Scouter: <Toy seems rather suspicious!>
Maggie: "Wait, which ruins? Where?"
Chrome: <Where did you get that?!>
Lina: I'm guessing that's from that civilization of yours?
Xavier: -blinks- <...Yep.>
You mean, that civilization Doc and the others were going on about?
Rota!Mew: <Oh yeah, there's this place filled with stuff like that not too far from here.>
Maggie: "Could you tell us where that is, maybe?"
Sol -bows: <Wouldn't hurt to know. We'll be careful and won't touch anything...>
Looks at Dintel still trying to "swim" in the air towards the toys.
Sol: <…So maybe it is best if Dintel stays behind :3>
Rota!Mew: <It's due west of here, nestled in a canyon. I'd suggest you be careful though, there's all these nasty traps and stuff, and I know you mortals are more squishy than we are.>
Silent looks at Xavier and Chrome.
"…Ah, fine. I guess we are due to explore those ruins, then."
Sol -shyly: <Uh, could I take a [look] at the artifact? It looks slightly complicated...>
Rota!Mew: -Keeping Dintel about a foot away- <Here you go.>
-Hands Sol a broken version of this-
Sol purrs and examines the device carefully, while Silent frowns.
"I like that you have your fun Sol but we gotta go." -- to Mew -- "Excuse me, gotta fetch the little critter."
And recalls Dintel to his Pokéball, not before the Sandshrew can complete a growl.
Sol: <Awwww…> --blinks-- <Uhm… I'll just take a moment. Will catch up with you later! :3>
-and continues prodding the device.
"Sigh..."
-to the others-
"Yeah, let's just go there."
If Mew was right, it should be right over...here.
-In front of us, nestled in the canyon walls, is a cobalt blue, hexagonal door-
Chrome: <That's one of ours, all right. Now to open it...>
"Huh, hexagonal..." -- crosses arms -- "At least that's somewhat simple... unlike other passageways I've had to see on TV."
Ichtacya frowns, not understanding, and Silent pats her. The Leafeon turns to Chrome.
Ichtacya: <So you've had a place here for a long time.>
Muddy: <You know, it kinda reminds me of the Vault back in Angela almost.>
-Feeling the canyon walls-
Hmm, interesting.
-Pours some Aura into a spot on the wall-
-Maggie notices Tagg pouring Aura into the spot in the wall-
Maggie: "What are you trying to do, Tagg?"
Voila.
-The doors open-
Figured that two species like Alakazam and Metagross would have doors that required the use of abilities like Aura.
Chrome: Knew you'd figure it out.
Umbra: What's inside, though?
Ichtacya peeks inside, ears and leaves become stiffen.
Ichtacya the Leafeon♀: <I can't see much.> -- turns to Chrome -- <I guess you know the kind of things we can [expect] inside?>
Silent produces a flashlight and a bag of M&Ms, just in case.
It's very quiet in here.
Muddy: <Let's keep our guard up, we don't know what this place has for defenses.>
Silent fiddles with his Pokéballs for a moment, before saving all but Algira's ball in his belt.
"Just in case. Anyway, let's move in. Sloooowly."
Ichtacya takes a couple of steps inside but stops, hesitant to continue.
Ichtacya -growls: <This all smells old. I can barely make anything else.>
-Maggie and team enter the ruins, the area surrounding them being illuminated slightly thanks to Scouter's ability-
Silent steps inside carefully, Ichtacya by the side, and the two walk in following Scouter. Ichtacya sniffs the walls every once in a while, looking confused. Silent examines the ground with his flashlight in search of any indications about traps or about what paths to take.
"s'OK, Ichtacya. So long as we don't hear a 'sssssssssssssssss we are golden."
-Checking the walls-
The writing kinda reminds me of the written Monese back in the Pokémon-only worlds, but it's almost completely different.
Muddy: -Looking at a bit of artwork- <It looks kinda like a city, but not like any city I've seen before.>
Cobalt: <Not surprising, our aesthetics are far different than that of humans.>
Chrome: <Pretty much what Cobalt said.>
Lina: -looking at it all- Fascinating...
"This is all very…" takes a more serious look at the artwork, "innovative given our perspective I guess."
Ichtacya -tilts head at the pictures: <Where did peoplemons walk in there? o.o>
"Ichtacya I don't think they did…"
Ichtacya looks confused and steps closer. As she does, she senses something under her paw and looks down.
Ichtacya: <...Oh? Someone left a [plate] on that small hole, it just [sunk]~>
Silent has about one millisecond to sweatdrop.
"…"
Everyone, hit the deck!
