Duke and Lyuri glance at the Metagross, but don't pay much attention to it. They glance at each other and smile and just let Jaden interact by himself.
Jacob: "Heh. Well hi Jaden." -Ruffles his hair-
-Looks up at Lyuri and Duke, then to Dune and Deziree- "Families must be nice, aren't they?"
-Stands back up-
Argentum: -Is suddenly on top of Dr.Mobius!- <Argentum is this who walks upon your creation. It is a very nice creation. I wish to examine your creation.>
Aria: -giggles- Actually Aunt Caroline, my parents have been having me take etiquette lessons. I thought the walking thing would be useful. My father and mother have told me that balance is vital to anyone including trainer.
Meg: <Especially trainers from our group.>
Aria: Yeah, considering that when you all were still one big group you, as Mom said, "you saved worlds, rescued civilizations, defeated terrible creatures, and ran a lot. Seriously, there was an outrageous amount of running involved."
Meg: <.<
>.>
<♫DOOOOO~ WEEEEE~ OOOOOO~♫>
Dune: Well, they can be a bit tiring, but we like to think that cultivating a child is an art...
Deziree: *Sigh* And, like all arts, it's best when it's suffered for.
-The two of them exchange knowing glances.-
Deziree: Say, Jaden - you have the same special powers your mom and dad have?
-Dr. Mobius! flails for a moment at the extra weight of a second Metagross.-
Dr. Mobius!: <Hm... very well! Just, please, do not poke, prod, talk loudly around, think unpleasant thoughts toward, or in general interact too much with the aetherium core. It is quite testy when not in use.>
"It's nice as long as there's no crying involved. Or having to change diapers." said Lyuri, rolling her eyes slightly.
"It's great to be part of a family, still." said Duke, smiling
Jaden looks at Deziree and looks surprised
"You know mommy and daddy have powers? But it's a secret!" said Jaden, amazed "Can you read minds or have you been spying on us or something?!"
The Riolu was just listening to the conversations, but he did look as confused as Jaden in regards to Deziree.
-Dune and Deziree chuckle.-
Dune: We've known your mommy and daddy for quite some time, Jaden.
Deziree: And... our youngest pair have those powers, too.
Argentum: <Duly noted.> -Eagerly goes to investigate everything-
Jacob: -Looking between Lyuri, Deziree, Dune, and Duke- "... Heh. I guess everything has it's perks and drawbacks. Not that I'd know. And you silly people and your powers, though I suppose... well never mind."
"Alright then, if you don't mind we'll be continuing this discussion at my home, and away from possible eavesdroppers. Regina, my dear. If you would, please."
Regina: -Nods and blips the assembly...-
-The assembly is now outside of a large ebony and ivory house, just in front of a marble arch with "Locum Luminis" engraved in it, and to the right of the arch is a stone mailbox designed in the likeness of Rayquaza's head, with emerald eyes and "Anerriphtho Kubos" engraved in its forehead-
-Beyond it is a garden with a cobblestone path leading to the house itself, which is an odd yet seamless blend of baroque and contemporary architecture-
-The house itself is flanked by two stone fountains, and several wild Pokémon are scurrying around the front of the house, and above the front door, two floors up about is a railed terrace overlooking the way back to the town-
"Welcome to the center of my universe. Shall we head in?"
Lyuri and Duke both stare at the manor
"... Fancy." said Lyuri.
"I guess some people just have a lot of money to spend." said Duke, snickering.
Jaden seemingly didn't even notice he had been teleported away.
"Ooooh! Daddy said I have powers too, but I can't use them yet. Daddy is the coolest daddy ever, he has his own dojo and he's a master fighter and he can also use powers like creating weapons and he can even turn into a Pokémon! He's even going to train me so I can be as cool as he is!" said Jaden, looking extremely excited "And mommy gave me Ace here so we could practice together at some point and so I can start being a trainer later on!" he added, pointing at the Riolu, who just waves
Duke just sweatdrops and chuckles a bit
"As you can see, our son has his idol in the family." said Lyuri.
-Dune and Deziree blink as they're Teleported.-
Dune: *Whistle* Nice.
Deziree: Indeed.
-She looks down at Jaden and smiles.-
Deziree: Well, good for you! Our two youngest, Bismond and Cooper - they're twins - happen to both inherit their power from their grandmother.
-Dune's face remains passive despite the reference to his mother.-
Deziree: They're training with Champloo the Lucario right now. And Phosphora, our daughter, is at Auntie Caroline's for dance class.
Jacob: "Actually Duke, I inherited all of this. It was my parents. I just restored it. Spent the better part of my first year as Champion doing so. If I didn't already have this I'd be living probably in a small modest cabin. And it's small by mansion standards. It's three stories and a basement, it has a single kitchen, I think twelve bed rooms with they're own bathrooms, three guest rooms, a large living room and... well it'd be easier to show you but the point is this is more of just a really big house than a mansion."
-Chuckles a little- "Come on, you can keep talking while we walk." -Walks up and bursts through the front door-
-The entrance hall is eerily similar to... something. It is a wide room, at the end of which is a large waterfall-like red staircase with golden railing leading up to the second floor of the room, which has an inverted U shape that overlooks the hall, and a chandelier hanging down from the ceiling-
"Trint, we have guests."
-A light blue transparent feminine figure with long pale hair and wearing in a dress is projected from the chandelier-
Trinity: "Already aware of that. Since they don't have luggage I assume they aren't staying. Already have tea being made, and some coffee. Discord's got his family out of the library and the house is yours. Oh yeah Argentum wanted me to tell you he finished making the lazy river in the basement."
Jacob: "Thank you, good bye."
Trinity: "Until next time. Logging off." -And she vanishes-
Jacob: "Right then, so since none of you have swim stuff we're not going to be using that... so then would you prefer a tour or find some place to go already? I'm in no rush to catch up..."
Lyuri, Duke, Jaden and Ace get into the mansion, all of them looking pretty impressed, though Jaden looked back to Deziree soon after.
"I'm an only son, but Ace here is pretty much my brother in all aspects! Having a brother is really fun!" said Jaden
"We raised them as if they were brothers. Considering the kind of family this is, it's only fitting don't you think?" said Duke, chuckling
"Eh, we're just tagging along. We have no real preference here." said Lyuri, to Jacob.
